Re: Litecoin halvening price speculation?

I think that below 0,015 BTC LTC is currently underpriced and above 0,025 its overpriced.

After the halving these two limits should move up a notch maybe by 0,05.

What do you people think?

After the start of sales of new products from AMD - Radeon RX5700XT, the first information on the capabilities of these cards in mining cryptocurrency began to come. And this is not what many counted on, because All current versions of miners either do not work with this card or give a very low hashrate. At the moment, we managed to launch testing of the Radeon RX5700XT on the miner Phoenix 4.2 and Lolminer 0.8.3 and the test results were much worse than one would expect from video cards of this level. Most miners are primarily interested in the performance of Ethereum's cryptocurrency mining cards on the Ethash algorithm, where AMD cards have traditionally always had a significant advantage from competing Nvidia solutions, so we’ll give the test results for this mining algorithm first.

The Radeon RX5700XT hashrate based on the Ethash (Ethereum) algorithm:
Phoenix 4.2c - 4 -4.5 MH / s

The result of 4 MH / s per second can be called frankly weak, since significantly weaker RX570 / 580 video cards use 29-33MH / s for this algorithm

For other Equihash, Cuckatoo algorithms, the situation is the same.

The Radeon RX5700XT hashrate on the Eguihash 192.7 (ZERO) algorithm:
Lollipops 0.8.3 - 0.67H / s

Hashreyt Radeon RX5700XT on the Eguihash 144,5 Zhash (BitcoinGold) algorithm:
Lolminer 0.8.3 - 0,2H/s

Hashreyte Radeon RX5700XT on the algorithm Cuckatoo31 GRIN31 (GRIN):
Lolminer 0.8.3 - 0,1H/s

It is the new RDNA architecture that should be blamed for this failure. All current miners for AMD video cards are optimized for the previous GCN architecture, and to fully unlock the potential of the new generation of AMD video cards in mining, you will have to be patient until the first miners with optimization for Navi video cards with RDNA architecture appear.

That's a complete cut and paste, and tells us nothing new. I see Claymore has a card and is testing it, which is excellent news. Fingers crossed we get RDNA mining figures soon...

I say that it is pretty much guaranteed, knowning claymore's reputation

What I fear is that we small miners will get a cut version and large mining farms a much more efficient one.

When others start to build code for RDNA then competition will force everyone to provide good performance to the public too.

I think 50-60 Ethhash will be possible.

Ram subsystem is fast enough.

Hello.
I am an already verified member living in the EU.

I have not yet ordered a card because I want some info.

Please take note that I am mostly interested in ATM withdrawals.

Can I do ATM withdrawals in European Union with your Union Pay international card?

As I can understand Union Pay international is already available and Shipping correct?

Mastercard has yet to ship?

Author disappeared...

LOL last time online was today. How you came to the conclusion that the author is disappeared?
He more than a week didn't answer in this theme...

And? This is not the first time, he didn´t answer for long time.

How long claymore didn´t answer in his threads?
Claymore didn't answer during time when he didn't work on his miner... If phoenix suspended development of his miner - it's bad...
Not really , we have claymore Smiley 35 mh/s on a rx 580 its pretty nice .
Phoenix double kernels always faster than Claymore. And now when exists AMD Memory Tweak Tool for Windows, we can use REF parameter wich is the same as rxboost on Claymore miner. So lower devfee+double kernels = 1-2% faster.
Only new drivers support need to be updated. 19.4.3 is the last full supported at now by Phoenix miner.

Which command do i need to run double kernels?

⭐ Merited by bones261 (1)

Was very skeptic about GRIN money supply at the beggining. Thought it would inflate the market too much.

After some thought i realized that 160 million coins in 5 years time is not much, how many ethereum are there already?

Then another thought came, these coins are the ULTIMATE HOARDING coins.

Nobody knows how much you have, nobody can see you move it.

No Satoshi effect here.

Individuals and corporations (legitimate or no) can HOARD and move huge quantities of Grin with no side effects.

This could create a situation that if no new coins come through at a steady rate, the market would starve for liquidity.

Any thoughts on this?

Am I right?

Right now its only Minerbabe on linux that supports g31 on GPU's ?

Is there an ANN thread in bitcointalk.org or the official grin forum?

because I feel uneasy of trusting them without any user comments.

Could be a virus chest.

Well I haven't found one, but I think that GrinPro's team is related to Ace miner:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5097693.0

Both miners passed my security check, but that doesn't really say much.

Ace is apparently a ripoff of GGM.  Grin Pro is from the GGM dev: https://grinpro.io/

Who says that Grin Pro is from GGM dev?

Is there anyone to vouch for this miner?

Where can one find this Grin Pro miner, is it a paid version?

I found the GGM here https://github.com/mozkomor/GrinGoldMiner/releases

No it's not paid, it's with a fee as usual. https://grinpro.io/

Running it on my Vega64, 3.1-3.2 G/s, best speed so far on AMD cards.

That said, for NVDIA chipsets, GMiner 1.22 is out as of yesterday, giving similar speeds with the latest version of bminer, 1080ti=6.2 G/s
Also it does not require Cuda 9.2 or higher Wink

I just started mining Grin in grinmint.com (Win10, AMD). I've created account in BitForex, as this seemed like the most straight-forward way to get a wallet address where I can send the mined coins (when confirmed etc).
Can somebody who has already went through that explain the process - once there are mined coins in GrinMint, how to get them in BitForex with min.risk?

Another question - I saw some topics for Bminer being the fastest miner. I have AMD cards, so it doesn't work with them, right?

RX 580, 8GB gives me ~ 1,5 gps - is that OK, good or bad?

It was a pretty efficient spot to be w/ GGM.  Grin Pro (basically new vers of GGM) gives a massive bump to 2 gps w/ same settings.

Where can one find this Grin Pro miner, is it a paid version?

Is sunny king back on development of Primecoin or just for a consulting role in the upcoming primecoin foundation?

PS. The Bitcoin Prime project seems to have exit scammed....

They decided to build on top of primecoin instead of forking. That is really a much better path forward and more sustainable. It is a very smart decision and primecoins future is looking brighter now then it have for years.

That was a month ago.

now they suddenly disappeared

They said so for weeks before they took down the bitcoin prime discord and deleted the web page. There is a new primecoin discord up now. They didn't disappear suddenly.

Did Bitcoin Prime Project just Exit - Scammed?
by
Old_Timer
on 02/09/2018, 15:24:13 UTC

I am a long time holder of XPM, was here when Sunny King released it.

This story with Bitcoin Prime was really all over the place with the infamous Rhett backing it up until 2 days ago.

bitcoinprime.org is now down and the lively discord group just disbaned.

I really did not get burned, also made some profit as I had XPM during the hype season.

BUT OMG this is like some elementary school kids scam!

There is no effort for covering up or anything.

Just cut n run!

Ok this is really funny, but I bet people lost a lot of money.

Hopefully on the 30th of August Sunny King said he will help create an XPM foundation. Some serious work could take place now.
