CAn anyone please once again explain the strategy of tax-loss harvesting to me?
so the first step is to determine capital gains or losses for each position in your portfolio by subtracting the current price from the cost. take into account all your crypto holdings - not only those that are in the same wallet or on the same exchange. use the FIFO method. it minimizes the risk of short-term capital gains. In particular, you first sell the oldest positions, which means that you are more likely to receive long-term capital gains. maybe speak with your accountant to learn more about it. and last step is selling the position at a loss, and optionally, repurchasing the position to maintain the portfolio’s asset allocation.
thank you! that was helpful!

I partially agree with all of what you have said, I will not dissemble. I am not an ardent advocater of the first cryptocurrency, but also not an adversary.

Now the share of Bitcoin is about 2/3 of all cryptocurrencies. This means that every 3rd million people store in another cryptocurrency.

You are all wrong, the main bitcoin problem is low transactional speed.
you know there are many fast blockchains that transmit money quickly. If you can withdraw small amounts within a shorter period of  time with a small commission through another crypto, then why use bitcoin for larger amounts, paying a larger commission, and still have to wait half an hour?

the strength of the first cryptocurrency is determined by the impossibility of its control
the government cannot control Bitcoin, and this is good because people do not trust the authorities and  banks, whose actions really resemble the Ponzi scheme

Bitcoin has “no chance” of becoming a reliable currency in the future. Its too difficult to use, too easy to crack, too easy to lose, very difficult to understand and value. there are many altcoins, which creates additional difficulties for people to know why Bitcoin is better than the rest
agree. The popularity of Bitcoin is falling, therefore, it will no longer rise in price. its like the Ponzi scheme.

there is a risk that the collapse in the digital asset market may recur. This is likely to happen if the S&P 500 index does not overcome the indicated resistance and returns to a fall, as experts predict.
If you do not take into account the stock market, what else affects bitcoin price?
bitcoin could go down to $ 6,200 without the influence of the stock market if the exchange rate fails to gain a foothold above the resistance level of $ 6900. Then the price will begin to fall.
it is necessary that it rises above the upper of the Bollinger Bands
financial pyramids also hinder the growth of the Bitcoin exchange rate

I think you can find the most accurate tax solution on the market that provides a complete tax reporting services without the need for additional CPAs. They cost a lot. and if you have a good tool to help then why hire CPA?

The cryptocurrency tax reporting tool ZenLedger is supported by a team of CPAs, tax attorneys and software developers. really impressive!
what does this CPA feature include? they provide the service as CPAs provide?
you can invite your CPA to your account, download all you transactions and have the CPA help you with them.
so ZenLedger has CPAs on board. for instance if i don’t have one they can provide me one?
if this I’m not sure. you should check their site for this. https://zenledger.io/

I recently joined ZenLedger and I must say that I like it big time. The process of creating an account is very fast, which literally takes a few seconds. there are many exchanges supported (Binance, Bittrex, Coinbase,, Gemini, Kraken and Poloniex). Support 24/7, reasonable prices and the best tax calculator  - TurboTax. Its like all in one!
yes, the platform is not so difficult to figure out. The design is simple and makes it easy even for beginners to understand what to click on with an intuitive hint.
Unlike some other crypto tax service sites, the design of ZenLedger is intuitive! Even a person who has no idea what their site is will surely find out about it within a few minutes when he visits the site. It should also be noted that their site does not have problems with delays, so the transitions on each tab also do not require much effort.

hey guys! can anyone explain what’s the deal with those irs letters? theyre like really bad news…
according to an IRS press release, the regulator sent out letters to taxpayers who did not register cryptocurrency transactions, thus notifying them of the need to report capital gains for previous tax years.
everyone who has something to do with crypto now has to pay taxes. miners, traders, exchanges. Literally everyone.
Well, this applies only to American exchanges and only traders who are citizens of America. Although those exchanges have large volumes, the whole world trades there.

I just hope that our country will succeed and regulation will be aimed at the development of the crypto, and not vice versa.

In fact, the regulation of cryptocurrencies, exchanges and all that is connected with this is the inevitable development of the situation and everything goes to this.

on the contrary, I would like to pay tax. After all, this is an opportunity to work legally. I don’t see anything wrong with the IRS guide.
I agree. as elsewhere, in the cryptocurrency sphere, civilization and structure are important, and this is possible only after the cryptosphere is fully legalized.
Well, depending on the tax.
I think it will be better. everything will be handled legally and no one can quibble.
