Hi
i lost all my coins  (over 1M in total) in the online wallet, is there still a way to redeem them with my login details?

im really sad to hear that mate ...

which online wallet? ... we dont promote nor market ANY online wallets currently ...

chainworks industries havent finished the builds of our systems - so we cannot endorse anything we know nothing about ...

unless the owners of that wallet system is willing to give you the funds back - then they are lost ...

if you supply ALL the details - i can do some research and see if there is any recourse to getting any of it back ...

short of that - we can nothing else ...

mine more - they are easy to mine currently and are worth nothing much ... so buying and mining are the only other options ...

if there is no proof of investment and loss - then we cant do much on our side here ...

unfortunately ANYONE can come here and make a statement like this - unless you have the proof to back it ... i cant chase it otherwise ...

Hi dennishh, I am Leo, the original creator of ozziecoin. I spoke to crysx yesterday about your question. As you know I have handed over the project to him. I guess you are talking about the faucet system where you could register, win ozziecoins and keep them online. If this is the one you are talking about we have good news for you. You didn't lose anything. I have all the system backed up and I will work with crysx to put it back online and them you will be able to get your coins back or keep controlling them online if you want.

Hi All,

We are down for a few days but we will back in April.

The project is being handed over to Granite Coin developers and soon Ozziecoin will be back with an upgraded infrastructure, website, etc.

Thank you for all your support.

Regards,

Ozziecoin Developer

Hi guys,

I haven't had time to dedicate to this project.

We need new people to take over the Ozziecoin project.

Please let me know if you are interested.

nice ozziecoin!  btw how many confirms before spending a received coin in qt wallet?

I am not sure why you are asking this. But I have just found that the wallet of the Online Wallet was locked so no transfers could be done from there.

I have just unlocked that and all seems ok now.

That's why the last round of distribution failed last Sunday (15 Nov 2015). The distribution is being done now.

Hi guys!

I have just created a dynamic page with real time statistics about ozziecoin distribution.

Have a look at http://ozziecoin.com/?page_id=1645.

You can see how many claims so far, total mined, total ozziecoins distributed, etc.

how much your share coin per claim in faucet distribution

Hi Mate,

Actually we don't charge any fee from each claim.

The developer group has been allocated 6.9 Millions ozziecoins, comprising 0.03% of the total.

This compares well to other digital currencies that tend to allocate 1% or more to the development team.

So the total pre-mined is: 11.5 billions to be given away + 6.9 Millions to developers.

Hi all. Is this coin active?

Who is in charge here? Need help?

I was about to create a coin to Greece when I found this one.

I have created Ozziecoin for Australia. And I think 50% premine is too much. That was my mistake as well.

If it was something like 3% premined to be distributed in 2 months from now I think this could take off.

Let me know your thoughts.

500 coins for each ozzie?
most aussies know nothing about bitcoin, never mind all the rest of the crapcoins.
$3.30 to get a few coins that are worth less than i pay?
what a rip-off. a txt is anywhere from 10cents to 50cents!

Thanks mate for your very useful post. But:

1) I think rip-off is what governments and central banks are doing to you.
2) You are not oblied to claim ozziecoins.
3) We are giving ozziecoins for free for more than 1 year now.
4) An SMS cost is around 50 cents. But do you think this is the only cost we have? What about servers? What about our time developing it?

Just posting here to see if you are still active there Ozziecoin guys, I have a project launching with clear goals related to listing on the Australian stock exchange, so I thought of you guys. I'm looking at printing up some flyers and handing them out with instructions on how to make a deposit with Bitcoin and then 'redeem a code' that gives them another crypto payment in return. So I'm looking at either creating a new coin or re-purposing an existing one that accomplishes this purpose. It's easy enough for me to include a description of Ozziecoin on the same flyer so people can play around with this for no money out, and then make a better decision about whether to invest in a further crypto, send me a PM or post on the ANN board for TPC to work something out thanks

Yeah, we are still active!!!!! And yeah. This is a great idea. Feel free to include ozziecoin on the flyer so people can have the chance to see how cryptocurrencies work.

im curious ...

where in australia are you? ...

how many developers are actually working on the coin? ...

#crysx

Perth. 1 Developer. Why does it matter?

because im in australia also - adelaide ...

took over a coin myself - granitecoin ...

i think you have a very interesting concept ...

and there arent very many australians that do this Wink ...

it matters because EVERY coin could use some help ...

where do you mine these coins? ... i dont see any pools ...

tanx ...

btw - voted lamb chops for you ... Tongue ...

#crysx

Thanks for the lamb chops Smiley

There is an independent pool. See below:

"widely distributed". How do you plan to achieve this?

Simply register at ozziecoin.com/faucet/default.php and claim your initial 500 OZC. And every 2 weeks 5.04 Millions OZCs are distributed among all registered people. This is exactly the amount of OZCs that can be mined over the same period. So you can mine, you can only register and gain coins and you can do both. Every 2 weeks we have 10.08 millions new coins in circulation.

Hmm strange method for distribution. I see how you don't need a miner anymore to get coins making access to the coins really easy. But how to you get people to sign up for the site? Whats the distribution like? thanks

It's not strange. It's just a way to make it widely distributed. And this distribution will not last forever. After the distribution is finished the only way to get coins is mining.

We have pre-mined 11.5 billions of OZCs to be distributed.

These coins are allocated on the following addresses (so you can audit):
oV5ctFnNZw8JZc6Xw8MSPVAbY8j4sghJR1
oJuEvpBVnweWSRoHeRMzy1S8conadX6iUH
oZF28qd4LpZtfQhDwyN6NzmahrKQfZ8P7W
oaH4nKihobaBRFwnxLaJMBVv3T2QfmfegN
ofeoUq1zJ9y3yLC7ouSEGiLTEfXqmiqctN
oPo45cBNivyRyxurRDntKzrS1srSWyD8M1

You just need an australian mobile number to claim and get the coins.

For your info the block reward is constant and it's 625 OZCs every 2.5 minutes.

That's okay mate.  We didn't do this to make money purely but also to give ordinary people a way to try digital coin technology for free.

It was also fun learning about the tech.  And I'd rather speculators didn't drive the price up and crash it.

BTW: I think you don't realise the tech and IQ gap between tech savvy people such as yourself and the person on the street.

I wonder - why the coin has no value?

Because people are rightfully suspicious of pre-allocated coins, and Ozziecoin is pre-allocated by 50% of total coins.

We are distributing the pre-allocated coins slowly at first, and if the user base grows we will accelerate it.

If the wider public actually starts using crypto and Aussie want to try a free digital coin first, they can use Ozziecoin and have a play before buying bitcoins.

This is also why we tell people not to speculate on Ozziecoins.  We don't want anyone to lose any money.
