Is it official / certain that Bittrex will not participate in the airdrop?

In stellar giveaway page nothing wrote about Bittrex yet only 3 days left. So chances are really very low.

It will be good if Bittrex participate but till now nothing from there.

i think bittrex will not on the list of exchange for this giveaway
why not you try to move your bitcoin to poloniex if you want join the giveaway

Not happy with Poloniex security. Someone login my account there. I was lucky I did not had any btc there.

Seems it's on you without any 2FA...

What I suspect will happen is that we'll eventually get a block larger than 1 MB in the blockchain and Core will adapt their codebase to permit its users track the most-work chain.  In other words, there will likely be no split--just an anticlimactic network upgrade to larger blocks.  In such a case, who wins the bet?  Or is the bet only valid in the case where there is a persistent split?

Maybe spend more time fixing your client that's buggy as hell.

No one wants your trash.

Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ?

Depends. I use all kinds. Mostly Breadwallet and sometimes Coinbase for small amounts if I still have any left after buying. Breadwallet is nice since I can have an instant backup with the phrase in case I lose my phone. Pretty sure I'd be entirely locked out of coinbase for a while if I lost my phone. I'd use my computer, but I'm honestly to afraid I'd have some sort of malware on it. I should look into using a multisig wallet.

Re: FluxBitcoin Monitor for Sony Smartwatch 2
by

on 18/01/2015, 05:40:22 UTC
Today I made a Bitcoin monitor app for the Sony Smartwatch 2. That's probably as niche as it can get with 0.01% having bitcoin and 0.0001% having that Smartwatch but I'd like to share it anyway with you.
I bought a Pebble and a Sony Smartwatch 2 for other projects and noticed that since then I'm only pulling out my phone to check the bitcoin price action, so I made that little app and guess it's quite ok for a one day project with market release (at this moment not yet listed in my market apps. Might take some hours.), video and bitbucket repo. Yes, it's open source, so if you don't like it, send me a pull request and I will happily improve it. Also if you happen to have a Smartwatch 1 (how many people do at all?) or some of the other Sony gadgets, maybe it would fit in there, too.
Sweet also happens to be the watch my brother just bought! Smiley

If all stores in the Casino group started accepting BTC that might be the biggest adoption of all time. International reach too.
They'd probably only do it for the website, or does it specifically say all the retail stores too?

Re: To be or not to be - the clock is ticking for standardisation of base unit

Satoshi is the base unit in the code. In real life use, I'd use bits but that doesn't mean you need to change anything in the client other than what it displays the balance as. Preferably I'd have it set to bits (100 satoshis)

Re: What wallet do you use for your Bitcoin?

Breadwallet on iOS. Pretty sleak and easy. HD too. The rest of my coins I keep temporarily on circle/coinbase or on paperwallets. I don't really use other wallets. I've tried a few.

Re: Are girls using Bitcoins?
by
Onetallnerd

IRL I don't know any other guy or girl that uses it. Although, I got a couple of my friends that were girls interested in it and a few of them own more than $15 worth. Not active users, though.

Active in holding?  Grin I always ask if they're gonna spend it and they always say they'd rather hold it and wait to see if it goes up in price.

Around 5 all being BIP-38 password-encrypted wallets. :-) I also have them on a couple of spare USBs that have never been connected to an internet enabled device.
