On 2/12/14, it seems that many coin withdrawals from CampBX went missing.  They never showed up on the blockchain while being deducted from accounts.  Their support has offered nothing in terms of assurances or explanations.

I'm in the same position as you. I tried to withdraw BTC3.5 to Bitstamp on 2/10/14, and the same exact thing happened. Been going back and forth with customer support and got the same responses. I did press their service rep a bit more in live chat, and he basically said that many people were having this problem, and that it was going to take longer than their usual bitcoin recovery time of 10 days.

What I found to be strange was the fact that despite the transaction id CampBX gave while withdrawing was not found, Bitstamp knew coins had been sent to my depositing address. My account at Bitstamp showed a pending deposit awaiting confirmation despite the transaction never actually showing up in the blockchain. I'm assuming it had to do with malleability issues. Perhaps somebody who knows bitcoin's inner workings a bit better could explain exactly what I saw happen.

I don't think CampBX is blatantly stealing, I have the feeling they are just making sure they can account for everything before re-crediting people's accounts.

Anybody else have a similar experience recently at CampBX? Is Keyur still active here?

Re: Why is MT. GOX selling at $300?

That's what I am talking about Smiley so they are playing with customers to catch them like a fly. And 50/50 will you withdraw or not Smiley

I wouldn't say that. Gox doesn't set the price, the prices at which people buy and sell does. The current price is just a piece of information that represents the sum of information available to the market as a whole. Thelow valuation has little to do with Gox trying to retain customers, and everything to do with the information available to traders, combined with collective sentiment regarding the exchange and bitcoin itself.

Does anybody have data showing the disparity between Gox and the other exchanges? I can't remember a time when the price disparity was this great.

I don't mine, but I do believe there are a plethora of calculators out there that will tell you your profit margins after factoring in for electricity usage. It's also my understanding that 24/7 mining will make your rig get pretty warm, might even be able to offset your heating bill a bit...
