Hi everybody.

So, its been really quiet these few months. With seemingly some other projects like ETH, LISK, Augur, Slock.it taking some of the limelight. Infact, one of our original developers has decided to commit his time to working directly with ETH. So, as it stands right now, we're still aiming to do exactly the same, it will just take a little more time.  In the mean time we're also looking for members to join our team to make the process a little faster.

Thanks for being patient to all that invested into us. I will make sure to keep everyone up to date with whatever happens.

This is not the first time that I have seen Banksy's work being vandalized at all, in fact I do recall a few of his works being vandalized in london with someone leaving some signature that said "Robbo". I think there was some war between him and Banksy

BTC price fluctuates too much and well although it is at least somewhat possible within 10 or so years, I do not think that it will stabilize at all

Re: Is it helpful or harmful to the Bitcoin to offer products/services only in BTC?
by
Operand
on 17/10/2015, 23:03:41 UTC
It is highly dependent on the nature of the product/service; some way believe it is a far more convenient method of paying for normal goods although with the negative publicity of bitcoin with services like slik road etc. it only embeds fear into the unsuspecting public mind

I have, with a xapo card to purchase groceries for myself one time when I had no cash on myself. I just like how it is easier to manage and keep track of your money as transactions that happen would be displayed on the accompanying app on my android phone almost instantly.

easily can be done with the faucets that are available out there, can just probably blaze out faucets with a payout rate of every 15-mins to an hour and be guaranteed 10,000 sats in the matter of 2 hours or so

Despite all these "dark" services and products that can be purchased with BTC that culminates in a supposed negative reputation, it shouldn't really overshadow its positive values; think about how much the field of cryptocurrency has evolved throughout its short history and the lives it has changed, its almost like a financial revolution. It's reputation has grown to the point where even a university in the UK has opened up an institute dedicated for crytocurrency too.

Money remittance is where we should focus on. I think this is an area where bitcoin has the advantage but we never fully utilize or capitalize on it. Imagine having the fund reached the other party almost instantly and with the low fee. For an annual 50 billion market worth, half of that amount would easily change everything.

Totally agreeable, this is a big benefit to especially migrant workers from abroad who often send money several times within one year; a lot of services available charge up to typically 10% or so of the transferred amount as commission. There have been cases in which people have been misled to trust organizations that either overcharge or just have their money taken away. I think this is something that they can trust highly knowing that their money can safely and quickly reach their families.

Women don't need special treatment or any segregated affirmative action policy. Gender really doesn't matter that much online, they can and will use Bitcoin just fine.

Question is: can we actually accurately map out gender demographics if bitcoin has such an anonymous, decentralized nature?

Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream
by
Operand
on 14/10/2015, 03:58:59 UTC
Bitcoin will go mainstream surely as the change has already begun. We can not just see the speed of change it is much more faster than we imagine. It is inevitable now as lot of the water has flown under the bridges.Governments as well as bankers are failed to stop Bitcoin in last couple of years.A totally new era of financial freedom and privacy is to come soon.

Totally agreeable although there is nobody stopping anybody from scare mongering with the kind of dark services that can be purchased with BTC. Despite this, I do think that BTC could potentially go mainstream but this is ultimately dependent on the faith of the general public in it. Personally I feel like not enough people are aware of this financial freedom that can be easily achieved.

Re: Bitcoin or gold?
by

Hmmmm I would like to say gold for the safety of having some fiat in physical form as with BTC it is easy to gain as it is easy to lose however, with the volatility in recent times the rewards are just as great as its risks. It takes a calm, calculated individual to really take advantage of the markets
