Re: BTC Price going back to $250???

This is definitly not in a sens of a Santa Clauss rally.

It is still November. Santa Clauss rally will not come until December.
Even if there is no Santa Caluss rally, it is still OK with the bitcoin price. The price has risen from $230, it needs some consolidation.

Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ?
by

on 23/11/2015, 15:26:11 UTC
i think it will take a lot of time for something like that to happen because the price does not seem to grow right now

Just be patient. The price will rise eventually.
It took 6 years for the price to rise from $0.0001 to $330. With the wide usage of bitcoin, the price will rise further.

Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase?

I think the prices will increase soon, that's why holding some bitcoins nowadays is a profitable idea in my opinion

If you believe the price will rise, it is better to hold on to most of your bitcoin and spend some bitcoin to buy things. The circulation can make the value of bitcoin to increase.

Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling?

With the share market we are believing some third parties for our profits whereas in gambling, we are relaying on our own skills to make profits. I do believe on my own capability for my fortunes than others.

In stock market, you can rely on professional fund managers to manage the money for you. But those manager on average will be worse off than the index track funds.
In gambling, only very few professional gamblers can make a living. Most of the gamblers can only have fun, not the money.

Gambling does not have any significant advantages it only has many major disadvantages.

Gambling is the human nature of some people. They want to have some excitement during the gambling process. This is also a form of entertainment. All entertainments cost money.

Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ?

on 22/11/2015, 17:23:12 UTC
well i believe it can be profitable in a long run though you need to be extremely lucky for such thing to happen

There is a chance to be profitable in long term. Some professional gamblers can achieve that. They do not play pure lucky based games. The house edge can kill their profitability in long run. They can only play against other less experienced gamblers.

You can't rely on luck for a living, so gambling should not be your main income, that's simple.

The gambling is based on the chance. You do not know if you will win or not in the next round. It is not a reliable source of income. It is better to find a proper job.

Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong?

Yeah, Gambling is not wrong if it is in limits, but if it becomes an addiction then one day you are gonna loose all your hard earned money and even bitcoins  as gambling doesn't guarantees us success everytime, it is just a matter of luck, if you are lucky enough on that particular day, you can even hit the jackpot or else end up loosing.

That is right. There is no guaranty of winning gambling. The result is quite random and there is house edge against the gamblers. Most gamblers will lose eventually.

It is still possible for the price to reach $500 by the end of the year. There will be more news about blockchain adoption.

There are quite a few news about the adoption of block chain technology by banks and audit companies. This could drive the bitcoin price higher as it will make people aware of bitcoin as well.

Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling?

Gambling is great fun...it's all about managing what you can risk and win.

I can't identify with either comment...I don't gamble for a living and I don't live to gamble but some times - weekends or a boring week night, when I'm on the road too, it's fun to just make some bets and see where things go. Betting on sports games is fun too, I do that a lot on American Football.

If you find gambling as fun then you are not making gambling for a living. Only some people who are finding gambling is profitable, they may turn into the living off gambling. I believe all the gamblers fall in these two category.

For most people, gambling is just for fun. Most of us cannot live on gambling as too much skill is required to gamble professionally. There are not many reports about living on gambling only.

I dont think so that most people will think like that, because what I know they play it with their own money and aim for double or triple it, there is no way they could enjoy losing their money like that

They will not enjoy the losing of their money. They will enjoy the gambling process. These guys know if they play for long time, they will lose.

When will all the coins be mined? what happens after that?

A few years before 2140, all the coins will be mined. After that, miners will rely on transaction fees to help them make profit. With more transactions at the time, mining should continue.

Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble?
by
Oscilson
on 21/11/2015, 20:50:11 UTC
yes you play only your spare money and lose of course but besides that you can use faucets of casinos btc to just try to multiply and take the cash after no risk of time or investment cash soo you can never lose much just time

In gambling there is no such word called safe so if your thinking it is way to become rich or making good money then do not enter in to this trap. But instead just play these games for fun with some extra money and if your lucky you may win big money or just think it is also like a week end expense and move on with other activities.

There is no safe way in gambling to earn a living out of it. Most gambling is lucky based. The result is random. So there is no garuntee that you will win. That could be the source of fun in gambling. You have to take risk to win. The higher the win, the more risk you have to take.

When the bitcoin price stays at around $350 for a few months or half year, the chance is that when the price does rise, the price will be much higher. It could be 3-5 times of the $350, or $1000 - $1600. If there is good news about adoption of bitcoin, the price will be even higher.

The people that are making money consistently through gambling are called grinders

I don't think that exist such kind of people of players. Are only urban legends.

They exist and they are alive. You need to open your eyes more about this stuff and read how many proffesional poker player that make thousand of dollars atleast per week and millions per year. Their name exist, you can simply google them

There are quite a few professional gamblers living on gambling. But the game they play is usually not the one against the casino, but against people. The professional poker player can win a lot. They beat other people.

Gambling is a fun game if you can control yourself and do not lose more than you can afford. If you need to borrow money to gamble or it affects your family life, then stay away from it.

Stock market is a 0 ending game, if someone wins that means that someone loses also. If you think that the price is reasonable to buy yourself in and you expect the price to go up, someone at the same moment thinks that the price will go down and it's high time to sell. After it, one of them will win and the other has missed the opportunity to win, so it's a loss for him.

Stock market is not a 0 ending game. It is positive sum game. The reason for that is most companies make profit, this money will be paid to investors. The trading cost, tax will reduce the return to investors.

Re: How much you have lost in gambling?
by

on 21/11/2015, 08:58:53 UTC
I'm relatively new to the world of online gambling, a little under a year. I've lost over 180BTC , it makes me a little sick to think about.

I posted some of my wins here www.mobtcs.com , I've had some decent wins, but I don't hold onto them for very long.

People lose their health, their sanity, and also their relationship, the money was and still is mainly irrelevant. You only live once and unfortunately time can't be bought back, so why you are gambling anyway?

Gambling, betting and taking risk is human nature. If our ancestors did not take the risk, we would have lived a much worse life now. Gambling is also a kind of entertainment.

Litecoin is practically dead. Just look at it, there is no new development and no innovation at all. I think that the only thing Litecoin is good at is for trading and making some quick profit. Other than that, it is just another copy of Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

Even though litecoin is still mined and traded, there is not much use of it apart from as a trading tool. People want to get rich with litecoin, but there is no actual use of it to buy goods.
