Re: Are exchanges evading proof of reserves unsafe for users?

Proof of reserves is designed to get exchanges demonstrate transparency by proving that customers deposits are safe in their possession. In an industry riddled with uncertainties and fraud, the need to reassure investors that their funds are safe cannot be overemphasised.

In a bid to raise transparency and trust in cryptocurrency exchanges Proof of reserves allows customers and auditors to indeed verify that exchanges retain the funds they deposited in them.
Unfortunately only a handful of exchanges currently offer any kind of proof of reserves for their customers; while some cite security, cost and competitive disadvantages for their failure to release their proof of reserves, the bold ones have gone on to release theirs.

As a trader, do you feel safe using such exchanges that haven’t released theirs or should the more transparent ones be given preference?

Imagine being able to verify with your own eyes that the exchange you're using actually holds the funds it claims to have. Exchanges that offer proof of reserve empower you to see for yourself, building trust and confidence in the platform. so hell yeah I'd entrust my assets with such exchange tbh

Which platform do we think is more reputable and have good track record of security? Does either of them have good liquidity?

You'd have to move the thread to altcoin discussion. Should be more appropriate given that it's about DEX.

For DEX, I recommend popular ones like Uniswap since their code has been fully audited (this doesn't mean it's hack-proof btw). CEX is not recommended except you need quick on/off ramps fiat services which most CEX offer out of the box. For DEX recommendations, Popular ones like Uniswap, 1inch, etc should do just fine.
I don’t ignore uniswap, just turned off by their limited liquidity. Unlike cex, DEX typing have lower liquidity due to the absent of market makers and order books yeah. Don’t you think this can result in wider spreads between buying and selling prices? And prolly a potentially slippage when executing larger trades ??

Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency?

Well aside the financial freedom I’ll enjoy, another strategic area I’ll talk about is Privacy and Security that got me attracted to cryptocurrency was the heightened levels of privacy and security it offers. The thing here is Unlike traditional financial systems, where personal information is required for every transaction, cryptocurrency allows for more anonymous transactions. By employing blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies ensure that transactions are secure, transparent, and immutable. This element of privacy resonates greatly with me and gives me peace of mind that my financial transactions will not be exploited or tracked.

Been asked a couple of times, what problems does cryptocurrency solve, and what’s its unique value proposition compared to other cryptocurrencies or traditional financial systems.  Would love any other users take on this ..

Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth?

I overheard my coworkers discussing the idea that new investors in crypto cannot make profits without possessing trading skills. I would like to initiate a discussion on whether this claim is true or false. In my view, this belief is a false notion that is spread by individuals who want to discourage those who are curious about investing in crypto. What is your perspective on this topic?

Guys, I mean what other ways can newbies benefit from crypto investment without having to be a day trader or a professional trader. Because I believe there are other ways to earn aside from trading.

While trading can be profitable, it's not the only way to earn profits from cryptocurrency investments. New investors can also make potential profits by buying and holding cryptocurrencies. This strategy involves purchasing a cryptocurrency and holding onto it for a period of time in the hopes that its value will increase. This is a simple and popular technique that can be effective if you invest in the right project. Therefore, I believe the idea that new crypto investors can only earn from trading is a myth.

I was getting tired of attending the same old crypto events that didn’t offer anything new or exciting. But then, I stumbled upon the lucky wheel event hosted by Bitget. And let me tell you, it’s going to be an experience like no other, especially for the Aussies.

Finally, a hassle-free experience! And let’s talk about the rewards for a moment – they are simply amazing. Just imagine having some fun and earning crypto at the same time— A $100,000 Prize Pool, a MacBook Air M2 and an Amazon $2000 voucher. What do you guys think?
