These will be comparable to the existing ones on the market. We'd hope to get here a little sooner but didn't beat the competition to it. That being said we're still an alternative if you're unable to get your hands on there's.

300MH/s Hashrate and power consumption comparable to the competition. They will be going for 1.5 BTC each as a prepurchase price and can be ordered in groups of 10 per person. We expect to be shipping them within a month's time though that could be delayed up to two months depending on a few factors (this should not happen).

If you're interested please PM me but as I am dual representing our group here and also working I am very busy so please only serious buyers.

what is the hash rate?

This post "claims" to mine at 300 megahashes per second.  (You can find it in the second paragraph).  Now, why couldn't you do that by yourself I'm wondering?

You might want to look into mining litecoin instead.  The returns on mining with GPUs are diminishing.

I wish that the media frenzy would die down, or else governments will be trying even harder to shut down or "regulate" BTC, ala Napster.

Time will tell if they start some new battles...but I believe BTC will survive.

I also hope for the media to stop giving BTC all this attention.  Their view of it as a "virtual gold" or a bubble is destroying the chance of it becoming widely accepted currency and instead just turning it into another potential commodity investment.

Re: CPU mining question

Don't. CPU mining will get you two things these days: jack and squat. You will make a cent or two per month mining BTC with that CPU. Not a bitcent or two, a USD cent. If you're lucky.  Likewise, nVidia GPUs are not good for mining.

Mining puts stress on components, which increases heat inside the case, which adds yet more stress to the components.  Those slimline PCs are a bitch to keep cool even when you're not doing CPU or GPU intensive operations. I know, I've owned a couple.  Good little entry-level, general purpose PCs, good for browsing, Microsoft Office, watching movies, but not much else. They make an OK DLNP media streamer if you attach some USB hard drives to them.

if you want to use that box for mining, pre-order an ASIC device and run it off that PC. that's the only way that machine will generate any bitcoins for you.

What is an ASIC device? How much are they? Thanks.

An ASIC is an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit.  They are designed to do a specific task efficiently.  In this case, he is talking about a Bitcoin Mining ASIC, which is a device designed specifically to mine BTC.  Their price can vary from a few hundred USD to thousands depending on how much performance you want and how good of a performance to cost ratio you want.

When you look for some new RAM, I'd suggest using the memory-finder tool on Newegg just to be sure they're compatible.  Just enter the mobo model number in and it'll give you a complete list.  Also make sure that your RAM frequency is compatible with the CPU as well as the motherboard, some CPUs will get destroyed if the RAM has too high a speed.

I'm just that guy who hopes one day Bitcoin will be relatively stable and I'll be able to use it as a medium of exchange for almost anything.  The reason I joined this forum is to talk with other people who also have interest in BTC.
