Has Airdrop season begun?
by
Palazodeen
on 26/01/2024, 12:41:43 UTC
With regards to the distribution  of ALT token claim which began yesterday at 12:00PM with 300 million tokens distributed for the first batch of the Airdrop event valued at approximately $96m at the price of $0.32 per token, there has been excitement as to whether Airdrop season is back as Multi-layer roll-up distributor  Dymension is also planning to launch its mainnet in coming days with 70 million DYM token allocated  for the Airdrop event.

What captivated my interest was the drastic surge in the mcap of ALT after launch. With market cap currently around $365M and FDV of over $3B. It's important to note that only 3% of ALT total supply of 10B token was airdropped with top addresses claiming 1.29M and 1.19M tokens worth $420k and $388k respectively at the price of $0.32.

With the current positive price action, this proves that investors are Keen about the project hence the continuous surge in price since listing. Several top Cex have already  listed the token on their platform leaving me with the question if ALT is worth investing in?

Re: Crypto exchanges 2023 annual report by TokenInsight

ORCA lead the race for Dex with an unbelievable surge towards the end of the year due to the gains in Solana ecosystem.
first time hearing about ORCA. I didn't know an exchange like that existed. maybe because I am not into SOLANA tokens. I should really look into them. I think there are good earning opportunities in SOLANA Tokens.
I thought panecakeswap or uniswap would be in the top because these are the excahgnes most people use.

Although, Binance market share  dropped by 5 5% due to factors related to regulatory compliance and lawsuit against the CEO in November but overall, the exchange was able to maintain its lead unlike what happened in the DEX where GMT and dydx lost the position as top market share holders
I don't think binance will loose top position just because of CEO change or any problem with old CEO. but if new CEO don't do a good job and maintain the quality of services then it is possible that binance would drop this year. they've been listing tokens too fast now.

I also had the same thought until my encounter with the article...looking through the exchange, I discovered that aside the fact that solana gained massively towards the end of last year which increases the exchange market share because it is built on Solana, users can also exchange tokens minimal transaction fee and lower latency than any other dex on Ethereum which accounts for why it has been many users destination of late.

(....)

What are your assessment about the performance of this exchanges, do you see any exchange making any stride to compete with Binance by the end of 2024? Do you think ORCA can also maintain its position in the DEX world?
For me, Binance will stay in top 1 especially if they maintain their company to stay away from any regulation issue especially the SEC USA, which recently Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stepped down as CEO of Binance.

About the DEX, I am surprised with ORCA despite these layer-2 Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) deployed in multiple networks. As long as Solana is on top, ORCA will for sure be useful and able to continue maintain the trading volume.

Binance new CEO needs to work out modalities for the exchange to get back on track in many countries where their services is no longer available otherwise more regulatory compliant cex like Bitget will continue to get a larger share of the market share coming from those region.
As for ORCA,. As long as the exchange continue to offer minimum transaction fee and lower latency compared to ETH, they should be able to maintain that top spot.

Crypto exchanges 2023 annual report by TokenInsight
by
Palazodeen
on 18/01/2024, 22:41:08 UTC

After going through the article released by TokenInsight on the analysis and performances of crypto exchanges in 2023, it's exciting to see that despite the challenges faced in the course of the year, the year was crowned with success as the Q4 of the year brought restoration and confidence to traders and investors.

Highlighting the growth and market share of various cryptocurrency exchanges both CEX and DEX, while Binance remained top for  cex, ORCA lead the race for Dex with an unbelievable surge towards the end of the year due to the gains in Solana ecosystem. Although, Binance market share  dropped by 5 5% due to factors related to regulatory compliance and lawsuit against the CEO in November but overall, the exchange was able to maintain its lead unlike what happened in the DEX where GMT and dydx lost the position as top market share holders

Some exchanges like OKX, Bitget and Bybit also did remarkably well increasing in market share and trading volume making them ranked among the top 6 exchanges.

FTT token was another surprise of the year, with a remarkable growth of 270% in the Q4, FTT lead the exchange token growth followed by Bitget BGB and MEXC MX while CET and HT fell significantly with HT falling by almost 50%.

What are your assessment about the performance of this exchanges, do you see any exchange making any stride to compete with Binance by the end of 2024? Do you think ORCA can also maintain its position in the DEX world?

Re: The Injective Ecosystem: Potential for Boom in 2024?
by
Palazodeen
on 15/01/2024, 20:23:22 UTC
The Injective ecosystem could be gearing up for a potential boom this year. With strong fundamentals and growing adoption, various projects within the ecosystem have caught the attention of crypto enthusiasts.

I think one such project to watch is Moon App, It recently got listed on Bitget and several other exchanges. Moon App presents itself as a unique SuperApp within the Injective ecosystem, combining a launchpad for Injective-focused projects with advanced on-chain trading bots.

While the project boasts features like trade automation, sandwich bots, and non-custodial asset management, further scrutiny is warranted. Evaluating the security of their bot strategies, sustainability of their fee model, and potential for differentiation within the competitive landscape remains crucial.

What are your thoughts on Moon App and the broader Injective ecosystem? Any other promising projects within the ecosystem that deserve attention?

Looking at the features they offer, Moonapp (APP) should be at the forefront as a game changer in Q1 this year, especially since the founder of this project is an ex from various industry leader projects such as Kraken, Binance and DAO Maker. What I'm confused about is, why do they lack enthusiasm? just look at their MC and what ranking they are in now (based on Coinmarketcap).

Since it's a new project, I believe that with time, it will gain strength. The price trend doesn't look promising either, but I think now is the best time to position yourself due to its extensive utilities.

I dont think there is any need to be in a hurry, bitcoin ordinals project like ORDI and SATs took a while before it fully gained massive adoption. lots of project has been bulding on injective ecosystem lately and Moonapp might just be spear-heading them looking at its utility. Good thing is that it is now available on top cex. A very good time to accumulate if you ask me

Re: Web 3 Innovation & Inclusion Challenges?
by
Palazodeen
on 15/01/2024, 19:05:20 UTC
The tide of conversation about Web3 and blockchain keeps rising, and I'm curious to pick your brains about it all. This technology promises to revolutionize everything from finance to identity, but there are still tons of questions swirling around, especially when it comes to inclusivity and sustainability.

For example, the gender gap in funding is a glaring issue in the blockchain space. Like how can we bridge this divide and ensure everyone has a chance to play a role in shaping this future?  And speaking of the future, what do you think are the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Web3 adoption?
Interestingly, there's an event going to happen in Davos called Web3 Hub 2024, which brings together industry leaders and thinkers to tackle these very questions.

So are any of you planning on attending this event? I think we could all learn a ton about Web3 and blockchain from the headliners.

Gender inclusivity has been an advocacy for many highly placed individuals on a global space and seeing the same thing happening in the crypto space is highly commendable. Gracy Chen has always been vocal about women inclusivity in crypto and perhaps this is a good avenue for the information to get a wider audience. looking forward to it

Re: EVERDOME: Orchestrating a new era in the metaverse

The only thing which comes to my mind when I hear NFT or Memecoins or Metaverse is scam. I don't think Metaverse is realistic and it was all the hype and Mark Zuckerberg's view on Metaverse gave it much needed breakthrough but now it has almost disappeared from the market hence this is a thing of past and we should move on with more realistic technology. Lot of people have lost money of meta projects and wouldn't be willing to lose again.

I think it's just a matter of perspective, up till now, some people like Gary Gensler and several individuals still perceive crypto as scam. of course you and i know that's not true. The metaverse is still an evolving space and even people like Elon Musk testify to that, it may not be where it should be right now but it's obviously not scam.

Metaverse is something that has been around for quite some time now there have been lots of projects centered around the concept of a metaverse so it is essential that there is something that makes this project unique to others

It has very attractive features and seems like a well-trusted team so i probably would want to get some airdrops to see and wait if it will succeed

I don't actually know if the project team plans airdropping the token but am optimistic of the project success looking at the teams commitment. I did invest some money in at and seeing that its getting traction since listed on top exchange like bitget, it's just a matter of time before the token becomes a household crypto especially if Binance also list it.

I am quite sceptical about metaverse project because many project talk about is not good.
The only thing I remember thinking about the metaverse that was truly amazing was when the founder of Facebook wanted to create one.
And as long as i know metaverse project in recent years, my view is just scam project

I know so of the Metaverse projects that are impressive with good road map and white paper. I think you need to check other Metaverse projects since you had bad experience with the wrong ones. I'm not trying to confuse you but their are many mataverse projects that are pretty cool and have impressive community and team. I have tested some of their P2E games and they are impressive also.
Sometimes we would have made the worng decisions in the past and that does not mean that Metaverse is not a good option.

That's very true, in as much as their are lots of metaverse projects that aren't up to standard, there quite a good number like ASX, MANA, SAND, MAGIC and many others that were impressive and are not doing too badly atm. I think one just have to get his/her fact right before investing in such project. Looking at DOME features, tokenomics and roadmap, i think the team are serious minded and it could another successful metaverse project however, this is not a financial advise as dyor is essential in this space.

EVERDOME: Orchestrating a new era in the metaverse
by
Palazodeen
on 12/01/2024, 20:32:20 UTC
With web3 and blockchain adoption on the rise giving birth to several crypto assets, one must be careful and do his/her research well to know the kind of assets that will stand the test of time.

Several projects have come and gone but those that have real world use cases continue to impress and gain adoption. It's worthy to note that the desire for metaverse and NFT acquisition has also seen significant boost hence this aspect in one area investors are harnessing and I think it's a sector that one needs to watch out for.

Although not every project can make it to the top but while I was researching, I came across a potential metaverse project called EVERDOME. It's a project that ushers in a new era of human experience by stimulating human interaction, joining the physical and digital worlds through the creation of an enhanced hyper- realistic and immersive environment while simultaneously building the framework for ongoing scalable live in a metaverse native world.

With an amazing fundamentals and tokenomics, the project offers diverse array of features, the native token $DOME is BEP-20 token on the BNB chain. Already gaining popularity and with several cex already scheduled its listing with 48M DOME to be airdroped for both depositors and traders on Bitget, I think EVERDOME is another metaverse project that could stand the test of time but I would love to hear your reactions about the project.

What does arrival of Vugar Usi Zade to Bitget means for the company?
by
Palazodeen
on 12/01/2024, 07:43:48 UTC
In my 11 years of experience as a human resource manager, I am able to tell that recruiting and having more intellectuals in a company or institution can facilitate unprecedented success, reason is that this kind of individuals can see through the eye of the needle the opportunity hidden to most regular people.

The appointment of Gracy Chen as M.D of Bitget is a testament to this fact as the exchange has witnessed remarkable growth and expansion since joining Bitget 1st June, 2022.

I was elated to see that another big brain (Vugar Usi Zade) with expertise in the field of finance, telecom, crypto and other key sectors with over 15 years of experience has now been appointed as the new COO (chief operations officer) of the exchange.

While I have no doubt about the achievement the combination of Gracy Chen and Vugar Usi Zade will bring to the company, do you think the exchange can challenge other CEX to claim the top spot in few years to come?

Re: Heading into 2024 crypto year: what are your hopes and fears?
by

2023 provided lots of mixed feelings especially from Q1-Q3 but the Q4 saw lots of sparkles as investors and traders alike who were hoping BTC could close the year at $35k saw the mother of crypto touch down $44.5k before the close of 2023. For me $SOL and BRC-20 tokens like $ORDI and $SAT gave me the surprise of my life. Am sure am not the only one in this category.

While I was assessing my gains and losses and strategizing on how to navigate through 2024, I came across an article from Gracy Chen, the M.D of Bitget highlighting the challenges and victories of 2023 while expressing her Optimism for the year 2024 especially with the possible approval of the blackrock Bitcoin spot ETF and I share her sentiment that 2024 could be another year for the moon boys.

I feel like going all in with my funds in preparation but am still a bit skeptical of unforseen circumstances, what are your thoughts? Do you think BTC could hit a record high of $100k as predicted by many analysts or one should thread with caution. Share your insights (Edited)

I have same bias about brc20 tokens this year. Let's hope the momentum continues. Can you send the link to gracys article?

Nobody can tell for sure what will happen or of we will break the immense psychological resistance of 100k, but we can talk about hunches or sentiment.

Taking into account the news about incoming ETFs, the halving in the next months, the price action of 2023 and the pattern of cycles that repeat every 4 years approximately, I am quite optimistic for Bitcoin, and I'm almost sure that if Bitcoin takes off, many alts will have an incredible ROI, especially low caps.

We could lose it all too, the future is uncertain by nature, so I would avoid going all-in too, not to get our fingers burnt.

From what i observed yesterday night, I think there is every possibility that BTC would touch $100k or above if the BTC spot ETF is approved, BTC rose to $48k last night after a fake rumor of SEC approval hit the net before retracing back to $45k after it was observed the news was fake. It is now clear to me that the approval will definitely impact the price action but would BTC dip below $20k if it is rejected, that's the question i haven't gotten answer to

I've been using Chipper Cash to manage my Twitter Blue subscription, but honestly, it's been a bit of a ride with lags and frustration. So, I'm on the lookout for suggestions on where to find a smoother option, free from the hassle and lags. Do you have any recommendations or alternatives to Chipper Cash for subscribing to Twitter Blue or other services? Preferably a crypto-backed debit card. I'd love to hear your experiences and insights!

Chipper cash, Klasha and ALAT do have challenges for days and sometimes weeks which is so annoying, I have heard about Bitmama crypto card but never explored it...also recently saw that Bitget has also launched its own crypto backed cards. Perhaps you might check them out

Bitcoin Kickstart January in style
by
Palazodeen
on 02/01/2024, 07:22:37 UTC
In the last quarter of 2023, BTC enjoyed significant gains and analysts projected 2024 as another bull year due to ranging factors of which Bitcoin halving and approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF are most significant.

Blackrock announcement about the approval of the spot ETF over the weekend could be the catalyst that have triggered the market in the first day of year 2024 with BTC and global marketcap up by 6% respectively and currently trading above the $45k mark.

While many are anticipating bullrun to kickstart after the Bitcoin halving, I have a feeling there could be a twist to this year's bullrun as it may not completely depend on the factors listed above. It's also important to note that the US interest rate is on a decline which is a good thing that could drive investors to opt for crypto. What do you think, let's discuss.

binance will lose a lot of its clients from countries like India and Russia. and it might also happen in more countries. The Philippines SEC has already issued a warning Binance will be blocked in the country, you can already tell this is geopolitics and will not be surprised anymore.

Yes. Indian crypto traders received disappointing news recently.  Folks there can no longer utilize the platform to buy, sell or trade digital assets.  Instead they must withdraw any funds stored on Binance.  This creates headaches for Indian crypto enthusiasts who relied on its services.  However, Binance still runs in most places worldwide and  the company tries to fully comply with laws across different countries.  So this Indian closure seems isolated, rather than signalling wider troubles for Binance.

Binance makes the transaction on P2P very easy for local currency trading. we will be registering to another exchange if they are blocked. India has Wazirix. each country has its local exchanges, that's where we all are going to be. Government-backed exchanges.

Are there no other top exchanges that are regulatory compliant that are operational in Indian? I don't think only Wazirix can cater for the millions of users who have been using Binance.

I don't see this signaling trouble for Binance but at the same time its a heavy blow to millions of Indians who depend heavily on the exchange. My problem with Binance has always been one: Avoiding regulations and if it persist, it will eventually have a ripple effect on them. With most government ensuring strict regulations of crypto, cryptocurrency exchange that are regulatory compliant will be the destination of many users coz not everyone like to be tossed to and fro.

This does not call for worries cos Bitcoin and cryptocurrency was originally designed to operate without government hence, it's decentralized. I see this action as another usual regulatory policies biting hard on some exchanges but it obviously would not have effect on trading crypto. Our fellow Indians still have some decent top exchanges to explore. The likes of Wazirix and particularly Bitget which seams to be complying with government could be decent option due to their liquidity for top and low cap cryptos.

Bitget is operational in Indian?
