absolutely impressed with the direction this project development is headed in. it takes a lot of gumption to admit that the early business model was wrong, but things looked much different five years ago when everyone thot ubiquitous crypto-adoption was right around the corner. crypto billings turned out to be a very simple integration and ive already set it up on my own ecommerce store (the leafy cauldron apothecary) as we prepare to open its doors. i honestly prefer crypto payments over paypal considering the issues ive had with that transnational over the years regarding cryptocurrency. what are the plans to improve the number of usable currencies?

ive been working on the development of my own cannabis related blockchain, PUFFScoin, for the last two years. our core focus is dApp development for the cannabis industry and consumer, coupled with a number of ancillary web services that will be integrated into the blockchain where appropriate as the year progresses. we plan on supporting the other cryptocannabis projects that are extant and have active development or communities. this july we will be launching weedEX, a centralized exchange with a specific focus on trading cryptocannabis assets and other "green crypto", and im hoping we'll be able to include DopeCoin (or GROW if the rebrand is finished y then..) there as well as work with the DopeCoin community and developer to construct a bridge between DOPE and PUFFS allowing for cross-chain operability thru token burn contracts.

First things first, I represent a blockchain project focused on the cannabis industry, PUFFScoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5114254), which will be publicly launching on April 20th. We have been developing our approach and ecosystem for about two years, having delayed launching last year within the flurry of ICOs. Much of our philosophy is that community should be larger than a single project. Within the first month of operation we will be launching our own white-label crypto-exchange platform that will focus on providing a trading space for "cryptocannabis" projects as well as other "green crypto". Anyhow, integration with other cryptocannabis projects has always been one of our top priorities, with one of our first priorities being to integrate available merchant solutions for marijuana related altcoins into our online storefront immediately after our own blockchain launches.

POTcoin was one of the first coins I ever bought, nearly 5 years ago... and the original vision was one that I could really sink my teeth into. BUT, in building research for an updated article on cryptocannabis for one of my own project's ancillary services, the reefer*review, i noted that development of POTcoin has all but died out, the developer hasnt been active here since december of last year and his last post here was a year before that. the roadmap of 2016 addressed the idea of transitioning to an ETH-type blockchain, to take advantage of smart contracts governing point of sale integration, product traceability and "seed" tokenization.

These are all similar to projects on the immediate dApp development roadmap for PUFFScoin, which is analgous to ETH, but with Core Development towards solving real issues in the cannabis industry. A project as storied as POTcoin deserves to find some sort of utility. Only 9.5% of circualting coins are presently staking, and over 37.5% of POTcoins minted are sitting dormant on Bittrex where the valuation continues to drop over every timely metric. I dont have any POTcoins, so I dont have any skin in the game, but in the interest of building community relations, and having no active developer to whom to write, I thot I'd simply post here and see what the general mood around the project is.

A transition (or bridged connection thru a smart contract governed 'cross-chain relay') wouldnt be overly difficult, and it would be interesting to integrate POT into a multi-vendor marketplace similar to OpenBazaar. A bridge contract could hold and escrow mainchain POTcoins and release equal or other metric multiples of POT tokens on the PUFFScoin blockchain, burning tokens when they are passed back to the main POTcoin blockchain. After nearly two years of development and platform expansion, we are proud to announce the public launch of the PUFFScoin blockchain for April 20, 2019. We had scheduled to launch at this time last year, but took the extra time to allow for cannabis legislation in our home country of Canada to be codified and enforced, allowing us to operate in a nation with the economy of a legalized recreational cannabis industry. hey evryone, this is abvhiael. weRdna wrote me regarding the current discussions in this group, about the need to re-invigorate this project. the reason i left the development process of this project to marty last year was simply that i couldnt afford to put the time into this project with no renumeration and still be able to keep my family together and functioning. we started SOIL in the era that ANY pre-mine by the developers was a sign of greed and the inevitability of collapse and overall scamminess of the project. that was a mistake. the evolution of cryptocurrency development has proven that out, with many projects having hard-coded development funding built into their basic protocols, ensuring that the people responsible for steering the project could afford to maintain their real-world circumstances and still focus on the project at hand.

for the past year ive been building, with little fanfare, my own ETH-contrived blockchain - PUFFScoin, and still work very closely with the emerging smart contract technology. ive spent the last year learning how to build a currency that can survive, with both industry utility and recreational facility. ive gained proficiency in the nuts and bolts of the blockchain, the architecture of the system, and in my typical fashion, adjusted the core protocols of ETH to provide that the transaction fees for PUFFS no longer go to the miners, but to a community-governed (DAO-administered) fund that, through strategic partnerships with operating dispensaries, will cover the cost of medicinal cannabis to veterans and first responders undergoing cannabis therapy to treat PTSD derived from their employment. we are building dApps to provide decentralized supply chain management systems, and have ancillary services such as our own social network, BONGgoggles. our storefront, which will have crypto integration, is being moved to its own domain this week. i am also working on our 420-friendly dating site and by mid summer will also have a cannabis related vacation rental site (420bnb). we publicly launch the coin on july 1, having a running ICO to raise funds to set up the project hitting the ground running. signal to noise in todays environment, and the number of fraudulent "marketing" groups have made that difficult, but regardless, we've taken the time to build a strong project and yes, we have developers reserves set up to ensure that when the project is on the market, providing access to the applications we are building, and integrated into our storefront/dispensary and other services, that we can focus on our time on the project and not have to seek secondary employment.

one of our plans is to offer a white label exchange solution, which would be cryptocannabis centric, but also maintain support for projects that have a strong philanthropic or universalist reason. id love to get reinvolved with the development of SOIL, theres too much potential in using the EVM for scientific computing processes that will help improve our world, and something like this project NEEDS to exist, to provide a platform for developers to adapt existing smart contract suites to help solve the environmental issues facing this world, especially in the light of the present political climate. so heres the deal... every project needs a strong development group. im willing to come back on board a steering committee, but there has to be community backing, to provide those developing the project full time with the funds to devote the time necessary to the project. building this sort of project is 80 hours a week when one is being lazy about it.

hell, i have the SOILcoin logo tattooed on my body, and am still very proud of what the project was built to accomplish, and sure to my predicition, we approach ive years from launch and the technology needed to provide decentralized science is now evident. others are coming around to what we foresaw years ago, the possibilities of the EVM.... beyond CryptoKitties that is. i can still see where this project needs to go, and the potentiality of the system to provide meaningful utility. but i dont have the sort of computational resources to be competitive mining SOIL, and i cant work for free.

theres a big difference between working on something you love for the love of it, but one cannot devote every daily hour to it and still afford to put food on the table. thats my predicament. if anyone has ideas on how to build a development fund, something that pays out through a DAO for work actually done, then lets get it done.

unfortunately, in the month since we've started the ICO we have had nothing but trouble dealing with the principals of asset rush, who had agreed to come aboard as our escrow and marketing service. they clammed up as soon as we mentioned multi-sig wallets, and even had to explain to them what we meant by that. we chased them around for two weeks, and when one of our other developers took over the chore of trying to get them to start working, they acted as though they had never heard of us. i have a feeling we dodged a bullet of a scam with these guys. two days ago, we received correspondence to remove their name from our post, because we were supposedly "trading in on their reputation for free". well, considering these folks didnt even know what a multi-sig wallet was, offered zero evidnce of marketing they have dont for other projects, im more than happy to distance ourselves from them.

does anyone know what the accurate coin supply for BONGGER is? at 2.5 million indexed blocks, a reward of 210 BGR and an 84 million BGR premine the total would presently be over the announced hard cap. ive read thru the forum and may have missed it, but was there a reward halving or two set at any point? im trying to ascertain the market cap for the project.

much of cryptocurrency is an adaptation. what we are doing is taking what exists and evolving it towards specific use cases for cannabis. while there are several ideas floating around regarding supply chain mechanics, we plan to incentivize it and attach its reports to other applications. yes, similar features exist within other projects, but they do not exist with a specification to serve the cannabis industry. nor do those projects have a cohesive approach to a full-service economy. we have existing relationships with projects we are sponsoring, and beyond the scope of cryptocurrency, this project is a very personal one for us.

many of the ICOs out there are purposefully vague about the scope and details of their projects, which are themselves generally single faceted. they are as equally opaque regarding funds usage. our Genesis Sale is very modest by current ICO standards, and we have a detailed budget as to where those funds would be spent... building utility in every sector. we've been involved in cryptocurrency for several years. we have experience in the development space, success, and failures, and know what works and what doesn't. we are building community through services such as BONGgoggles and the reefer.review, with PUFFbuddies (online dating) and our 420bnb site following along before 4th quarter. the dApps we enumerate on the PUFFScoin website are tested, and we have amended source code where necessary to build the project out with a philanthropic ideal (the proportion of the block reward beneficiary from HER0x being allocated for the HeroGrown project as an example) we aren't promising the moon, but we are promising a consistency of development. We are launching with a low price point because we feel every cryptocurrency project should earn a value, and with the services and applications we will be launching and providing we will earn that.

we do see a problem, not just in the extant blockchain technology, but in the cannabis industry, that these two industries experience and that both have a natural intersection. while we may not offer shiny new baubles, we are presenting this technology with an eye specifically to the cannabis industry, and are approaching providing these services from a myriad of directions. how we're doing this, launching with dispensary integration, the services we already offer and those that we will append to the project in the coming months, hasn't been done in this sort of fashion before. because we CAN offer full internet services to the cannabis industry... the GanjaWeb if you will... we WILL build those out. take our social network for example, in light of the recent news related to Facebook and Cambridge Analytica. BONGgoggles is built to feel like Facebook used to, very simple, but NO ADS, and censorship-resistant. PUFFScoin won't sell your data because we aren't going to collect it. we aren't going to allow fraudulent advertisers to prey upon our users. and in the end, what we will build will be a community and a hub for activity surrounding cannabis online.

there are over a dozen different cannabis-concerned cryptocurrency projects. each has its uses but PUFFScoin will be extremely varied in use. although Paragon is also using the EVM technology to produce smart contracts, they haven't elucidated similar projects to those we list on our website as what we will be releasing in the first 6 months of operation, to varying degrees. because PUFFScoin is an Eth-based blockchain, we possess the same native services offered by ETH, that is Swarm, Whisper, and the Distributed Name Server registrars.
