Re: How to prepare for long term HODL
by

on 28/11/2019, 11:34:11 UTC
preparing for long term hodl is very important, the points above are very note worthy and i believe if we can key into them we should be able to make gains at the end of the holding period. alternative source of income should only come as the last point because there are so many people that depends only on crypto and they have been able to manage their resources very well to be able to hodl for long term.

Re: if anyone hacked your account then who is responsible???

if I've created account/wallet on coinbase or any other exchange then my account is hacked and my coins/money lost who are responsible for it
The Exchange where I've created account Huh
is it my mistake Huh
what's you thought about it Huh

and how i make my account safe  Huh

there several instances to note here, was your account hacked alone or was the exchange hacked? if the exchange was hacked then it is of no fault of yours but if it was only your account that was affected then you must have compromised your login details which lead to the hack. things you need to do to avoid been hacked is for you not to visit phsing sites, don't use the same password for exchange and airdrop/bounty programs. avoid using same password for your email and exchange accounts and my last advice is for you to enable 2Factor Authentication in all your exchange accounts even when you don't have funds in there.

If i have to look back at the past of bitcoin and crypto well i'd say there is still huge hope left in future, despite all the ups and downs in the early life of bitcoin and few altcoins available back then here they are today,  and now here we are with better adoption compare to the past, once upon a time it was just a single btc ATM in 2013 and now we have thousands, Adoption is slowly taking over but its hard for many to see because many are so unprepared for the down side of crypto, they only want the good side which is not a reality to me, for what so ever is going to work will have its challenges, remember that rome was not built in a day, lets fully support the technology and hopefully we will start seeing 6 figure bitcoin price in the near future..

good point there, most especially where you said many are not looking forward to experiencing the down side but always want to experience the good side. i am one of those who easily get discourage when the going becomes hard and stressful, its actually a weak point i have but i am working seriously on standing strong at both times; the good times and in the bad times. i believe cryptocurrency is the future and we just got started.

Re: A coin that solves a problem won't die
by
Oyimeelijah
on 27/11/2019, 15:45:08 UTC
Its impossible to have one or two coins in crypto space because one or two coins can't solve all the problems we have in this world in every aspect of technology or others, if you want to keep a coin for a long time make sure the coin or token solves one or two problems in crypto space or the world, this type of coins don't die easily because they have real use cases, its simple as that

it is very true what you posted and i see a lot of sense in it. but have you thought about the fact that we have 2 - 3 different coins trying to solve same challenges? there are infarct so many duplicated functions currently and that alone can be the very reason why they don't get to see the light of day after listing in an exchange. its a good thing we have the first 50 coins on coinmarketcap, they are solving a lot of challenges already.

Re: Upbit exchange was hacked. 342,000 ETH lost
by
Oyimeelijah
on 27/11/2019, 15:39:10 UTC
At 13:06 on November 27, 2019, 342,000 ETH (approximately 58 billion won) were transferred from the Ethereum Hot Wallet to an unknown wallet.
UpBit says it will cover losses worth $51.3 million with corporate funds.

Unknown wallet address: 0xa09871AEadF4994Ca12f5c0b6056BBd1d343c029

https://upbit.com/service_center/notice?id=1085

UPD1: It is also rumored to have additionally stolen BTT worth more than $ 3.5 million and TRX worth more than $ 17 million. Perhaps this will be announced later. After the withdrawal of ETH to unknown wallets from the exchange, BTT with TRX moved to unknown wallets.

UPD2: Funds in the amount of 342,000 ETH were stolen from the Upbit wallet, funds began to be received again, in different amounts, it seems from the exchange team. A logical question arises. Why replenish an already compromised wallet? Hacked wallet balance already - 4.726 ETH

when i first read about the Hack i was truly surprised because my korean friend has a lot of funds with upBit. but then again i read the news and saw that they where going use corporate funds to help cover for loss and i was relieved that my friwend wasnt going to loose his funds. Cryptocurrency exchanges are constantly faced with cases of hacks and this says a lot about the security they kept assuring users. truly sad that upBit that i felt was a decent exchange is undergoing such crisis.

Good evening everyone, I want to share a little bit of saturation but also want to share the spirit in the current market conditions (Altcoin Prices). When you decide to trade, you must set aside a lot of time to monitor price movements. Actually not only choose the time to buy or sell, but there must be a growing spirit of self. Don't focus too much on conditions, but we need refreshment of mind to make a new strategy. I am optimistic that the altcoin price will grow well, maybe later this year. Do you think so now? Thank you,

thanks for this little piece of write up, i have been on the verge most often at times to pack up and leave but something keeps drawing me to have patience and finish what i started. the long bearish season has seriously brought me down to earth and i have been hoping for good news for while now. i really need to stop complaining to my friends and strategies for a better come back that will take me back to the sky

Re: Year 2020 expectations

New upcoming projects are targeting 2020 either for good market season or because of the upcoming bitcoin halving, they want to avoid loses that is plaguing crypto space at all cost, even good projects of this year had hard time gathering needed fund and the lucky ones managed to reach softcap, what do you think about year 2020? will it be a very good year for IEO and bounty hunters?

A lot o fthings are going to change come 2020. New projects will be checkmated, investors are no longer gullible and several checks shall be kept in place for up starting projects that are out to swindle imvestors. In 2020, there are a lot of milestones that has been set by many project. 2020 is going to be a good year.

I see no reason why we should bring in new people to cryptocurrency and not take out time to judiciously enlighten them on the workings of cryptocurrency. It is very unfair to tell them when you only inform thwm about all the ROIs that can be gotten, but you say nothing about the downsides of the same project and this omission of the truth will make that newbie very disappointed when his/her trades goes south ways

Re: Can we stop promoting scam project?
by
Oyimeelijah
on 21/11/2019, 21:43:02 UTC
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

Rightfully said mate, project owners are using bounty hunters in a very terrible way and it has got to stop. We as hunters should learn to stick together and to say NO to projects that are only out to enrich themselves without a care in the world for the hunters who worked ceaselessly everyday to promote their projects.

Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again
by
Oyimeelijah
on 20/11/2019, 16:07:14 UTC
Looking at the market dominance, bitcoin covers almost 70.5% of the market trade as of time of writing. there is the need for altcoin recovery or it might spell doom for investors. i.e, people invest today on a new project and sell off tomorrow.
According to a wall street executive, Max keiser, he strongly believed that altcoins has reached there dead end and advised that everyone should focus on bitcoin. considering the fact that bitcoin is limited. there is the need for altcoins as the name implies, Alternative coins.

What is your say on this.

I am of thr opinion that altcoins as well as bitcoin will help change and shape the world. So i see no reason to believe the word of a fellow man like me over my own intuition and my own believes. Things might look rocky but i strongly believe it will change for good and there will definitely come a time where the cryptocurrency market cap will rival that of forex.

There are a lot of scam project currently present in the crypto space, it actually very sad to see a project you have spent your time and resources promoting all turn to a very big scam. Good thing i came across the above mentioned post where i get to see different projects that are listed as scam.  This has given me an opportunity to narrowed down my research before promoting any project.

Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins
by
Oyimeelijah
on 20/11/2019, 15:57:30 UTC
The altcoin markets has been favorable to few but not all. it is presumed that the early and private investors rake out big cash on New and old altcoin projects leaving many projects at the mercy of the cryptomarkets for survived.  Although Most altcoins that has gone down below ROI to the verge of disappearing from the market are increasing daily.
One of the ideology we all know about the cryptocurrency is the knowledge of Holding back some altcoins we believed that will do well in the long run. it is an interesting thing to NOTE that these TWO Altcoins made me have a strong feeling that cryptocurrency can be a fortune if you are lucky to invest on it

BLOCKV
 https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/blockv/

and
THORECOIN
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/thorecoin/

A closer look on these two altcoins will make you have a rethink about holding some altcoins, what to hold and Not to sell off everything if you have to sell. Both token raised from zero usd to a high price. even contesting with the top 100 coins on CMC. i am sure there are other altcoins that made this moves in the market but it's quite unfortunate that few people are holding such while some has sold off.

So, before you make that decision of selling off everything that you have in wallet because the market is down and out. please reconsider before you regret your moves. you might be holding a token that worth millions in the next 2 years.

Your post was actually impressive up till i saw thorecoin and blockv. Like seriously?  The both coins are a no no for me, i cant imagine myself holding such coins when there are millions of altcoins with potentials out there. Have u heard of how investors lamented about thorecoin? I bet you dont know the negative aspect of the above mentioned coins

Re: Why I think all crypto is scam
by
Oyimeelijah
on 20/11/2019, 15:51:16 UTC
First there is an announcement, then there is 3 year Roadmap,
extended each year with meaningless additions, fake recruiting of
employees, trade interrupts, software announcements, wallet updates, changes
quizes, games, givaways, airdrops, forks, ICOs etc, etc, etc.

I've seen several coins with great tech which is perfectly quick and secure, anonymous (or not) and safe.
They all have mobile wallets and wallets for every OS.
Despite this fact they cannot be adopted. Nobody wants to use them, there is no real need for them.
A team of good programmers could develop a blockchain which can replace banks and paper money
in a month. Another month for testing and another month for setting up nodes across the globe.
The main point behind all this is: who controlls these programmers?

Voilla. it is that easy. That is why I think all these announcements and Roadmaps are bullshit.

To have actually hit the nail on the head of crypti is actually commendable and very impressive. I have been accuse of teaching my students of the nagative aspects the new projects are bringing into crypto. They are twisting the ideas of existing projects, rewriting whitepapers and they even go as far as employ same private developers just so we can invest and they can keep extending their roadmaps.

Re: How to avoid falling into a FOMO trap
by
Oyimeelijah
on 14/11/2019, 20:37:37 UTC
Most new traders are easy targets when it comes to falling into a FOMO trap. FOMO stands for “Fear of Missing Out” and usually occurs when there’s a lot of hype around a new project or a new development in an established project, that traders are scared of missing out on. But here’s the thing, giving into FOMO can actually be hugely detrimental to a crypto trader’s efforts. We’ll be looking at how to avoid falling into a FOMO trap, so that you can keep your trading efforts sustainable and avoid giving into hype. Here are 5 questions to ask yourself:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dasfUZXrMqQ&feature=emb_title

1. Does this sound like paid hype?

The first question you need to ask yourself when you’re trying to avoid falling into a FOMO trap is: Does this sound like paid hype? Paid hype essentially means that a crypto influencer or other’s in the cryptosphere have been paid to hype up a particular project, usually without knowing whether or not it actually has a chance of being a success in the long run.

This can be particularly impactful on new traders, who often look to figures in the crypto industry to direct them towards sound and secure projects. Unfortunately, many people are in it for the money, and may promote a scam without much care. If you’re hearing about a project from an influencer, be sure to do your own research thoroughly before considering buying in. Doing your own research is vital to making a successful trade. And if something seems odd, definitely wait the FOMO out.

2. Are there a lot of controversial statements being thrown around?

Maybe you’ve heard about a new platform and have done your own research, but there are a lot of conflicting and controversial statements being thrown around. Firstly, good for you for doing your own research. However, if opinions are generally conflicted about a coin or a project, it’s probably a good idea to wait a bit and see what happens.

Often, conflicting information is a sign that a project is unstable or too risky, and you’d be better off sitting it out. You can always buy in later if it seems like things are going well, but don’t give in to FOMO if you’re uncertain. Risky trading doesn’t make you a better trader, it is

far more beneficial to be cautious and to make the right decisions.

3. Who is the authority pushing this information, and can you trust them?

Do you know if the person or entity promoting a certain project is trustworthy? If you’re skeptical, you should probably stay away. Unfortunately, there are some individuals and authorities that use crypto and crypto trading to take advantage of people, especially people who are newer to trading. When you see someone pushing a particularly project, ask yourself whether or not they themselves are trustworthy, and whether the project that they’re promoting seems viable or realistic.

Ultimately, if neither seem legit, you should most likely stay far away. You can always keep an eye on the project and buy in at a later stage.

4. Has this been done before?

When looking into a project, you should definitely ask yourself, “Has this been done before?”. If the answer if yes, you would be better off avoiding the project altogether. Why? Well, it would make more sense to buy into the original project, than into a knock off. We’re not talking about something like a hard fork, because that’s a different situation entirely, but rather projects that seem eerily similar to other platforms that are operating under somewhat false pretenses. Those projects are most likely going to fail, as they don’t provide anything new to the cryptosphere.

5. Does this investment stretch beyond your financial means?

When you first start trading, it’s incredibly important that you evaluate how much you can afford to trade with, and start from there. If a project requires an investment that is outside the realm of affordability for you, it’s crucial that you don’t stretch yourself just to give in to FOMO. Rather wait and build yourself up to a point where you can comfortably make that investment, and then buy in. Giving into FOMO at a time when you cannot afford to can be especially disastrous.

So, how to avoid falling into a FOMO trap particularly when it comes to your finances? Wait it out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh9Hfh2tzs4&feature=emb_title

Avoiding FOMO

Now that you know how to avoid falling into a FOMO trap, you’re prepared to take on the world of crypto trading. Bitcoin trading and altcoin trading can feel incredibly daunting to start, but once you’ve got the hang of it you’ll find yourself flying in no time.

If you’re new to crypto trading and want to learn the ropes in a safe and encouraging space, check out eToro, the world’s leading social trading platform.

Cryptoassets are volatile instruments which can fluctuate widely in a very short timeframe and therefore are not appropriate for all investors. Other than via CFDs, trading cryptoassets is unregulated and therefore is not supervised by any EU regulatory framework. Your capital is at risk.

https://www.etoro.com/blog/market-insights/how-to-avoid-falling-into-a-fomo-trap/

This is a very detailed write up and i was able to learn a thing or two from this post due to the fact that i have been a victim of fomo in the past. Its really sad to be used as a stepping stone to enriching someone's wallet. People fall for fomo because of the alluring benefits/rewards gotten from hitting the right project. My new principle and it works a lot for me. I only buy when others are rushing to sell and sell when others are rushing to buy. Try it and i am certain it will work for you too

Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ?
by
Oyimeelijah
on 14/11/2019, 20:21:04 UTC
What happens if BTC is still rally to 100K ?
ALTS ?? dump to zero
at the moment BTC sideways until end of the year

this time currently the last choice for ALTs
take actions or die..!!!

good luck

Using 2017 as example when btc attained it all time high of $20k, what happened to alts? The good alts all attained a new all time high and dead project disappeared.  So in response to your question, what will happen of btc touches $100k? That means we are all going to be smiling because alts too will be carried along.

Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign
by
Oyimeelijah
on 14/11/2019, 20:11:10 UTC
To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you

I cant promote a project for 12 weeks, i dont have the strength to do so. The most i can do is 8 weeks and even at that i get to skip some weeks. You have done more than most people, it is very normal to rest at 12 weeks, so new hunters can continue the race. An extended bounty campaign in most cases dont always end well. Be wise

Re: Sometimes its wise to Listen to your heart
by
Oyimeelijah
on 13/11/2019, 13:27:09 UTC
Sometimes its always better to listen to your heart, after learning how to do better research on projects i end up listening to few friends because they are the ones that introduce me to bounty hunting not knowing that i have surpass them, every bounties they told me to promote are bad but the ones i choosed myself are
1. Zeux
2. Collectrix
3. Ferrum network

They told me the projects are crap and i believe them,i was so stupid and now all these projects are successful with good trading volumes on exchanges, i have learn a lesson here and that is

No matter the rank of those who were once your teacher you can surpass them, to all newbies and non newbies out there once you learn the basics of crypto you can be unstoppable

No doubt about listening to your heart, to excel in this space (bounty) we need to always pay attention to our hearts. Follow our heart to do the right projects and not promote dead projects. there are so many dead projects out there, infact dead on arrival but most times we fail to see the red flags and ignore the warnings of our hearts until it is too late. We should always learn to trust our hearts.

Re: Good projects/hard to reach softcap
by
Oyimeelijah
on 13/11/2019, 13:20:05 UTC
the above mentioned projects are very good projects and i am very baffled at the fact that they both couldn't attain softcap but then again, even better projects hardly attain softcaps in this space due to the fact that investors have not truly enjoyed the rewards from previous ICOs invested and this has really affected the upcoming projects.
