It appears to permit signing up, but the AV site is a little confusing in terms of confirming acceptance of registering for the AirDrop.

Very helpful thread.  The scam is still making the rounds, unfortunately, as of January 2, 2018.  The old axiom about something appearing too good to be true appears to be applicable here.  Many thanks for all who shared insights.
