You have time probably at least a year before you need to upgrade to 2tb.

To clarify, it's ARMBIAN OS that Futurebit software modified to add ckpool, node and bitcoind in the futurebit format and connect the miner.  I think there should be a software download only really needed.   So there should be an update.  Check with the memory manufacturer too.  It is an Orange Pi running in the system?  Ubuntu 22 Linux.  They also say up to 2TB.  Maybe if futurebit has a list of compatible 2TB nvme or what does the ARM core work with?

Yes, you are right, now that I checked its Orange Pi 4 LTS 4gb, checked on their website and the only thing I found was this in the user manual :

"When purchasing, be sure to choose an M.2 NGFF SSD that supports the NVMe
protocol. The corresponding M.2 interface is of the M key type. SSDs that meet this
requirement should be able to support it. If it is an M.2 NGFF SSD of the SATA
protocol, it is not supported. Yes, you can check this link for information on the M.2
interface:"

Anyway, I think my Kingston NV3 complies with this. I also asked in the Orange Pi reddit subsection, but for some reason they deleted my thread...
It would be nice if futurebit fix the incompatibility issue in a future update. Thanks for answering.

Actually, when you mentioned ckpool, once the node syncs completely I can mine to my node directly, right? Or do I still need ckpool in anyway? Thanks!

Sounds like a compatibility issue.   I'd go with the 1TB for now that works.  After the full blockchain is downloaded you can copy the nvme later.
Would a USB to NVME be detected and compatible with the 2TB installed into the USB?  This could allow you to copy the data.  If you could mirror the 1TB to 2TB after full download would the mirroring solve the compatibility issue?  Good catch on startup error message.

Does the raspberry Pi onboard the Apollo 2 have an Eeprom? And is it possible the fix the incompatibility issue I'm having with my 2TB nvme by installing the latest official raspberry eeprom?
And if I do that are there any settings I'll mess up which will result in the apollo OS not working as it should? Thanks in advance Smiley

(Btw the 1tb older nvme is syncing the blockchain is at 80% at the moment)

Its not a windows file system.  It's a linux filesystem.  Check that the nvme is seated properly in the slot.  Shouldn' t need any force.  May take a few minutes for the apollo os to format the card and setup the Bitcoin database files.   Its supposed to format the card on initial boot.  After you log in and setup the apollo have you checked the system monitor?  You can see the nvme card there and read/write activity.  If it's not there then it wasn't detected on boot.   Shutdown/turn off and restart.  Does that memory card have LED lights you can see indicating read/write activity on card?   Does the red light turn on on the bottom of the unit where the NVME is connected?  That light tells you the card has been detected and is active.  It turns on during boot and stays on the whole time.  Is there another NVME card you can try, a 1TB or 512GB at least to just try it out to see if it responds the same?

Yes, the apollo 2 boots and it even starts mining, I've checked it on monitor. Immediately the infamous "Connection refused... Your node is not running" msg appeared and it didn't fix by itself for few hours.
Tried reindex=1 , nothing happened.
Later I figured the problem is that the apollo 2 doesnt recognize the NV3 2TB on boot. This nvme is perfectly operational and well installed into the socket, its tested on multiple computers.
I tried another nvme KC3000 1tb and the system detects it and it is visible in the OS.
There is a constant red light on the board on which the nvme is installed (bottom of the apollo) regardless if the nvme is detected or not.
So the question (for now) is how to make the apollo detect the NV3 2TB nvme....

Hi, my Apollo 2 full node (without nvme) arrived yesterday and it can't detect my brand new Kingston NV3 2tb nvme drive... After multiple unsuccessful tries to start the node, I plugged it into my pc and formatted it to gpt ntfs partition, but the nvme still doesn't show up on the Apollo 2. When running Gparted or typing lsblk in the terminal only the sdcard shows up...
AND at the same time when I plug my pc's main nvme drive Kingston KC3000 1tb it shows up immediately.
So, could some one help me how to make the Apollo 2 recognise the nv3 2tb nvme? Thanks

Hi! Sorry for the off topic but I'm out of ideas! At least I'm using phoenix miner!

So, I bought 2x Tplink p100 smart plugs and have set 2x asrock motherboards  1. b450 steel legend, R5 3600 with 1x 1kw PSU, 2. x470 Master Sli R5 1600, 2x PSUs 1kw connected together. So both motherboards set to restore power after power loss, the first mobo starts as it should after switching the smart plug on, BUT the second x470 mobo only starts spinning bot PSUs fans... but nothing starts...no RBGs, no fans running, not even cpu fan, ONLY the 2 PSU fans are running. It only starts working properly after turning the rig on from the classic power button.

Anyone has any suggestion what the problem could be? Once again Im really sorry for the off topic and thanks in advance!
Cheers!

Have you tried swapping the units at the smart plugs?
If it follows the rig start there….if it stays at the plug replace it.
Then do the same for the psu’s and motherboards until you isolate what is causing the behavior.

Thanks for the reply! I found out someone had same problem with Asrock x470 motherboard and resolved it by updating the bios. So I gave it a try and updated from bios version 3.50 to 3.70 and this solved my problem!

Now the rig starts when power comes back, but the only problems is that windows shows that message before it enters into windows that the system didn't start up correctly and I should choose restart or actions to restore windows.
Its a bit of a bummer again because you cant log on with teamviewer and cant firgure out why the rig isn't booting...

anyone having issues with RX 6800??

My 6800 Fighter is constantly fluctuating between 40 and 62mhs, from 100w to 180w, regardless of what settings I input in radeon wattman.
But I dont know if its a compatibility issue, since I have all kind of cards in my rig (2x3080, 3070, 5700xt, 1080ti, 6800) and the Fighter is my main card( the one giving signal to the monitor)
Anyone else experiencing same issue?

Have you tried running them in Afterburner?

I think the settings for RX 6000 series can only be applied in wattman... Otherwise I'm using afterburner for all the other cards.

owners of 1080ti whats the max MH without scam ethpill file you ve been getting ?

I have 3 , 1080 Ti cards running 5.4c and 5.5c with -straps 2 and they all get 44-48 mh/s, I would say avg is 46.2 ish

Do Not use ETHPill I downloaded from the OP and get trojan. Someone remote desktop into all 3 of my PCs and went though my browser and all saved passwords. Somehow Gmail notified me ( I have no idea why). They even did VNC from my PC into my dad's and went through his stuff too.

They were mainly looking for exchange login which I don't have.  They tried logging into Bittrex and I have no funds.

I only getting 35-36 , with -straps 2 and all, what im doing wrong? can you post your settings?

Yeah same with me. Im also getting 35-36 and the straps option isnt helping.
Actually I noticed, that the miner reports something like this: In order to set straps you need to run phoenix miner as administrator. But when I try to run the .bat file as administrator the window closes immediately and nothing happens. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!

Could some one pls tell me what command must be entered in the bat file that replaces the pill for ether?
With the pill I have around 10 mh/s increase on my 1080ti, but somewhere was mentioned now there's a command that renders the pill useless.

Im currently getting around 47,7 mh/s on a palit 1080ti Jetstream 85 tdp, 220 core, 330 mem. At very few occasions it jumps to 49 mh/s when I put EXACTLY 200 core/ 230 mem, but if goes back down to 47 whe new dag file loads or smt.
Lowering tdp below 75% or core clocks drives the speed down significantly. Any idea on different settings that can push it to 49?
Thanks!

Could some one help!? We are not all programmers here and there is no explanation how to use the new wallet 0.12.1.2
I cant uninstall the old wallet and when I open the cerberus-qt.exe file it just lunches the program again. Now I cant see my old balance and God knows what happens to the new coins coming from bsod.pw ? How can I fix this? Is it all lost?

I saved a backup file (.dat) but cant find where to load it. Never used a pc wallet before...

--------------

Disregard, managed to fix it by clicking the reset button in the settings->options tab.
Any way, nothing is properly explained.
