I don't think it's fully manipulated, but I'm almost sure whales should take part in certain manipulation, of course, IMO.

Re: Bitcoin news and technical analysis

Unfortunately, you just cannot predict the market behavior neither by Bitcoin news, not technical analysis, which means you have to make your own decision...

In answering this question to yourself, you have to answer a lot of additional questions. To make long story short - trading Wink

So it was always, the more the risk, the more money from market you can earn. Cryptocurrencies have always been accompanied by huge risks and huge profits.

That's the point. People don't seem to be willing to understand that this situation has always been risky like that.

Re: Why we will see $50k Bitcoin end of year
by
OutlawFat
on 20/08/2018, 20:55:06 UTC
50k $ is too high before the end of this year so far to reach the price of a bitcoin because if this happens, many people will now hold bitcoin and earn big money.

Cryptomarket is totally unpredictable, so who can guarantee it can/can't go beyond 50k $ before the end of this year? Or who could have predicted 20k almost a year ago?.. But I'm totally curious about the outcome Wink

Re: How are you planning ahead?
by
OutlawFat

It depends when you started with Bitcoin and what your expectations are.

If you are like most and bought at the all time high and haven't sold then you are most likely holding until you get breakeven or wait till like $12k or something and sell at a slight loss. If BTC actually does moon you will still make a lot of money.

For people who were here longer than a year or so are mostly in profit, in that case you should just hedge with tether or just sell on an exchange for fiat and withdraw some earnings, at least what you initially invested.

Pretty sensible. Thanks for the insight!

I don't think waiting is a great option, I'd buy, of course. Some people believe peak will cover all costs of buying coins now.

Only of you are into fiction, IMHO. I don't really believe in it. The idea is good, but leaves much to be perfect.

Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ?
by
OutlawFat
on 04/08/2018, 19:09:49 UTC
Governments don't want to make BTC illegal worldwide because it's against their interests. They must know there isn't a way to control it technically. If they ban it, it'll go underground and they will lose their chance to control it and the btc holders. Making it illegal is the best way to hide it even from the government itself. Hopefully, they're not that stupid.

Re: why do governments kick against privacy?
by

on 04/08/2018, 18:37:20 UTC
They are not interested in your privacy. Any government wants to know what the people are doing and thinking so that it could manage them efficiently. Without that the government will fail. That simple.

Re: Does Bitcoin create a hole in the cycle of economy?
by
OutlawFat
on 22/07/2018, 20:53:55 UTC
This is ridiculous  Wink Many governments for years have had indirect ways to trace your income whether you declare it or not. So, in this way I don’t really see a big difference between good old cash that is traditionally used in the ‘shadow economy’/ ‘black market.’ Whenever a person tries to evade payment of taxes, s/he will easily succeed in it. At least for some time Wink But then the IRS and other authorities come into play. Remember Al Capone? Had he used btc, I believe the result would have been the same Smiley So, not to worry, btc just cannot “create a hole in the cycle of economy.”

Re: Where's the bitcoin hype gone?
by

Even haters kind of dissapeared Smiley

Well, the newness of bitcoin has worn off and people simply got tired of talking about it. As simple as that. The new round of hype, however, is possible should the price of BTC leap once again. Then you'll see more haters, followers, and guys willing to get rich overnight by buying 0.00000001 BTC for a dime Wink

I agree with those who don't believe it's possible to HODL for everybody at the same time. It's against human nature. Besides, there have been lots of newbies after the last year's shocking growth, so don't panic, keep on hodling!  Cool

Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency?

Shut down your computer(s), turn on a silent mode on your telephone(s), and get some sleep. Wink That'll do you good. Don't forget to get something to eat when you wake up before turning your communication devices on  Cool
Seriously, though, I believe you should never invest more than you can afford to lose. An old truth that happens to work.
