So who here is mining the Pandacoin / Dogecoin multipool?
Around 600 MH scrypt and 600 MH x11, keep it up and lets keep growing!

If you don't own enough PND yet, it's the perfect way to earn some more without having to buy it from exchanges.

I am mining on the X11 port with my humble rig on there.

Right now scrypt mining is still fine for me but I'll be switching over to x11 once that's live and out of beta.

This is the Nth PoS coin which has the same bugs as all the others.

Code:
pandacoin-qt: src/kernel.cpp:365: unsigned int GetStakeModifierChecksum(const CBlockIndex*): Assertion `pindex->pprev || pindex->GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)' failed.
Aborted

Remove txleveldb?

What's that supposed to help? When I start pandacoin-qt again, I get the same assert failed.

Here's another site that might help https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2924.45

Should the dev read this we might see this fixed.

I haven't had that error but that's what I'm reading. It works fine on my end. Has been for the last three versions.

Not sure why the other one was locked?

Because we were compensating people who lost money on the scamcoins which were listed on this forum. We tried to help out some people and apparently that's against the rules.

Pandacoin (PND) has been added towards Coinpayments.net list of supported coins - https://www.coinpayments.net/supported-coins

We are another step closer towards the dev team's vision of having Pandacoin (PND) being used as a widely accepted unit of exchange. This is just the beginning!

Nice.
I'm going to search all the vendors to see if one of them sells a panda hoodie for my girlfriend.
If I get one I will show it here

Can't wait Cheesy

Let me hop on real quick. I read something about adopting real pandas on reddit and I would love helping out, even if it's just a bit. Is there a platform or similar that lets view where my donations are going?

Hey, welcome. The mentioned donation effort is at pnd4pnd.com, there you can choose one among four charities to donate to. There is a page to donate to each - Chengdu reserve, ISIS, WWF and Earthwatch, and in each page there is a link for you to click and see the balance of the donations to this particular charity in the blockchain, you can track your donations there.

Oh I see. Is there any effort that is favorable to donate to at the moment?

I think thats a personal choice. I particularly liked Earthwatch the most, and chose to donate some PND to both Eartchwatch and Chengdu, you can donate at your discretion how much you want and to whoever you want, including all four charities listed. Here is a screenshot to entice others to take a look ~

It looks like Earthwatch (http://pnd4pnd.com/pages/earthwatch/) and ISIS (http://pnd4pnd.com/pages/isis/) could use a little more attention.

On that note, for every unique picture of a panda posted in this thread over the next 24hrs I'll donate 10k to one of the pnd4pnd.com funds. If you want a specific fund to receive the donation, just say so.

I think once I have enough coins I will decide on the right one. Chengdu in particular looks very interesting.

Hope I'm not too late.

Looks like a worthwhile coin. Cool
Which pool are you guys using?

If you're looking to support the regular network (which will cease in about 7 days), you will want to use either thepool.pw, bamboohouse.info or pandapool.info.

If you're looking for profitable oriented mining (ie. more coins), you will want to use our multipool.

Is there a catch? How exactly does that work?

Are you aware of other multipools like multipool.us or wafflepool for instance?

I do not think I have as I have only been using regular pools when I started mining Dogecoin 2 months ago.
What makes this pool so special that it is able to get more coins?

The pool is special in a way that it has various coins on the mining list which will be selected for mining according to profitability on the market and the current hashrate of the pool.

After a certain round time all the coins that have been mined in the previous round will be transferred to an exchange and used to buy the desired coin you wish to mine indirectly, in our case Pandacoin (PND).

If no coin would net you more PND it would just mine PND directly so on average you would be getting more PND out than through normal mining.

Good explanation, thank you. http://multi.pandapool.info is the right URL?
