Your transaction has been accelerated . Please wait for a while and it should get confirmed shortly . Feel free to send tip .

CoolWave, thank you for accelerating my transaction (67763815cc8420cc28c38ef69623268d4f7baab9e46fa769350601a41bfc3c3e)

However I would like to give you a small tip. Can you please offer addresses of altcoins you are comfortable with?

Most users use your service in order to avoid transaction fees, i. e. to save money. If users would send you a tip to your BTC address, then they would also have these transaction fees again! But maybe many users refrain to tip you, because there is no very cheap way to tip you. Or would you accelerate tips to your own BTC address as well?

One possible solution could be, that you offer also other altcoin addresses to tip you. If you do so, more users will tip you, because there will be several ways to send you small tips and avoiding the expensive transaction fees of the BTC blockchain at the same time.

Please think about it, it is just for your own good.  Smiley

The whole blockchain data until now should be about 5BG altogether. I have a version of the block until block 630121. However I somehow messed the files up, so it is not possible to get the following blocks with this version. I guess there are some orphaned blocks on top of my version, so I can't get any further!

I hope that somebody will upload a proper version of the current blockchain. Otherwise the client has to be changed in order to be able to get the whole blockchain from scratch.

At the moment the checkpoint zones are the problem! We have only very few users with the current version of the blockchain left. The rest cannot follow them, because updating the blockchain will stop at certain checkpoints. You will even get a strange error message saying that your current client version is outdated! But in fact I am using the current version!

In order to get the blockchain, I started from the beginning with a clean computer! Sometimes the download stucks getting blocks with certain number.

At the moment the process is still trying the get the following block to block 214412. Although I keep this computer running day and night there is still no progress after 24 hours!

How long must I keep running this computer in order to get the blockchain up to date again?

The error message is:

Sync data returned unknown top block: 214412

After this error message the synchronization is started again with the same result.

I had this problem before with other blocks, but this time it seems to take very long to get the following block!

If you have some ideas, please help me!

Client updated to 0.7.5.6

modified the blockchain file structure.
reduce the memory useage.

At the moment many people have problems to get connected to the blockchain properly. The problem is due to a certain block in the blockchain: 630091

After client version had been updated to 0.7.5.6 all clients could only receive data until this block. So the developer team uploaded the previous client version 0.7.0.5 to the darknetspace website again. Using the old version of the client it had been possible to get the blocks after block 630091. So I used this previous version again in order to catch up with the blockchain and it worked!

Since it had been working well, the developers uploaded client version 0.7.5.6 to the website again. In the following I had been using the 0.7.5.6 version of the client and everything worked well.

But now I am facing problems again, because the  new client version 0.7.5.6 no longer accepts my wallet file. So I started to rebuild my wallet data file as described below:

How to re-build wallet data file
Wallet consist of two files: wallet data file, that usually called “my_wallet.dnc” and wallet keys file, that called “my_wallet.dnc.keys”. Last one is very important, better to keep backup of this file, and if you lost this file – you’ll spend you coins.
Wallet keys file creates only once and then newer updated, it’s used only for reading, unlike wallet data file, which is used for keeping transactions history and organizing internal database, and updated after ever wallet use. Sometimes, by different reasons, wallet file may be corrupted, this is not critical since you could always re-build your transactions history by re-synchronizing wallet with blockchain.
To re-build wallet data file:

close wallet
rename “my_wallet.dnc” to “my_wallet.dnc.backup”
open “my_wallet.dnc.keys” and wait until re-synchronizing will be finished
When re-synchronizing finished you’ll see recent transfers history (but you won’t see receipens since it was lost with original data file) and now you able to use your wallet.

By doing this you can rebuild your wallet file from scratch! But there is a problem in doing this task at the moment! The old client version 0.7.0.5 is no longer accepted! But actually this old version is needed to get beyond the block 630091! But using the new client version 0.7.5.6 one cannot get beyond block 630091! After starting mining with the client you can create your own blocks after block 630091, but this is not the correct blockchain any more! There should be a way to connect to the correct blockchain! I hope that the developers will take care of this problem! Sometimes only one or two miners are mining on http://dnc.geilidao.com/. But I cannot connect to this mining pool any more!

I have been mining this coin for over one year now, so I know what I am talking about! There are only two exchanges for this coin at the moment, but it has already some decent value! However it is a problem at the moment to send these coins since the blockchain is not working properly at the moment!

The developers will take care of this problem, because they benefit the most of all if things are working properly and the coin price will raise!

Thanks for the gui wallet.

Just transferred everything over to it.

It is a really good thing that you kept your promise creating the GUI wallet. Keep up the good work!

Regarding the 10% dev bounty:

The community would never accept a coin with 10% premine, because this is far too much. I can understand that you will need some compensation for your hard work. Nobody wants to work for nothing!

But in my opinion 10% is a little bit too high. You should charge a more modest percentage for your development work. I guess this is the true reason for miners turning their back on you.

The concept of this coin is really good. I like it and I am still mining it. But the most important thing at the moment is the reputation of this coin and not your compensation.

If the reputation of this coin is ruined you will be left with empty hands. Finishing the GUI wallet is the first sign that you really deserve some compensation.

Please work hard in order to convince the community that you really deserve your bounty. You should think over if 10% bounty is the right thing.

Hope that this coin will succeed.

Ouzo69

Really thank you for your supporting.

First of all, there is no such a thing called 10% premine.

This coin has no any premine, you can check the time of the first block and the time annouced and lauched.

From 4500th block, when you mine 100 DNC, we will take 10 DNC. That is the meaning of 10% dev bounty.

P2P exchange will be built on the blockchain, so DNC is the second generation coin like XCP and MSC, not simple POW coins like LTC and DOGE.

We are facing with many technology quizzs.

How to improve anoymity of protocol ?

How to pay and p2p trade under strong anoymous technology such as stealth address and ring signature?

How to setup new script system, because there is no any script system in bytecoin's source code, but P2P exchange needs it.

10% dev bounty means nothing if we failed. There are 5 people in our full-time team.

A lot of input but no output now except coins. It is ok, we love this game.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that the 10% dev bounty is not the same as 10% premine. Usually the premine is about 2%-3% of all the coins. Having 10% dev bounty means that you developers get 10% of all the mined from the 4500th block on. This means you have a little less than 10% of all the coins existing at the moment. The percentage is a little less than 10% because the first 4500 blocks were mined without dev bounty.

But let's look at the future:

After one year nearly all coins will be mined. At that time the developers will have about 10% of all the coins ever mined. So roughly speaking in one year the situation will be equal to 10% premine. The only difference will be that you don't have 10% of the coins from the beginning (i.e. premine) but you will have to wait for one year. But easily speaking you have 10% of all the coins ever mined during the first year of the coin.

You said that 10% dev bounty means nothing if you fail, but if you work full-time on this project you should better be successful.

10% is quite a lot if this coin will be a success. But I see the danger that 10% dev bounty may prevent the success of this coin. That is the reason why I recommended to think it over.

Another way would be that you work hard and convince the community that your work is worth every single percent paid by the miners.

Please don't get me wrong. I don't want to criticize your work. All I want to say is that you should consider carefully if the 10% dev bounty isn't an obstacle for the reputation of this coin.

Since I am mining this coin, I want it to be successful, too.

Best regards

Unfortunately there is no way at the moment for cheap and fast transfers between exchangers. The regulations destroyed all of them:

- MtGox redeemables (for doing Bitinstant transfers)
- VouchX coupon codes for funding the Vircurex Bitcoin exchange
- Liberty Reserve

All gone! Now OKPAY doesn't work for MtGox any more. There had been a time when OKPAY worked as a bridge between MtGox and BTC-e.

There are lots of money services left, but the problem is that the high fees are making arbitrage impossible.

At the moment I am running a trading bot, because I am really tired of watching the charts all day long. Although this bot can create losses it is a great tool for making arbitrage on MtGox, BTC-e and Bitstamp.

Bitcoin.de is also a great site! A friend of mine made lots of money there with his sophisticated trading method. You can get good prices at this site and if you have a good reputation, other users are willing to trade with you. But it takes a few days until your funds arrive at your bank account. So it is always a good idea to have EUR and BTC available at the same time. Just buy cheap bitcoins and sell them more expensive and you will make profit no matter how the Bitcoin price will be.

In order to use Bitcoin.de you should get a bank account at the Fidor Bank (www.fidor.de). You should try to get an account at this innovative bank. Their bank accounts are available for foreigners as well. At least for Europeans.

Great sites for watching the Bitcoin market are bitcoinity.org and bitcoinwisdom.com. You should have a look at them.

At the moment I am rebuilding the website. And then the BTC-Trader for MtGox will be available again.

You are right. I should do a Bitstamp version of the product, since MtGox has lost many customers. But there is still another project to be finished. I am developing a windows version of Google Authenticator.

Bitistant transfers are no longer working again. Easily speaking arbitrage through a transfer of USD funds between different Bitcoin exchanges is dead at the moment due to the regulations. Bitcoin arbitrage is really not that easy like in the gold old days. I really miss that!

But Code generation did not work at the moment?

Hello Fuwe!

Code generation on MtGox doesn't work for quite some time now! Even BTC redeemable codes are not possible anymore.

MtGox had to cease the generation of redeemable codes due to legal issues.

This means also, that Bitinstant function of BTC-Trader will not work at the moment.

I don't exactly know what is the matter with Bitinstant now, but the website is not open for making transfers at the moment.

Hi Andreas,

What do you think? My idea is to move all following MtGox codes up, if one of the MtGox coupon codes is deleted. So you can use them one by one.
Sounds good to me.

Or another idea would be, that users can exchange two of the codes. We have to think about a good concept first and then I can implement it.
Not shore what you mean by "users can exchange two of the codes".
You mean like 2 different users, or "one" user can change 2 codes --> like move them to another input field?

Cheers,
MasterX

Hello MasterX,

I guess the first idea is better. Just Moving codes up. I am also thinking about recovering codes, that already had been deleted. If you delete a still  valid code, it is kind of cumbersome to log in your MtGox account to get this deleted code back. I am thinking of a list and only part of this list is visible.

code_-2
code_-1
code_0
code_1
code_2
...
code_10

code_0 to code_10 are visible and the rest is not. This means deleting for example code_1 moves this code to code_0. The user is able to move codes up and codes down. So moving down the list you can get code_0 back. Just in case you deleted it unintentionally.

The idea with exchanging codes is inferior.

code_1
code_2
code_3
code_4

Now the user wants to have code_3 on top of the list. Just exchange these two codes.

code_3
code_2
code_1
code_4

I guess this would be much easier to implement.

But I want this feature that a user can recover a MtGox coupon code deleted unintentionally. I still have to think some more about this new feature.

Hello MasterX!

I already did the 1600 x 900 pixel window version of BTC-Trader. The others will follow. Take a look at the Download area.

Please note, that your screen resolution should exceed the one of BTC-Trader, if you want to use the window version.

Best regards

Andreas

Much better!
I like it!  Smiley

Hello MasterX!

Ok, I will do all 3 resolutions as window version. Smiley

Regarding the MtGox coupon codes:
At the moment the software is looking for the first empty field to fill in a MtGox code. But I really like your idea to have the newest MtGox code always on top of the list. At the moment only the MtGox coupon code on top of the list can be used for Bitinstant transfers. So in order to do Bitinstant transfers, users have to keep the first entry empty. But the problem is, that the other codes cannot move up!

What do you think? My idea is to move all following MtGox codes up, if one of the MtGox coupon codes is deleted. So you can use them one by one.

Or another idea would be, that users can exchange two of the codes. We have to think about a good concept first and then I can implement it.

Hello MasterX!

This is something strange I experience every night! When I still had daylight saving time here in Germany, this time of the day always had been after midnight! For about 15-30 minutes all API calls fail and BTC-Trader doesn't work properly. You can use the MtGox web interface during this time.

I don't know why this is so, but every night it is like this! You can't use BTC-Trader during this time!

However, after 20-30 minutes everything works fine again. I guess, that every night there might be a kind of MtGox API maintenance. I submitted a support request to MtGox support this night. Let's wait for their answer. I am curious about this, too!

But I know this problem well, since I experience it every night, too.

Just try again about every 10 minutes and you will know how long it lasts this time.

Best regards

Andreas
Hi Andreas,

Alright!, thanks for the info, it is indeed working right now.
Last night i tried 2 times with the new 1920x1080 as well as with the 1280x720 version and it acted both the same way, so i went to bed...
Today, i tried and it worked, just like you have said.

Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of basket for self made mtgox keys?
I just almost lost a key, later i realized that i could just go and grab the key from the mtgox website, but it would be very handy to keep some sort of log inside the application.

Also, i don't know if this is even possible with mediator, but it would be nice to be able to open the application in windowed mode., because even when someone downloads a smaller screen size version of the program, it will open in full screen with black boards on the side and top and bottom.

Another thing i'm missing in the application are charts,  it would be cool to see a chart somewhere around the tick data window, as we humans can better visualize a chart than tick data.

Anyway, keep up the good work, i really like the application and i am shore i'm not the only one!

Cheers,
MasterX

Hello MasterX!

Thanks for your reply about BTC-Trader. Well using different MtGox keys would be possible. Lets say you have 4 different API keys. I can change BTC-Trader to use 4 different password protected 7z-files in order to handle several API-Keys. Each key will be saved in another 7z file. For example: user01pw.7z, user02pw.7z, user03pw.7z and user04pw.7z

Then one user can handle several different API-Keys or you can even have different API-Keys for different users.

About the window mode:
Personally I like this fullscreen mode, because this way you will have maximum space for your objects on the screen. This mode is best, if your screen resolution is equal to the one of BTC-Trader. However it is sometimes annoying, if you have to tab out of the application several times! And if your screen resolution is higher than the one of BTC-Trader a windowed version of BTC-Trader would be desireable, because this small screen inside a large one looks kind of poor.

It's not a great effort to compile a windowed version. Lets start with one test-version. What screen resolution would you prefer for your windowed version of BTC-Trader?

About the charts:
Well, I don't exactly know yet how to implement charts into BTC-Trader. It may be some effort. What charts are you thinking about? Something like mtgoxlive.com/orders ?

But I also have another idea regarding the Bitinstant arbitrage: I use an Excel file to calculate if a Bitinstant transfer from MtGox to BTC-e would be profitable. I would like it to have this kind of calculator function integrated into BTC-Trader. This is my idea about a new function in BTC-Trader.

Regards

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I was trying to reproduce the situation as the one showed in your axample trading video, but i cant seem to find how to put in my btc-e accountinfo.
If i fill the info (account username) and click BTC-e, i always get the error: "Please choose a destination for your funds first" right after clicking on "Bitinstant - New Order".

Is there anything i should do before this can work?
Like for example, the first time i opened that page i got "Error! Cannot read BTC-e Username data!"
As i do not have filled in the info for the other exhanges, the same type of error message is filled in all of the username fields.

Any help on how to set this up would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
MasterX
Me again,

I think i may have found the problem, however i did not find the solution for it yet.
The problem is that (witch ever button i click) the data does not get filled in the grey text boxes.
The boxes i mean are the ones witch are shown in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq2devvvyrg&feature=youtu.be)  on 0:50 / 1:50.

Is there any logical explanation for this?

MasterX

Hello MasterX,

Bitinstant was down for two days. In these time they made changes to their API functions. If a Bitinstant transfer to BTC-e will work or not is decided by the Bitinstant Reserves on BTC-e (please refer to Picture 2). The old API didn't check for available funds and simply provided a quote. The problem had been, that the funds were deposited at the Bitinstant account, but the user couldn't get the funds (minus the fee) back on BTC-e site, because reserves were not sufficient any more. Usually failed transfers enter a queue and the funds will be paid to the user BTC-e account when the new reserves arrive. Otherwise users had to wait until Bitinstant support fixed this problem manually.

The behaviour of the new Bitinstant API is different:
If reserves on BTC-e are not sufficient, you will get an error message from Bitinstant API: "Cannot accept order at present".
These changes are fairly new and so I had to adapt BTC-Trader, too. In the new version of BTC-Trader, I already fixed this problem. Just refer to the "BTC-Trader News" at the website. If BTC-Trader will get an error message back from the Bitinstant API, this error message will be shown in BTC-Trader now (please refer to Picture 1). Please download the new version of BTC-Trader from the Download area. It will be sufficient to overwrite only BTC-Trader.exe. In doing so you will keep all the settings in your BTC-Trader.INI file.

I hope, that your problem is fixed now. Please don't hesitate to contact me, if there is still some problem.

Best regards

Thanks, Andreas. I'll check it out sometime. Saving time (if trustworthy) is worth it.

Hello mechabtc,

hope, that you will find the time. If there is any question about the software, please don't hesitate to contact me at andreas@mybtc-trader.com.

I really worked hard to create this software. And if you trade Bitcoins on a regularly basis, you will easily earn the profit to pay the license fee.

Schön, ich werds mal ausprobieren. Nur springen alle alle Antivirus-Alarmglocken an^^ Google Chrome wills gar nicht erst downloaden.

Die Software ist aber sauber. Keine Angst! Ich benutze sie selbst auch!
