Re: When can someone say they have won the casino?
by

on 12/07/2025, 15:20:15 UTC
Some people can win a huge amount as jackpota but yet the amount that they won can not be compared to how much money they have lost in entire life while gambling, can you say such person has won the casino because they won a jackpot?

When someone win a jackpot at a casino, with a substantial amount, I'm sure they've won at the casino. There is no need to calculate how much they've spent during their gambling period. I'm sure gamblers wouldn't care too much about it.
Some gamblers may be overly careful about calculating their deposits and comparing them to their winnings. But if you're always counting, you might never enjoy your winnings, even if you win a large jackpot.

The fact that Bayern Munich failed to score a goal against PSG when PSG was 2 men down shouldn't make you deny the fact that Bayern Munich was better than Real Madrid against PSG. If you watched the Bayern Munich and PSG game, you would know that Bayern Munich dominated PSG and made PSG look like a weak team. The only crime Bayern Munich committed in that game was not making use of their chances, and they allowed PSG to beat them. Since this season, I believe no club has ever dominated PSG the way Bayern Munich did, so I think yudi09 is correct when he says Bayern Munich was better than Real Madrid against PSG.

Yes, in terms of performance in that match, Munich did show a better game than what Madrid showed when facing PSG. Besides dominating and putting enough pressure on PSG players, Munich actually had several chances, but their finishing was not good enough. Very different from what Madrid showed. They only had a few chances, even in terms of ball possession, they were far from PSG. In terms of performance, Munich performed better than Madrid when facing PSG.

When PSG performed poorly in the Champions League, they performed well in their local leagues. Now that they are performing well in the Club World Cup and the Champions League, they have nothing to worry about in their local leagues. The other teams in the local leagues are quite weak compared to PSG, and because of their poor performance, PSG has won the title without any problems every season. We have seen this consistently for the last few seasons, PSG is dominating the league and they will continue to do so in the coming seasons. Since the performance of this team is the best now, this team will be a difficult obstacle for any opponent in the coming season and it will be very difficult for every team to overcome this obstacle.

If the teams in Ligue 1 remain as they have always been, meaning they haven't made many changes to their performances, then PSG shouldn't face excessive pressure. They'll be fine and have nothing to worry about going into the new season. They can still dominate. Moreover, PSG are just one match away from winning another trophy. I think this season will be an extraordinary achievement for PSG.

We still don't know the situation for the new season, but from what we've seen regarding transfers and team preparation, neither team is likely to see much change. On the other hand, Napoli looks set to be even stronger for the new season. They've made several transfers, and I'm sure they'll strengthen their performance. Napoli likely has bigger goals for the new season than just the Serie A trophy. They're certainly preparing for a major competition like the Champions League, which is very competitive.

Last season, Napoli failed to qualify for the Champions League, and this season they will once again represent Serie A in the most prestigious competition. And of course, Napoli and Antonio Conte won't waste this opportunity. As you mentioned, Napoli has big plans: to conquer Europe again.

The Champions League will certainly be a tough battle for Napoli, but their moves in the transfer market demonstrate their seriousness in preparing for the tougher competition. Meanwhile, in Serie A, I still believe they can perform well. The season hasn't even started yet, but I'm confident they can perform well in the new season . Rival teams may also improve their performances, but several teams are also going through transitions with managers and players coming and going.

As I recall, the requirement to claim the drop bonus was to have a minimum total wager of $10,000 for a $5-$10 bonus. For a $25 bonus, a minimum total wager of around $50,000 was required.

But I doubt things will change, and perhaps Stake will increase the minimum wagering requirements. 😆

Minimum wagering requirements will vary depending on the bonus value. Currently, most bonuses are $3 with a $12,000 wagering requirement. Slightly higher bonus values will require higher minimum wagering requirements.
They drop more bonuses, but the value and minimum requirements do increase.

Re: BTC ATH: A road to $150k?

Bitcoin has finally reached its ATH once again, what next should be the question we should be asking ourselves? Is it a great direction to $150k or just another way to create FOMO and made some future guys get wipe out?

Of course, Bitcoin's current price growth is positive. After reaching a new all time high, we can see the price not immediately dropping, and the $150k price target may be reached, but not this month.
We can see Bitcoin currently at $117k, after previously surging to $118k. It wouldn't be a problem to reach $120k shortly, but perhaps, as before, we'll see the price stabilize relatively stable around the current price range before reaching a new all time high again.

Re: Betting on the impossible
by

I think the situation is surprising and unexpected. In sports betting like soccer, we might pick a player who scores a goal or bet on a complete underdog against a strong team.
I've made several such bets, and it's rare to achieve a surprise win by relying solely on luck. Yes, such bets can be won simply by relying on luck, or by a bettor who can truly predict the future.
Yes, but by doing so we increase our risk, and I would not like luck to be the main factor on which my bets are based. I prefer more thorough analysis and a constant search for the best strategy. Of course, I may never find it, but I would rather try than not do it at all and enjoy the process. All this is what I like about betting, it is more than a hobby for me and I am even ready to lose money sometimes, but I do not get upset, because I understand that losses are part of the game. But if a player does not know how to lose, that can become a real problem.

If you don't mind losing money, you might occasionally try placing a bet on an unlikely or rare outcome. If you lose, it won't matter much to you. But if you're lucky, you might get a pleasant surprise, as such bets often have good odds.
The risk is obviously increased, and such bets can't be made consistently. If you're just betting for fun, you can bet small amounts on fun options.

Re: See No gambling Hear no gambling Talk No gambling for strict regulation?

Do you think seeing no gambling, hearing no gambling, and talking no gambling, not even a mention of a gambling site, will decrease addiction? Is it a good resolution?

The restrictions imposed are not necessarily successful. Those who make the rules should also learn from countries that clearly implement gambling prohibition laws. Whether their gambling addiction rates are successfully suppressed or whether they continue to increase remains to be seen.
However, these innovations can still be implemented. Try restricting advertising and imposing sanctions on influencers and media outlets that promote gambling. The results will be seen over time to determine whether they are effective.

This got me thinking how sometimes betting on the impossible could give you insane benefits. I know this will not happen all the time but those who had chosen to bet on Hulkenberg that day for fun got insanely lucky and won big.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
by

I actually disagree with this view, because Liverpool won the Premier League title but were eliminated early in the Champions League. It's not true to say that a team that succeeds in the Premier League will definitely succeed in the Champions League. Similarly, remember that Chelsea didn't finish well in the Premier League the year they won the Champions League. Therefore, while the Premier League is very important, it wouldn't be right to judge it directly based on their performance in the Champions League. The two competitions are completely different. In fact, I think the Premier League is more difficult, but the atmosphere in the Champions League is much different, and the teams play there differently.

The Champions League certainly presents a different level of tension than European domestic leagues. Teams that dominate and succeed in their domestic leagues don't necessarily achieve success in the Champions League. I think this applies to all teams representing their domestic leagues. It's not just the Premier League that's highly competitive. Even PSG, which has dominated Ligue 1 for several seasons, has struggled to win the Champions League.

With Napoli and Inter Milan as two best candidates for Scudetto next season, it makes sense because they have best player resources in Serie A. It's only uncertain about Inter Milan performances as they lost Simone Inzaghi and assigned a very young and inexperienced coach Chivu to replace Inzaghi. If we talk about that with Inter Milan, we must mention similar issue at Juventus with Tudor.

It's surprising that AS Roma and Atalanta have very different odds by changes in their head coach positions, with Gasperini moved from Atalanta to Roma this summer. I truly think both AS Roma and AC Milan will not be able to win Scudetto in a new season.

We still don't know the situation for the new season, but from what we've seen regarding transfers and team preparation, neither team is likely to see much change. On the other hand, Napoli looks set to be even stronger for the new season. They've made several transfers, and I'm sure they'll strengthen their performance. PSG has always been an aggressive team. When they have scored 3+ goals already, they now go on full defense to not let the opponent have a chance.
If we look into the recent season in French and English league, the difference is starling. Unlike English Premier League, the Ligue 1 just have 34 games. In those 34 games, PSG conceded 92 goals. While the winning team of Liverpool in 38 match conceded 86 goals. While for Chelsea it was 64 goals.
There could be reasoning that Ligue 1 has less competition than Premier League, but what I want to justify is Ligue 1 is more aggressive than Premier League.

The fact that PSG consistently dominates Ligue 1 means they don't have enough strong teams to challenge them. If Ligue 1 teams were as strong as PSG, they might not be as aggressive.
They will face Chelsea in the final. It would be an extraordinary achievement if PSG could win the Club World Cup. This achievement would complete their season's achievements.

Re: Am I a bad father for letting my daughter gamble?
by

on 10/07/2025, 15:16:07 UTC
Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.

I think that if gambling is commonplace in your community, it's not a problem for your daughter to gamble. Even if she doesn't gamble because you're a gambler, she might gamble because of the influence of her friends, especially if she doesn't hide it from you. However, you need to prepare your child mentally to avoid addiction. Especially if your child eventually earns her own living expenses, you must teach her properly.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25

on 10/07/2025, 14:53:01 UTC
Actually, there is not much to panic about concerning this Real Madrid dilemma because it is only obvious that the issue here is just about the end of an era which is the case, I think the Spanish side has dominated European football for quite a long time now and at such other clubs would have developed capacity all these years but what I expect Xabi Alonso to do right now is to try and see how he would impact on the players mentality because the entire team seem to having some sort of psychological issues as a result of last season's encounters against Barcelona, Arsenal, the injuries, and the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.

I think everyone is ready to start a new era. Xabi and the Madrid players certainly haven't performed at their best, but they have time to adjust. Last season wasn't great for Madrid, but perhaps they had high hopes for the Club World Cup. There were reports that the club management would offer the players large bonuses if they won the trophy. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to receive them.
Xabi must prepare for next season. The competition will certainly be tough, but he has players he can rely on. Madrid has never been short of talent.

just shows how gambling will always exist anywhere

Yes, gambling is everywhere, even in remote places like prisons. This is especially true for those imprisoned for gambling. In some countries where gambling is illegal, those caught gambling can be imprisoned. I don't think prisons are as strict as we imagine. They can still gamble, even if the stakes are a pack of cigarettes or anything else; even those in prison can do that.

If you gamble it is of your interest and that of your spouse, you both need to share same orientation about gambling or given a chance to understand and respect the other person gambling choice and if they won’t then either they go or you reconsider your choice. Why should an adult keep their gambling choice away from their lover that’s deceit to me. Gambling is not a dirty secret.

Gambling is certainly a choice for everyone, and it's not a dirty act. However, in certain circles, some people consider gambling to be very bad, and some people won't tolerate gambling for any reason. If your partner is like that, you certainly know what to do.
There's nothing wrong with adults gambling, what's wrong is perhaps when the gambler is in an environment that isn't appropriate for disclosing their gambling.

Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions

Basically Galatasaray would convince Liverpool instead of Napoli Cheesy Like not even pay Napoli, just pay Liverpool, and get Nunez to Napoli and Osimhen to themselves that way lol. Because we all know, whatever Galatasaray pays, will go to Nunez probably, maybe a bit more money could be left.

Last I saw from twitter, it's 5 year deal for 75 million, which would be 15 million a year, not a lot of money at all, definitely could be paid by Galatasaray considering it is not 75 million suddenly, just 15 upfront, and next 15 is next year, so it's fine. With that kind of payment deal, they can get him. Also, Liverpool could end up doing this fine as well, doesn't feel like it would be that bad, both of the situation a lot better for all three teams.
Your scenario only happen if Liverpool keen in accepting installments, but they also wanted direct cash like Napoli. So that scenario most unlikely to happen. Five year installments is very long in football. I don't think Liverpool is keen in accepting that long term agreement.

Installment payments for player purchases are common, but a five-year term might be too long. If Napoli is interested in Nunez, I think Liverpool will reach an agreement directly with them.
They are savvy businessmen, and they know which offers will be profitable and which will also be detrimental. I won't say this scenario is impossible, but it's difficult to achieve.

In fact, the government must have implemented regulations for illegal gambling activities. These regulations can ensnare both gamblers and gambling providers. However, oversight of these regulations only applies to those reported or caught. If no one reports anything, everything will be fine for those who want to access it.
I also live in a country that prohibits gambling practices, but I can still access it as usual. It's just that we have to be more careful when it comes to the transactions we use. And I suspect some gamblers in illegal locations also understand how to play.
Do you know that government can't ban  a gambling, because government is benefiting in the gambling, most of the legal gambling platforms or websites do pay tax, and those ones that pays tax to government, you will see that they will not counts gambling centres as one the one they will ban, if any country government want to ban a gambling website it should a gambling website that is operating legally, but some of the gambling website that is operating illegally and they are not paying tax, such gambling should be ban, some people have joy for participating in the gambling

If you live in a country where gambling is legal, the government's main enemy is banning illegal gambling sites, which are inherently unprofitable. However, if you live in a country where gambling is prohibited, it's not that you can't access gambling; you just have to do it in secret.
The government can't control all illegal gambling sites, even though it knows that if the government regulated gambling taxes, it could certainly profit from this industry. However, if a country has laws prohibiting gambling, it can't do anything. All they can do is crack down on known gambling. There may be many more that go undetected.

Re: Offline gambling!

A week ago, I also experienced a loss after previously winning several poker games with my friends. I visited my hometown when I was a child and met my friends, who then invited me to play poker. I didn't mind because I had gambled with them several times when I returned. However, this time I should have won some, but ended up losing. When I wanted to end the game, my friends wouldn't let me and asked me to continue for a few more sessions. Like you, it ended badly for me too.
When you're winning, it's hard to resist continuing.

Sometimes when you're winning at gambling, even if you want to quit, you still can't because you feel ashamed of your opponents, right?

So you think that you don't want them to say anything bad about you, so even though it's against your will, you just continue gambling with them until you see that you've lost in the end.

Yes, that's the difficulty with offline gambling, especially when we play with friends we know. What happens is, when the losing friend feels like they've had enough, they can stop gambling. But if they have a serious enough addiction, they always have money to continue playing. That's why I always carry a limited amount of money and think of it as a way to reunite with friends. The game is never tense, and it's filled with laughs.

Re: ⚽ Premier League 2024/2025 Discussion Thread ⚽
by
Pandu Geddon
on 09/07/2025, 16:21:40 UTC
The English premier league is a competitive league right from when i started watching football it's not a league that one team keep winning all the time just like German Bundesliga where Bayern Munich keep winning the tittle, and before the beginning of any season people already know that the tittle belongs to Bayern Munich but in the English premier league it's not certain on which team will win the tittle it could be Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea or Liverpool there was also a season Leicester city surprised the world by Winning the English premier league tittle, so any team can win it here.

I believe this season will be tough more competitive most team has strengthen their team by adding some quality players, Manchester City will fight to win it this season since they perform poorly last season, Arsenal will also want to win it same thing to Chelsea.

At the start of last season, we saw Nottingham Forest also surprise with what I thought was a very good performance. Unfortunately, they weren't consistent enough towards the end of the season. The Premier League is indeed unpredictable, but I'm sure the strong teams will compete again. Arsenal might return to their best form. I'm not so sure about Man City, but hopefully they'll improve.
All teams naturally make improvements for the new season. But whoever can be consistent throughout the season will win the trophy.
