Re: Advice for Bounty participants

Nice logic you've got there.

It usually happens when you are not expecting to work well but the rewards are pretty good in return. If you have passion and really love what you are doing, you'll never get tired of it. But with bounties, it's different you'll likely to get tired of it because of too many scams.
Even in bounties, we would not fell tired if we have our own goals and objectives to achieve. If we were scammed on one bounty then move on and look for another bounty hoping that it would give you another chance of achieving your goal.

Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019?
by
Pamahaw
on 25/12/2018, 01:51:47 UTC
2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.
You know what, change is the only permanent thing in this world and that is true as well here in cryptocurrency. Expect change next year, it maybe for the better or even worse than this year. In crypto, we are only speculating and whenever we are successful in that then value's change and we could take our profit. So, let us continue hyping and speculating and hope for the best next year.

Re: Do you regret it not selling at peaked on last jan 2018 ?
by

on 25/12/2018, 01:17:24 UTC
sorry there must be, because at that time the expectation was that it would definitely rise even higher, but the reality was that it even fell in mid-2018. now it's too late to sell, now it has to be hodl.
Speculation and hype really drives the price high and we never know what really is the peak at that time. So basically we should have used stop loss in order to minimize the lose or maybe take some profit whenever the price drops drastically.

, their value is pegged to a certain value by their issuers, instead of leaving the market decide.

Doesn't the market decide the moment they are listed with an exchange?
There are those tokens that let the market decides on it's value but most of it is manipulated by it's issuers. How do they do it is inside job i think. They manipulate the value to make it appealing to future investors.

Now my strategy is very strange. I try to watch the market and do things that can bring me good profits in the future.
What's strange with your strategy bud? That is what's we are here for, profit and whatever strategy you have as long as it will give you profit then it is a good strategy.

Re: 55K loss, how to get back into the game

This is why you should always use stop loss, you would not have incurred such losses.
We can't feel the value of a stop loss until we experienced loses. Experience always taught us the value of that feature and personally i am using it to avoid further lose on my portfolio.

Re: Trading Platform with Technical Indicators
by

on 24/12/2018, 05:18:16 UTC
Can anyone recommend a cryptocurrency trading platform that allows traders to use technical analysis in details. Enabling one to use tools like trend lines and other indicators.
Every exchange platform had graphs and trend lines but you have to do the analysis on what to do next as it don't do decisions for us. Bottom line is we have to interpret it ourselves either we buy or we sell. Good if we have inside connections that will tell us what coin would pump but i guess it is a myth.

Folks, what a terrible year 2018 has been so far. I invested around 60K and now left with 5K. I did terrible mistakes and I hope there would be a turnaround sometime next year or so. Any suggestions?
Have experienced the same but i don't lose hope as things are getting green these days so i am hoping that there could be a big turn around next year and recover our loses that we incur. I am holding, that is what i have on my mind.

Re: Ethereum is the king

Hello everyone,

Eth has shown that it is the king of altcoins and for everyone that invested when it dropped to 83$ kudos because you made the right move.
It maybe the king of altcoin but nothing has changed on it's platform and we are far from recovery still. Right move to those who invested on ether while it is on the dip but how about those who have invested while it's price was at 1k USD? We are still far from recovery though it is nice to see green colored chart this holiday season.

Re: Wallet hacking is it possible?
by
Pamahaw
on 20/12/2018, 06:17:16 UTC
That can happen, the majority happens because of their own carelessness. Teledor in putting down wallet storage data, cannot keep wallet privacy data from people around. Careless in using the internet so that it provides a gap for hackers to be able to browse wallet data. Everything that smells online is quite risky, so be as careful as possible in accessing the site.
What could be the possible modus hackers are doing to invade your wallet? For me it is for the user that got into a phishing websites that get out private address unknowingly. So we got to be very careful on not to fall into a trap and if possible spread your wealth in case to fell victim to scammers, there is something left and not all are gone.

Re: Why do lot of people hate bounty dumpers?
by
Pamahaw
on 20/12/2018, 04:52:43 UTC
Bounty hunters has this habit of dumping and move on to ETH or btc or even other alts that they believe in as the new project are yet to be tested for best in the market but now we are facing a down time in the whole market which really have much effect than dump and even if the hunters don't dump the price will also dump but the believe of people see hunters as the major problem in market but to me there is more to that .
It this maybe true, it is not only the bounty hunters that were dumping in my opinion. Bounty allocation is just a small percentage that it could not affect the price of the token even when dumped all. It is the community of that said token is dumping possibly investors or the team itself as they have the bulk of the supply.

From $1.5 to $4, it's time to consider this currency
It is not only Waves that is on the rise now, you could also see a positive trend on EOS and i think this is now the result of people avoiding the ethereum platform.

Re: Don't Believe The Trading Volumes On Most Exchanges
by
Pamahaw
on 20/12/2018, 02:35:39 UTC
It would seem that "Wash Trading" is a much bigger problem than originally thought. Wash Trading is the buying and selling of coins by bots on the exchange to artificially create volume and the perception of liquidity. A new study shows that only 3 of the Top 25 exchanges trading Bitcoin according to CoinMarketCap are actually presenting true figures. https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-claims-over-80-percent-of-top-25-btc-trading-pair-volumes-on-cmc-are-wash-traded
As a part time trader i also sense that there are bots trading on some exchanges and it is really frustrating for me. That is why i move to Binance to test my skills on trading sans the bots and i am glad that Binance is one of those exchanges that don't do wash trading.

Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins!
by

Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins.
You might be doing good to save what is left on your portfolio but as nobody can't predict really on what is going to happen in the future, you might as well missed out the opportunity if crypto will recover soon. There are always two sides of the coin and all we could do is hope that we are on the safe side of it.

Hodl in bull market and trade in bear market, it is the simple key to success.
Could you elaborate more on how this can be done? It would be helpful on the community if someone advises how someone could earn even in this bearish market. People in the community is already tired on losing money.

Example of real advice: I wouldn't sell right now, but there doesn't seem to be much hope for Bitcoin in the near future, keep that in mind.
This is advice for me seems to be very negative and it might lead to a person selling his crypto. It would be pessimistic to say that there doesn't seem to be much hope for bitcoin and the impact of this to seeking advice is not good. We have a different strategy on how to deal with our crypto and as long as you earn profit from it then it is good for you.

This is very true, crypto trading is not for newbie. It is for someone that understands and know how to work around with crypto. Most likely newbies will lose money if he enter the world of trading. Even if it is a bearish market we can still earn if we know how to deal with it.

Re: I have to invest in bitcoin or ethereum.

I see that BTC and ETH are two coins that have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap.
But I don't know why Bitcoin is still up and ETH always maintains current prices.
Why did that happen? And now, I have to invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum?
thank you
For now, BTC and XRP are the two which have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap while ETH slipped to third. Bitcoin has a lot of investors in it so it is safer to invest on BTC if you want.

Which perks and features should one look for in a wallet?

Thanks in advance
Safe to use of course and then the mobility. You should access it wherever you are with the use of your mobile phone. For erc20 tokens and ether i use MEW and Trust wallet, so far got no problem using them.

Re: It's a bear market. Are you ready to go full time?

Pero if i would have my way, i would not recommend it to go full time on crypto.
