I am going to hang around and mine here from time to time and trust that we get paid.
I wouldn't waste my time expecting to get paid from this guy. Sent coins to his "exchange" bought coins, now can't withdraw, and no response to PM, also email addresses provided admin@overhash.com and support@overhash.com return permanent errors. Don't hold your breath.
We have replied to your pm, so please check that?

They are off to a good start.... Why would anybody even mine here?
No our name is "Admin" on the pool, also we know the low hashrate ~15TH/s is a bit off putting but every pool has to start somewhere right?

OverHash started out as a Bitcoin mining pool, and has now evolved into a crypto currency exchange. Our mining pool is still up and running at https://pool.overhash.com if you are looking for that.
Here at OverHash we wish to offer the fast, easy to use exchange for all the greatest and latest crypto currency's to emerge. We are currently in our BETA phase (all features functional) and wish to load/stress test our platform in a real world enviroment.
We currently offer a few markets (LTC, DRK, DOGE etc) but are always open to the demands/requirements of you our customer. So please let us know if there are any crypto currency's you would like added that may have slipped past us!
The main overview for each market has all the information you should need at your finger tips to make trading a breeze;

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, with the Christmas season and high workload we have been rather burnt out (things are still happening in the background).
A small update, we have shifted the pool to https://pool.overhash.com as we have launched our crypto exchange at https://overhash.com.
All settings are exactly the same and the stratum is still at the same address!
Our electrician (ex electrician now) screwed up the 3 phase install so we are in the process of getting it fixed, as when we plug our miners in it keeps tripping the breaker. So hopefully that will be up soon as the downtime and server costs are really killing us at the moment.

Well I hope he starts soon because I could really use some help! haha
No kidding...at 7TH/s with no difficulty increase it still would take @9+months to find a block depending on luck and your losing @$30 per day by not mining on a pool that is hitting blocks or paying PPS. Maybe the pool operator will plug those two S4's in he says he has and you will get another 4TH/s mining on the pool. Good Luck.
that is why i ask to overhash, it looks a bit ... , like you said before in this thread.
Something don't add up... but the variance on such a small pool is hard to take. I think I would rather just solo mine on CK's pool.
One other thing that bothers me is OverHash says he was a miner as he stated his equipment was older stuff that was not profitable to run but he also said they test stressed this pool, but with what? says he has 2 S4's but can't power them up with the electric circuit he has so is updating his power to 3 Phase...said he should be up and running Monday or Tuesday... still nothing. I guess that is what bothered me so much from the start that a miner goes to all the expenses to start a new pool but was does not have anything himself to mine with. Heck I would mine with anything, profitable or not on my pool until I received my new equipment.
It is more the fact that the miners are being set up in a spare office space we have at work that is currently being re wired (20 year old building with less than desirable old wiring) the electrician had run into some problems but ensures to us that it will be finished by end of week.
Yes the pool was stress tested multiple ways including renting rigs from nicehash etc to see it was all compatible.
We understand that its a bit of a gamble to start mining with us at the moment as we are so small, but we have to start somewhere right?

We are looking into enabling merged mining along with Bitcoin, we might try and push it out in the next update

We would like it if other pool politics stayed out of our thread if possible please, as we don't have anything to do with it nor want to. They have their own respective threads for that.
In saying that we want to welcome more miners as we are still rather small and still have not found our first block yet sadly so come and join us and have some fun!

Awesome, so you should have the juice to power on tomorrow or Tuesday? (2) S4's will be a nice boost to the pool hashrate.

Sorry about that will elaborate, wasn't 100% sure what aurel57 was trying to get at and used a little wrong terminology.
We are in the process of re wiring/getting 3 phase installed as we cannot currently supply enough power to the S4's with everything else running in the office is what I meant. This is why we have not currently got them mining at OverHash.
We understand people might see the promotion we are running as similar to others, but the cost of 1 S3+ is worth the marketing value. Also the substantial investment/time to setup and run + running costs should also show that we are serious as our server costs alone aren't exactly cheap (yes the server may be over kill, but stability/uptime is a core value to us).
We apologize for the misunderstanding and hope that clears it up for you all!

We are still small so there is bound to be some skepticism, yes there are other pools out there currently with more miners and faster blocks but isn't the whole point of having more pools to spread decentralisation?
I am not against more pools but still would like to know where you mine at with your 2- S4's miners?
If you had read the thread which you quoted us from we are against the other S4's and the PSU's to arrive which is hopefully Monday/Tuesday then the will be hooked up to mine on the pool

Ah gotcha, thanks for the heads up we currently have 2 already and haven't had any problems so far *fingers crossed*
Sorry should have been more specific, we had ordered more S4's hence had to upgrade our PSU's and how we are powering the farm which should all be up and running Monday/Tuesday.
Although that is kinda irrelevant to this thread as OverHash itself is a service

Yes shipping is included world wide
We understand that our low hashrate is stopping a few people from joining us, we are still relatively new and proving our stability so make sure to keep an eye on us and as more people join the faster the blocks will be!

It depends on what you are using to mine as some difficulty's work better than others, and also depends on your hashing rate also.
If you could provide some more info or search the forums and you will find other people may have posted optimum settings, those settings wont always be the best for everyone but you could use them as a rough idea.
