Re: The benefits of cryptocurrency in the global economy.
by
Omahabit
on 15/07/2025, 13:00:05 UTC
As we all know cryptocurrency has plenty benefits although there are also challenges, but it is essential to consider good things cryptocurrency can offer to people worldwide.

CRYPTOCURRENCY IS BRINGING THE WORLD TOGETHER : it is already obvious that cryptocurrency doesn't care about borders, anybody can make use of cryptocurrency wether in big city or in small village. that is to say cryptocurrency can bring people together no matter where you are from. Cryptocurrency also make the global economy more welcoming by allowing everybody to participate, regardless of where they live or what language they speak. this help establish connections between different cultures and communities, making the world smaller and friendlier.

CRYPTOCURRENCY IS FOSTERING INNOVATION AND CREATIVE : the rise of cryptocurrency  has ignite a wave for innovation, alot of people are coming up with new plans and ideas on how to use Blockchain technology in ways that goes beyond money. Cryptocurrency is pushing beyond what we thought was not possible. this innovation can lead to better tools and services that can make our lives easier and more connected.

CRYPTOCURRENCY OFFERS YOU CONTROL OVER YOUR MONEY : though this particular benefit might be common among us, but let call it a reminder or an enlighten to newbies, that one of the significant benefit cryptocurrency can offer to them is control over their money. As we all know in the traditional banking system you have to trust the bank to keep your money Safe and handle your transactions accurately. But with cryptocurrency you're fully in control of your digital wallet, you decide how, when and why to use your money which can be empowering, especially in countries where there financial systems is fragile.

CRYPTOCURRENCY SECURITY IS THE SECURITY YOU CAN TRUST : as we all know security is a major concern when it comes to money. And cryptocurrency uses some of the top security methods available today. All thanks to Blockchain technology where every transaction is recorded and no possible for them to alter, make it difficult for someone to cheat nor scam others.

CRYPTOCURRENCY OFFERS SPEED AND AFFORDABLE TRANSACTIONS: this is the part I admire so much about cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency transactions are usually much faster and cheap than our traditional banking system. Cryptocurrency is more of advantage when you need to send money quickly. wether to pay bills, or purchase something online or sending money for our families and friends in another country, cryptocurrency can help make the process more efficient.
You are obviously right in your post with the benefits that cryptocurrency will offer to interested investors. Infact, how about we look at it this way because cryptocurrency is the future currency which is already being used in certain parts and deals closure. The innovation of cryptocurrency has been accompanied by A.I introduction and advancement and we know of BRICs currency and other projects trying to do better at adopting a new currency. Inorder words, an investment in cryptocurrency is the best way to get rich quicker and be among the strong that survive in the end.

Re: Ways on how to be financially protected and secured.
by
Omahabit
on 15/07/2025, 12:47:18 UTC
With the possibility of the federal consumer financial protection bureau being diminished or eliminated,I offer the following for your consideration;

Protect yourself and all your assets from scams. As AI takes hold, the number of scams that will come over the phone,in email,in real mail,in internet searches,in text messages,in link on web pages between news stories is beginning to multiply exponentially.
So if you have not already frozen your credit, please do it,it’s not difficult to do and turn off temporarily and refreeze.Thereafter, run your free annual credit report and check it for bad or suspicious information.

Make sure all,and i mean all access to any of your financial accounts including banking, credit card, investment and retirement is protected using 2 factor or multi factor authentication and pass keys are supposed to be state of the art.
Stop answering calls from unknown callers, let them go to voice mail and i think that alone will allow you to screen out scams.

And be extremely wary of AI generated search results, they cannot yet be trusted without verification.
Keep all your electronic devices up-to-date making sure all operating systems, security updates and applications are checking and updated frequently.

In conclusion;
Remember, there are perhaps millions of human and maybe billions of electronic bots out there that are trying to steal from what you have worked-out your life to build,so is time to put in some effort to protect yourself and your assets against any potential attack.
I highlighted the above in your post which shows panic in your tone and i am sure the worst time to make a wise investment decision is in one of these emotional state of panic.
It is wise on the follow up paragraphs as regards ensuring optimum security for all asset that one owns including financial asset both in the commercial banks and fintech and even in cryptocurrencies.
That would be for me a backup upon a backup security with a personal recovery access to all accounts while filtering out false intel and fake investment and untrue news so as not to allow greed get a hold of all one has labored for.

Re: Important update for Yellow Card users
by
Omahabit
on 05/07/2025, 15:45:20 UTC
This is the first time i am ever hearing about this service, Yellow Card cryptocurrency exchange, and i have gone on to do a little research about it, there i found that it is labeled the largest centralized cryptocurrency exchange in Africa. I would love to read reviews from Nigerian users who have actually used this exchange to send or receive cryptocurrency, how was the process. I also read that you can convert cryptocurrency to fiat on Yellow Card, who has done this before?
Theirs something I want to know, the name yellow card is it the name of the exchange? If the exchange is centralised exchange that means their privacy will not that strong, if it is being established in Nigeria, EFCC can break in into their office and extract the data of anyone who has done business with them if their is accusations to their customers,so for me is not good to go into something that you have not fully understand the concept, we have so many exchanges in the field so we need to know that scammers are everywhere before they will scam some of us and go away with our coins
Am sure this yellow card management means well and mean business because of the way they were quick to send a notification to their valued customers, telling them of their future plans and including them before time to secure their funds and login information so as to prevent loss of funds or login access upon still trying to access their site via the web.
I don't think that i have come across any person who uses this app though for whatever reasons it is used for, but i am sure there are more popular apps with similar functions that wont jeopardize investment or savings plan without as a scare with a notification as these.

Re: It's Never About Being Early, It's About Being Ready
by
Omahabit
on 05/07/2025, 15:24:17 UTC
note this, what really makes the difference in the long run isn't when you joined, but how well you are able to utilize this opportunity and make something useful from it...

But I think you won't argue with the fact that someone who has acquired BTC at a price of 100 bucks will have an advantage over someone who will buy bitcoin at the current price of 100 thousand dollars? You will have to work very hard to match up with those who are the old holger of BTC.
Those who started early have benefited a lot in bitcoin investment; there is no doubt about that. That is why it is always advisable for investors to invest instead of procrastinating. It is true there is no latecoming in bitcoin, but the earlier one begins to invest, the more benefit you get from bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is increasing, and you can't compare the investors of so many years to that of the investors of today, but this doesn't mean people should have the mindset that late investors have nothing to benefit from bitcoin investment. For those who are still waiting and thinking of investing, it is better to start now and not miss the opportunity of today.
Investing early in bitcoin has its own pecks and it isn't far from the fact that as at the time an investor invest in btc the price may just be lower than it is ever going to be tomorrow. While someone who has the interest of investing may be exercising patience in learning or trying to understand the market from the theory point of view, another person with just the raw guts and stomach for risk may just happen to delve in at the right moment and make huge profit or loss and then learn from the experience, having out grown the fear to start investing as a newbie investor.
So far, crypto currency  has a promising future to dominate the financial global trade market and in this guise, everyone who comes across an opportunity to invest in it from the internet or from friends who think it might pay off well, should invest first upon asking the right questions and getting a satisfactory answer, before doing further personal research and then coming back to a cold investment front.

As the topic goes, i just want to clarify my understanding about this forum and the post requirements for newbies to become real and contributing members of this forum. I am a newbie as seen and am still thinking that newbies are only expected to make only comments until it gets to a certain quota before they get fully accepted and allowed to create post that are out of curiosity or concern for cryptocurrencies.

Re: Trying to know about bitcoin
by

on 04/07/2025, 10:17:47 UTC

These are good materials for anyone interested to know about Bitcoin but sadly Op has suddenly disappeared. I don't know but I'm not sure if he went through this thread after posting. This is why some people see posts like this as not genuine and not worthy of attention. Numerous threads have discussed about this topic before but none of them (poster) follow up to give us a feedback. Probably, only few of them have genuine interest to learn about bitcoin. Their feedback is a motivation for expert to turn up with suggestions and recommendations always.
With Bitcoin being a major breakthrough in terms of new age money, the information about it is quite available with just a few words being typed into any search engine of ones preference to find vast topics on the subject matter. Bitcoin is the first most successful cryptocurrency out there  and even investing in its use for transactions across borders is almost becoming common and available for many new apps and sites being created nowadays. There is also so many adverts on the behalf of creating awareness for bitcoin online and a click would easily redirect one to have more knowledge about it, how to secure it, how to invest for the future using bitcoin, and also how to keep it safe during and after transactions.
Perhaps our OP has found much more information on the topic of bitcoin and that's why the sudden disappearance  or absenteeism from giving a feedback on how far he has gone in  acquiring the information needed on the  subject of bitcoin which is cryptocurrencies number one and most priced asset as at  now in the world over.

Re: Why all these rubbish?
by

on 02/07/2025, 08:51:24 UTC
They can never be in one side.

As some people are saying bitcoin will rise, some people will say bitcoin will fall.

Do you know what I noticed recently, if bitcoin falls and start to rise back and rise above $106000, you will see them saying bitcoin will get to all time high soon and get to $1200000. Bitcoin fall to $105250 not long ago and I have been seeing bitcoin may fall again.

I hate this kind of speculation.
I am sure that every other person in this forum, myself inclusive, detest persons who are not steady in decision making and can neither be here nor there when it comes to having principles. Same goes for those who don't have a control over their emotions when it comes to investment, mostly as it concerns their opinion about the fluctuating market price at any given time of the day or night.
It is wise as an individual investor with a goal in mind, to ignore what others are saying and always do what one thinks is right according to ones instincts and growing skill base.

Spanish franchise Vanadi Coffee is now ready to execute its bitcoin purchase strategy and cryptocurrency pivot following the approval of this move at a shareholder meeting. The company already holds 54 BTC under the custody of the Spain-based exchange Bit2me.

Backing this move, the company stated:

Vanadi Coffee is committed to blockchain technology as a pillar of the global economic future. Investing in Bitcoin is a long-term commitment to a new decentralized financial model. Vanadi Coffee is diversifying its business into Bitcoin investment and management and other cryptocurrency-related areas.

We often hear fintech companies investing in bitcoin and we find it good news. But now we are seeing all kinds of businesses get into bitcoin as well. If this continues all across the world, they may even accept bitcoin for payment. This could be the key to mass adoption of bitcoin. Which businesses do you think could be the next to invest in bitcoin?

My graphics design business may be the next in line to adopt the acceptance of bitcoin upon a business deal being completed. The only challenge would be that my current country of residence is yet to make it a legal tender and am sure that is a concern for may of us who own small thriving businesses in countries where bitcoin and cryptocurrency has yet to gain the trust of the government as concerning making it a legal tender.

Re: Does trading mean a better life?
by
Omahabit
on 01/07/2025, 22:27:22 UTC
Trading is like investment opportunity or job which you can tribe if you perform better. It’s not bad to be involved on trading per se since it gives us an opportunity to earn big by buying and selling assets which is same on getting profit from job.

For others it means a better life while others experience the opposite. There’s no universal outcome for trading but one thing is for sure that it is a financial tool to help us to grow by using it properly.

Trading works for you based on your knowledge and how you apply it, this is the reason why not everyone can have the same results with it, to some they might have a better life while others might end up losing in a fortune in the market. One thing I can say for sure is that no one can just get a better life kit of trading In the beginning phases, even though there are lots of opportunities to take advantage of you must seek knowledge first
One saying that could help with my opinion of this post and this comment is that, 'one man's meat, is another man's poison'. What i simply could add to spice it all up is that a wise investor knows when to stick to what works and run far from what doesn't work.
I know how to study those who have become wealthy from their investments that turned out to pay more than expected, and that is that, they know what works for them and then channel their energy and resources there until it works out in the end.

People of this country should by now be used to taking investment risk, because as e be so, all die na die o. It is way better to just have strong mind and be praying in tongues that the dip doesn't go any dipper after 24hrs and there should be a very good opportunity to exploit when there is a dip, so as to make some or more profit. Else, unless person doesn't understand cryptocurrency investment, i wonder why people still fear the dip, honestly.

Re: Will cryptocurrency ever be considered an asset for loans in Nigeria?
by
Omahabit
on 01/07/2025, 21:06:48 UTC
Hello friends, do you think Nigerian banks and other related bodies will ever consider categorizing Cryptocurrency as an asset that will make people eligible for loans? I read online that that is a move been considered already by countries like the United States.

https://www.investopedia.com/federal-regulator-opens-doors-to-crypto-in-mortgage-applications-11761381
You cant be comparing the United states of America with this country because the gap between technology and development is huge to begin with. The United states of America can do so with a signature from the president because so far he has been championed the cause and there is even a cryptocurrency reserve bank that ensures that cryptocurrency is there to stay and be readily employed in usage as deemed fit by the current administration.
This country on the other hand may have to trust that the p2p system which is currently what has helped many people believe in crypto currency, doesn't ever fail or that bitcoin which is cryptocurrencies number one, doesn't just crash in price by morning, or at least not soonest.
Also, the government may have to accept it as a legal tender for banks and other fintech banks are allowed to do so openly with incurring the wrath of the powers that be.

Re: Funds dies when sent to inaccessible addresses.
by
Omahabit
on 01/07/2025, 20:50:53 UTC
There are moments we have regular benefactors and those we may have business transactions on a regular basis with who facilitates on executing transactions without informing the other party first and take them unaware while sends the funds probably could be a usual and successful.

But while the receiver was not informed before the sender sends the funds, there are times we ends up sending the funds into one of those abandoned accounts due to insecurity activities in the Wallet address or those inaccessible Wallet addresses due to lost of seed phrases where the funds there are forever be unclaimed due to inaccessibility of the account.
So there is always a need to request for the recipient (s) to either send you their wallet address or ask to confirm if you can send to the usual address you may have transacted with the person.
This is to avoid getting your funds stuck and we know in the Crypto network especially in the non custodian wallet providers once you have lost you seed phrase and lost access to your wallet, you have lost it all forever.

This happened between an uncle and I during my school days who sent money in my dormant back account.
I am motivated to say this today after a friends cousin recently sent him Bitcoin worth of $6K from abroad and hoped was going to be an exciting surprise to him but as it is, the money has become a waste because the guy has already trashed and forgotten that wallet address the fund was sent to.
The recipient should be blamed too because benefactors or regular
business partners are ought to be notified in cases like that because funds can be sent without your notice at anytime.

How necessary do you find this post?
Honestly, I think that when we change our receiving account without informing our business partners or employers about it, it puts ones probability of earning meaningful income at the barest minimum. It is always important to check the availability of our accounts before allowing money to be sent there. In the case where it is supposed to be a surprise, i guess the moral lesson is to ensure that we do whatever is necessary to maintain our accounts and fulfil any requirements that may hinder our further use of the account for receiving funds.
One should also endeavor to refuse using  real details to create a bank receiving account for fraudulent activities because this is how many get stuck and have jumbled account receiving information and find themselves in such a spot as told in this narrative post.

Man, BTC is acting weird lately. Sad It keeps teasing a breakout but nothing solid yet. Kinda feels like the calm before something big. Anyone else getting that gut feeling? huh. Embarrassed
New here?  This happens all the time.  And when all people lose hope, it finally starts showing signs of life.  You need to calm yourself, it is another asset and it does not GUARANTEE that it will make it like it used to every single time.  In fact, it does not even guarantee success at all and no asset is really going to be sky rocketing forever.
Well, you were straight to the point by stating the obvious fact and that is the potential of Btc failing just as any other altcoins may at any given time. The only thing that is guaranteed is ones investment and the duration of profit taking, else, why does one bother to invest if the risk isn't worth it.

Re: Scam Warning: USDT Phishing via SMS Receive Sites
by
Omahabit
on 28/06/2025, 13:16:04 UTC
Hello everyone,

I wanted to create this topic because a friend asked me about the legitimacy of something he came across. This friend usually uses websites that provide virtual phone numbers which can be used to receive text messages, and these messages are usually visible to everyone. He encountered this first message, which everyone who used this virtual number would see,, stating that a large amount of USDT had been withdrawn through one of the websites. The visitor also sees login credentials for the account.

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/06/24/UujInD.png

Now, everyone should be cautious: this is a phishing message that was intentionally sent to this virtual number to lure users into visiting a phishing website that impersonates the well-known platform OKX.

From this situation, we must learn the following:

1. Do not use websites that offer virtual numbers and receive temporary SMS services to confirm personal and important accounts.. Always create emails through trusted and official email providers.

2. Never open random websites you come across, whether on receive-SMS platforms or any other sites,, as many phishing sites impersonate famous platforms. You should always do the necessary research, bookmark only official links, and stick to using them.
Its quite funny how scammers never relent in their effort to do ill to any victim who isn't vigilant enough to read twice any re-read any suspicious links or respond to suspicious messages before falling victims to their ploy.
The reality of some of these scammers facing the wrath of the law if being caught isn't a scare anymore and that why i take it personally upon myself to increase my knowledge of their new schemes by reading such posts anywhere i find them and also keep track of any of my financial portfolio inorder not to fall prey to such false and misleading messages from anyone of suspicious looking numbers.

Thanks for this enlightening post and i must very well remind myself often and on, that using a short cut to help my situation may be detrimental as such is the case of using virtual numbers that have no strong root and origin because these scammers seem to get wet from using free access to these inferior sites because they either created them and it isn't under any regulations or control from the government.

Re: Nigeria leading Africa in the adoption of bitcoin
by
Omahabit
on 27/06/2025, 12:24:40 UTC
Greetings to all my fellow Nigerians I brought this topic for all of us to add our perspective on why you think Nigeria is leading the adoption of bitcoin in Africa .

in the year 2020, the term( Bitcoin) became more  popular in Nigeria after our Naira currency devalued, which made  many Nigerians to explore Bitcoin as a potentially  store of value and it iscertain that every since many Nigeria Bitcoiner has evolved over time in suggesting a cautious embrace of the technology.

With the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) stop financial institutions from dealing in crypto then not too soon a shift occurred in May 2023 when a 10% tax on cryptocurrency sales signalled recognition of the sector. That same month, a national blockchain policy was introduced and was aiming to foster a blockchain-powered economy.but it didn't end there, more progress came in January 2024 when the CBN released guidelines that allowed  banks to service crypto firms (though not directly hold or trade crypto themselves) even in the  earlier restrictions crypto transactions in Nigeria still  demonstrated a thriving peer-to-peer market.

As years past there is no doubt that Nigeria will definitely continue to adopt bitcoin , (cryptocurrency) due to our economy, youths are all looking for was to be self employed because it is certain that to find a good job in our country is very hard .

The factor that is bringing adoption in Niger Nigeria .
 High Inflation and Currency Devaluation:
Our country currency for years now has experienced significant devaluation  that is making it less reliable for storing and transferring value,  This have made many of our Nigerian people to explore ,bitcoin  as a store of value and a means of preserving their wealth.

Youth Population and Tech Savvy:
It is certain that we  Nigerias has a large youth population with a high rate and asses to mobile phone and we also have an incredible  interest in technology, Which makes it easier for more adopt in new technologies, including cryptocurrencies (bitcoin).

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Trading:
P2P have become popular in Nigeria over the years  for cryptocurrency trading, and also for smaller transactions.
it is certain that the economic climate in our country  Nigeria and also with all the challenges we are going through has definitely  encouraged many nigerians to seek financial alternatives, boosting the appeal of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency .

There is no doubt that with time many more and more Nigerians will start having interest in investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency leading to more adoption of bitcoin .  because right now many of our nigeria bitcoin investor are definitely viewing bitcoin as the future of money in our country  .
so I will like to hear your comment on this topic

For me, i think the only way this country would out-perform other African countries in relation to bitcoin and general cryptocurrencies adoption and use, would be to create a bitcoin/cryptocurrencies reserve. Then, its position as a powerful nation among other countries within Africa and beyond and a business/investment savvy nation will be stamped fully and of course there would be no need for comparison to other African countries as if the adoption of cryptocurrency is a contest.

Re: Why a source of income is very important before investing in Bitcoin
by
Omahabit
on 27/06/2025, 12:16:35 UTC
All this requires a source of income before you can see the benefits of it, but if you don't have one, you will always see the negative side of it without seeing the positive side, because you don't have enough money to build yourself up to increase your experience towards it.
Priority differs and depending on different Investors, what's the priority of one might not be the priority of another depending on the different individuals financial status.

If you don't have a source of income, there's no possibility that you can even consider investing in the first place. You have to first have a source income, earn up to a given amount already then you can talk about investing which is more like a means of diversification of the income you've already built over time. Trying to invest without a single stream of income is just like going for a Z even when you don't have anything at the foundation level.

Even an average salary earner in Nigeria that has a steam of income that's just enough to meet his needs can't boost of investing in bitcoin because from a realistic point of view, our currency places us at a disadvantage where investing is going to be tough if you're not earning a really strong income.

The importance of having a source of income before thinking of going all into bitcoin investment cannot be overemphasized because money is the only factor that bring ones wealthy dreams to live. However, i think we should help out with additional ways to help those that don't have a good source of income or have any at all, to earn from the sacrifice of their time to learn the process and then their resources in the long run.

Re: Bitcoin Survives the War Scare
by
Omahabit
on 27/06/2025, 11:59:10 UTC
What’s happening right now doesn’t really affect Bitcoin. I’ve seen a few threads saying the current war between Iran and Israel, plus US intervention, could cause the market to collapse. And yeah, it kinda looked like it was going that way when Bitcoin dropped below $100k.

But look what happened -- it bounced back and is now trading at $105k. That just proves there’s nothing to worry about. Bitcoin can stand through tough times, and in fact, it’s something you can actually trust with your investment.
Many thought that the price of Bitcoin would fall a lot in the Iran-Israel war, but this war did not have much impact on the crypto market. However, after the United States attacked Iran's nuclear facilities, the price of Bitcoin fell quite a bit, but it quickly recovered. Since Bitcoin is unstable, it is normal for Bitcoin prices to go up and down. Now if you are investing in Bitcoin then there is no reason to worry, because the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise with time, now even though the price of Bitcoin falls a bit then it recovers quickly. But you may be worried about altcoins, because recovery is difficult if the price of altcoins falls. So if you are investing in Bitcoin then move forward with faith in Bitcoin.
I used to encourage one of my close friends that an investment in bitcoin for the long term as asset acquisition is very much profitable that even buying landed properties currently due to reasons of anonymity of wealth ownership mostly when one finds himself always in the company of greedy people, be it family members or close friends and associates. Also, because of the almost common breakout of crisis that could result into waring factions being brutal to each other all over the world and even within our locality, it has become imperative for any smart person with money to invest for the future, to acquire bitcoin for ease of access when one has got to quickly relocate to another place to save themselves from sudden breakout of crisis and other emergencies that may require quick wits and financial response to counteract.

The sudden price surge or drop in price is already part of the game or should i say the system of how the cryptocurrency market functions and any smart investor should learn to use this to their favor because whether we like to accept it or not, cryptocurrency is the new currency of the future that rhymes with emerging technologies and anyone not on its track will find it much more difficult later on when they intend to adopt new technologies or move to a new environment where it is widely accepted, use and a part of mandatory financial knowledge.
