ccminer v2.4.0 Release

ccminer is an open-source cryptocurrency mining software for NVIDIA GPUs using CUDA.
The tpruvot fork became the most widely used version, but its last official update was in 2019.
Since then, development has stalled, leaving it outdated for modern hardware and operating systems.

This release, v2.4.0, brings ccminer up to date.

Changes in v2.4.0 (Feb 7, 2025):

✔️ Updated compatibility with Ubuntu 24.04 & Visual Studio 2022
✔️ Added support for the Argon2d1000 algorithm
✔️ Built with CUDA 12.8 for improved performance
✔️ Updated NVCC architecture list to support modern GPUs, including Hopper, Ada, and Ampere

This update ensures that ccminer remains functional and optimized for modern mining hardware.

Hello JayDDee,

0-Dyn | Cash has been added to the pool: LetsHash.it.
Instead of the non-conventional term Dynodes for Masternodes, I have reverted it back to Masternodes with Cash.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll remove all references to DYN in cpuminer-opt.

As far as supporting argon2d-1000, I'm undecided. If it's only a matter of changing the mcost it should
be simple. But there isn't much happening with argon2d anywhere at this time.
If I see it pop up in a pool I'l take a look.

It should be just a change from 500 to 1000, the coin uses a different port obviously from i.e. 33300/33350 to 44400/44450.
Currently the coins is traded on: https://app.exbitron.com/exchange/?market=0DYNC-USDT
We are working on a pool with Exbitron.

Hello JayDDee,

I wanted to inform you that Duality Blockchain Solutions with its Dynamic (DYN) has been abandoned. Dynamic was using the argon2d_dyn algo (m_cost 500).
Instead, I am relaunching the project as "Zero Dynamics" with the Cash (0DYNC) coin, which is traded on the Exbitron exchange. The 0-DYN | Cash addition could be pretty straight forward; it is using the same argon2d algo but with m_cost = 1000.

Dear Zero-Dynamics community,

As of January 5, 2025, the Zero Dynamics Cash coin officially launched for trading on the Exbitron market with pairings in USDT and BTC. Traders should note that approximately 4.8million coins are currently in circulation. The opening trade price of USDT 0.1 reflects an ambitious benchmark; however, the current price of around USDT 0.005 may better align with the market's initial expectations. Invest and trade with enthusiasm, but remain mindful of the inherent risks.

2024 has been a transformative year! Over the holiday season of 2023/2024, I returned to engage with the Duality community on Discord. This reconnection was not without its challenges—having been banned from the server years earlier, I had to use my father's account to gain access and rejoin the conversation. The project was, by then, on its deathbed, struggling to hold together. Reflecting on the fun and progress we shared between 2014 and 2018, the year I was forced to leave the project, I knew Duality had drifted off course but I never lost hope of steering it back.

In 2024, I embarked on my journey (again) after having failed to do so in 2019—perhaps because Duality was still too strong and its community too loyal to forsake its team. I started with quick results early last year, and very soon, I had a chain running that looked quite promising. What I didn’t realize at the time was that a minor oversight in the code, stemming from Duality’s experiment with hybridizing Dynamic into a Proof-of-Stake/Proof-of-Work blockchain, had been silently wreaking havoc since v2.5.0.0, introduced around mid-2020.

This subtle bug, absent in earlier versions like v2.4.4.2, led to unpredictable block rejections, network disconnections, miner crashes, and block explorer disruptions. The issue had been hiding in plain sight, overlooked for years, only becoming glaringly obvious when examined closely at the end of December 2024. Ironically, it was only during the recent onboarding process to Exbitron that this specific issue came to light. Spotting the root cause while communicating with the exchange operator allowed me to squash the bug, and it has been resolved in Cash v1.1.3.0!

Starting with the initial version I had last April, I experimented with the difficulty retargeting protocol and memory cost for GPU mining. Unfortunately, this took more time than I had hoped, especially since my father passed away around that time, and I had to fulfill family duties leading into the summer. After the summer, I decided it was better to stop experimenting and proceed with more conservative numbers to avoid being stuck. However, lingering issues from Duality’s Proof-of-Stake experiments remained, manifesting in sporadic block rejections, network instability, and miner crashes.

Mining chart:Illustrated the blocktime coefficients with target = 1, and difficulty over time.

Even now, there may still be some bugs in the code, but these are challenges we will tackle together as we continue our journey.  I am confident that the current 0-DYN Cash blockchain is stable enough to enter the markets. While we might face some initial network volatility—stemming from price fluctuations and leading to network hashrate variations and therefore variations in block times—these are natural growing pains for the Zero Dynamics Cash project. As we expand and attract more users, we will see increasing stability in prices, hashrates, and block spacing. Together, we will build a resilient and robust blockchain ecosystem.

2025 will be a defining year for Zero Dynamics—one of proving and rebuilding. We aim to demonstrate that we can not only establish a vibrant market but also revitalize our community stronger than ever. This year will also mark the highly anticipated relaunch of Sequence as 0-DYN Stock, an integral component of the Zero Dynamics ecosystem. While the exact date remains to be determined, rest assured, it is coming! Stock will play a pivotal role in the project's future, providing new opportunities and expanding the utility of our dual blockchain system.

If you still hold Sequence, please ensure you keep your records safe! Your patience and preparation will be rewarded as we bring this next phase to life.

  • Firstly, my late father, MMWOPS: He always encouraged me to keep the project in mind and continue it in due time. My father witnessed its early steps and progress, but, sadly, he could not be here to see its resurgence. His guidance and belief in me remain a driving force, and his absence is deeply felt. He will be missed.
  • Secondly, @Egner: Since 2019, Egner has been a steadfast supporter, providing VPS resources crucial for hosting and compiling client software. Though now taking a more background role, his contributions have been essential to our progress. Thank you, Egner!
  • Thirdly, @George: A trusted friend and ally, George has been instrumental in assisting with financial matters. His unwavering support gives me confidence that we have the foundation to succeed. Thank you, George!
  • Fourthly, @Yuncode: With Egner being more unavailable, Yuncode coincidentally stepped up to manage the essential explorers, ensuring the project's technical backbone remained intact. His readiness to tackle even more complex developer tasks, if needed, demonstrates his dedication and expertise. While I felt the initial steps should remain my responsibility, I deeply appreciate his enthusiasm, initiative, and unwavering support. Thank you, Yuncode!
  • Fifthly, @jareso: jareso has been pivotal in negotiating the onboarding process with the Exbitron exchange. His dedication ensured that Zero Dynamics Cash secured its place, marking a significant milestone for our project. Thank you, jareso!
  • Next, @bashenan: bashenan showed great initiative by setting up a mining pool for the community. Although client instability led to its temporary closure, I am confident he will resume this valuable effort when time allows. Thank you, bashenan!
  • And lastly, @andrew2k: As the developer of Alterdot, andrew2k has been a valuable technical sounding board throughout the years. I look forward to continuing our collaboration and mutual growth. Thank you, andrew2k!

Over the years, I have talked to many of you, and all of you have been worthy of my attention. With some, I go back as far as 2014 or 2015. If I were to name everyone, the list would be lengthy. What’s important to consider is that I cannot do this without you, the community!

In 2014, the Silkcoin project started gaining momentum as a community effort. Ever since the Duality team took over, the project became increasingly centralized. Now, it’s time to return to our roots—giving the community the space to participate actively and collaboratively. Together, we can build a brighter, livelier ecosystem than ever before. We’ll achieve this by engaging more frequently, sharing ideas, and pooling our skills and resources. Discord is the perfect platform to facilitate such activity, but it’s up to us to share our goals and plans so others can step in and help.

As we move forward, let us unite in purpose and ambition, each contributing to the success of Zero Dynamics in our own way.

Let’s continue our march!

PS.:
Now if you own any of the following coins, I would suggest you join our Discord server. It will be worth your stay!
Duality's Dynamic (DYN) & Sequence (SEQ),
Alterdot's Alterdot (ADOT).

0-Dyn | Cash is a Dynamic(DYN) fork based on Dash. It has the Argon2d mining algorithm Masternode combination (here branded as servicenodes).

Miners can download the client software to start CPU mining.
Or if they want to mine using their NVidia GPU on their client, they can build from source using:

git clone https://github.com/zero-dynamics/cash-core
./autogen.sh
./configure --enable-gpu --enable-cuda
make
sudo make install

Make sure that all the necessary dependencies are installed.

Windows users can also mine using their GPU but they will have to set up WSL on Windows.

Once WSL is installed you can use the following commands:

In the Ubuntu terminal in Windows:
Code:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Zero-Dynamics/installationtools/refs/heads/master/adduser_and_xrdp_setup.sh
Code:
chmod +x adduser_and_xrdp_setup.sh && \
sudo ./adduser_and_xrdp_setup.sh

Now, open Remote Desktop on your Windows host machine, connect to localhost:3390, and log in with:
username: usr
password: pwd

To install NVIDIA CUDA 12.6 for WSL2 on Windows 11, in the Ubuntu desktop environment go to
Application > System > Xfce Terminal,

then run the following command:
Code:
wget raw.githubusercontent.com/Zero-Dynamics/installationtools/refs/heads/master/install_wsl_cuda.sh
Code:
chmod +x install_wsl_cuda.sh && \
./install_wsl_cuda.sh

The client can be installed using that same terminal by running:
Code:
wget raw.githubusercontent.com/Zero-Dynamics/installationtools/refs/heads/master/install_cash_with_shortcut.sh
Code:
chmod +x install_cash_with_shortcut.sh && \
./install_cash_with_shortcut.sh

A shortcut will be created on the desktop to start the client software, be sure to mark it as an executable after running the desktop shortcut, alternatively you can use the terminal, and run the following command:
Code:
chmod +x ./cash-core/src/qt/cash-qt && \
./cash-core/src/qt/cash-qt

If the client has trouble finding peers you can add them manually in the Console tab of the Tools window, run the following lines consecutively until the client connects:
Code:
addnode 178.21.79.32 onetry
addnode 178.21.79.33 onetry
addnode 178.21.79.34 onetry
addnode 178.21.79.35 onetry
addnode 178.21.79.36 onetry

After the wallet has finished the synchronization process you can start mining using the GPU tab in the Mining page. Good luck!

The Camel Marches On …
Tracing its roots back to an obscure crypto project called Silkcoin (SC) — 2014,
after a community takeover it was rebranded into Silk (SLK) only a few months after,
Silk evolved into a privately owned SilkNetwork company having two coins Silk (SLK) and DarkSilk (DSLK) in 2015. SilkNetwork’s aim was to introduce the concept of resonance into the crypto space.
SilkNetork was succeeded by Duality International in 2017. The coins DarkSilk and Silk were rebranded into Dynamic (DYN) and Sequence (SEQ). 2017 was a tumultuous year, it even saw the birth of a spin-off project called Credits (CRDS), later to be rebranded as Bitcreds (BCRS) and finally Alterdot (ADOT) 2017— 2024.
With the dissolvement of the Duality Soltions company in 2024, and the abandonment of Alterdot — 2024, the Zero Dynamics project was started. It’s first main objective is to gather as many bagholders as possible, and to step into a bright, new, truely community driven future.

So if you hold any of these coins, make sure to join our Discord chat server!

Alterdot (ADOT) is a promising blockchain platform and "secret coin" for mining
June 22, 2022 / No comments

https://www.cryptoprofi.info/?p=12082

Alterdot is a domain name system IPFS content registration service using its own open source blockchain (blockchain DNS).

For its practical use, users can install a special browser extension:

ADOT is a cryptocurrency designed to pay for the services of the Alterdot platform, as well as a regular digital payment instrument.

Cryptocurrency ADOT is traded on exchanges:

  • exbitron (paired with USDT and BTC);
  • cratex (for BTC, LTC and DOGE);

at a price of 6-7 dollars per thousand coins (06/22/2022):

The coin has recently appeared on the exchange, the trading volume is too small, so it is too early to judge the real ADOT price and capitalization.

For everyday use of ADOT coins, you can use the client wallet, which can be downloaded from the project website or on Github:

The distribution of ADOT across wallets is quite fair (“whales” own 37% of all coins, while less than 8% of the total amount of ADOT is stored on the Development Fund and Dev Fund Hot wallets):

What are the features of the Alterdot (ADOT) cryptocurrency?

Alterdot is characterized by the following technical features:

  • Alterdot is a fork of DASH. The blockchain runs on a hybrid PoS + PoW consensus algorithm with argon2d-16000 hashing (a variant of argon2d Dynamic cryptocurrency for CPU + GPU);
  • until 01/30/2021, the Alterdot blockchain used the argon2d250 algorithm;
  • target time between blocks - 128 seconds until block 1 million, then - 360 seconds (240 blocks / day);
  • from block 1,034,000 mining difficulty is refined using the LWMA algorithm;
  • the reward for the block found starting from 2022 is equal to 10 ADOT coins, of which: 4 for miners and masternode owners, 2 for the development fund. Annual inflation with this amount of remuneration is less than 5%;
  • on the network, it is possible to use privacy technologies and accelerated (up to 2 seconds) transactions (Mixing and InstantSend);
  • the minimum cost of a transaction in the Alterdot network is 0.0001 ADOT;
  • running a masternode requires at least 10,000 ADOT coins.

Who created and promotes the Alterdot cryptocurrency?

The development of the Alterdot project is carried out by an anonymous group of developers ( Github ):

There was no ICO to promote the project, all funds are collected by allocating part of the coins generated during the generation of blocks to the development fund.

How to mine Alterdot (ADOT) cryptocurrency?

You can mine ADOT coins on the argon2d-16000 (argon2d-bcrs) algorithm:

  • on AMD CPU/GPU using srbminer-multi 0.8.8+ (fee 0.85%);
  • on the processor - in the cpuminer-opt-kudaraidee program (an open source program);
  • on Nvidia graphics cards - a.multiminer (open source program).
For mining on the argon2d-16000 algorithm, the video card must have at least 4 GB of memory.

You can choose a pool for mining Alterdot (ADOT) on miningpoolstats:

An example batch file for running Alterdot (ADOT) GPU mining on the zergpool pool with automatic conversion of mined coins to LTC and a 40% discount code for the pool fee:

Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI --algorithm argon2d_16000 --pool argon2d16000.mine.zergpool.com:4242 --wallet wallet --password c=LTC,worker,refcode=81de238596774683dd427a9d57bae6af --gpu-target-temperature 65 --gpu-off-temperature 73 --gpu-target-fan-speed 65 --api-enable --api-port 42000 --api-rig 35 --gpu-id 0!1! --gpu-boost 3 --gpu-auto-tune 2 --disable-cpu

Mining Alterdot (ADOT) on AMD Radeon R9 290/290X GPU:

Mining Alterdot (ADOT) on AMD Radeon RX464 and RX584, settings for etchash:

ADOT mining start script in a.multiminer program:
Code:
a.multiminer -a argon2d16000 -o stratum+tcp:// argon2d16000.mine.zergpool.com:4242 -u wallet -pc=LTC,worker,refcode=81de238596774683dd427a9d57bae6af --use-gpu=CUDA -t=1 --gpu -batchsize=480

Hashrate of some video cards when mining on the argon2d_16000 algorithm, H/s:

  • AMD Radeon R9 290/290X - 1050-1150 (srbminer-multi 0.9.4);
  • AMD Radeon RX464 - 1600-1650 (srbminer-multi 0.9.7);
  • AMD Radeon RX584 - 2600-2750 (srbminer-multi 0.9.7);
  • AMD Radeon RX6700XT - 9300-9400;
  • AMD Radeon RX6800XT - 12700-12800;
  • AMD Radeon RX6900XT - 13700-13800.

Batch file for running Alterdot (ADOT) mining on the CPU:

Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI --disable-gpu --algorithm argon2d_16000 --pool argon2d16000.mine.zergpool.com:4242 --wallet wallet --password c=LTC, worker ,refcode=81de238596774683dd427a9d57bae6af --cpu-threads 3 --cpu- threads-intensity 1 --msr-use-tweaks 0

Mining Alterdot (ADOT) on a CPU on an Intel Core i5-4670 3.40GHz processor (xubuntu 16.04, 3 threads, hashrate 330 H/s):

On four threads, the Intel I5-4670 processor produces 380-390 H / s. Other processors on four threads produce the following hashrate:

  • Intel i7-8700K 3.70GHz - 580;
  • Intel i7-7700 3.60GHz - 520;
  • engineering Intel I7-6400T (QHQG) 2.20GHz - 350;
  • engineering Intel I5-6400T (SR2L1) 2.20GHz - 330;
  • Intel i5-4590 3.30GHz - 390;
  • Intel i5-4570R CPU 2.70GHz -460;
  • Intel i5-7400 3.00GHz - 370;
  • Intel i5-3570K 3.40GHz - 330;
  • Intel Celeron G1840 2.80GHz - 70 (1 stream);
  • AMD Ryzen 3 3100 - 590.

You can calculate the approximate income from mining Alterdot coins (ADOT) using the calculator on miningpoolstats or on minerstat:

At the time of writing, the calculator was showing "cosmic income" due to the incorrect setting of the reward for the found block. More accurately, income can be calculated manually, guided by information from the zergpool pool (Current Estimate).

As of 06/22/2022, ADOT mining yields 0.0276 mBTC (0.55 USD) per 1 KH/s (dirty, excluding electricity price), which is not too bad, especially for CPU mining.

Conclusion

Alterdot (ADOT) is new to the world of cryptocurrencies. While she can not boast of a large number of users. Due to its insufficient use as a means of payment and a means of exchange trading, the coin is subject to strong volatility. This allows you to earn or lose funds in the speculative trading of ADOT coins.

The ADOT coin is of particular interest to the mining community in terms of novelty and low gluttony of the algorithm, as well as (still) low mining difficulty.

If the domain name system linked to the Alterdot blockchain gains popularity, the ADOT cryptocurrency will open up new horizons…

What particular use cases in the market are you going to explore this time? What do you think will be your main business to focus with so as to ensure that this platform will not gonna die? Most alts are dying because they can't venture a specific use case successfully. If you can get at least one strong use case in the market, I believe you can survive a lil bit long than others.

I understand your concerns/curiosity when it comes to tackling these real world (existential) problems, but do not forget that projects start out from passion. Andrew2k has been with BCRS from the start but he was never in a leadership role making executive decisions, the project has been adrift from the start.

Now that Andrew2k has stepped up we can expect developments with a sense of direction, this is not to say that this project will be a success but it does say that time and effort will be spent. The onus is on him including the entrepreneurial risk that comes with the job. Let's give it some time and see where he leads it.  Grin

I love the wallet. It looks clean and well made. The inbuilt miner is a great addition.

I am a little bummed by the mining reward though. 0.026 0AC Considering that you are offering an airdrop for CRDS (whose current block reward is 6 CRDS), I would rather mine CRDS now and get even 1 block in a day (potential 6 0AC) as compared to getting even 100 blocks a day giving me only 2.6 0AC. Any reason why the reward is so small?

Thank you for the compliments, credit for the inbuilt miner goes to Duality Blockchain Solutions. Rewards are purposefully low but are bound to incease substantially over time, as the ServiceNode network matures so will their and the miner's total payouts. You are correct that at this time it is more profitable to mine CRDS however CRDS inflation is high while Ankh overal inflation is low. We are very conscious of the effects of inflation as a cost.

Hi, by holding the airdrop as above does that mean Credits (CRDS) and Sequence (SEQ) are your partners? I want to learn more about this project, do you have a whitepaper to share and your future plans in the form of a roadmap? I don't see some important links in this thread, I hope you can add it too soon.

Hello barnes13, there is a common history with both Credits and Sequence, both projects remain as contacts. There is no curremt white paper, for now we are content to make sure that the wallets have a similar appearance, function as intended. We would like to keep them up to date and perhaps port over certain functions from one to the other. In the future we might add specific Fluid parameters to better accommodate changing market conditions. Of course secondary projects like Desktop wallets or Mobile wallets could be initiated.

Thank you for your reply! I understand you are in the stage of developing this project, but I don't understand your purpose in making this project. That's why I ask you to make it in the form of a whitepaper so that I can really understand what you are doing right now and how good the utility of your coins is. And I think it's better if you make a roadmap to give us a clear estimate, keep away from using the word "soon" because it can reduce our interest. Those are some advice that I can give to you, hopefully you can understand.

I understand what you are asking for which is essentially why would there be any value to this project? In the current state the whole crypto industry is aiming for use case as the sole reason to drive demand but they are neglecting that without countercyclical measures value comes and goes, there is no damping in price oscillations. Because most if not all crypto projects want to stay 100% clear from central control due to legal reasons they are most likely without any means other then hording people into their project. Be it active marketing or providing use case for continual demand.

The situation is a bit like a comparison between a row and a sailboat, where single coin but use case driven projects are actively rowing to get ahead we want to leverage the wind and sail to our destination (use case is secondary) Grin
