Re: Sell your house for investment in btc.

I have a small appartment, but I don't want to sell it to buy some BTC. As for me better way to earn some BTC is mining, I already have a couple of antminers and want to buy a couple next year

Don't you afraid that BTC price is too volatile and mining is no more as profitable as it was? My friend bought altcoins instead of mining and make much more money that mining allows to earn Smiley

Re: Damn fees!

I was telling my friends about bitcoin for almost a year and they decided to enter crypto world and buy some bitcoins.
Not much, 50-100$ worth bitcoins just to start with it and to see how it works.
But here is problem - if they buy bitcoins for 100$ they will get that minus 25-30$ fee and they will pay fee for next transaction, so their 100$ worth bitcoins will become 40$ worth bitcoins. How to explain them this??

Is this really what bitcoin become? Currency used for miners so they can earn more money?

It's bitcoin holders reality. Wanted to buy — pay fees, sell — pay fees. You can't but bitcoin on $ 10-25, because it's silly... Fees amount is too high for little transactions.

So, what is the problem. If you believe nobody, no one know about your digital actives. We will see coins of dead person in blockchain, but can't use it.

Solution of problem is the last will. You should bequeath your coins to friends and relatives. In another case, the BTC coins will be lost forever.

Re: what will happen to banks?

If botcoin really replace paper money, bank will be useless, we don't to use bank anymore if its happen. Government wil always protect their national currency so probably it wil not happen.

It seems to be difficult to replace the banks, if the use of bitcoin is massive and beat fiat then banks will accept bitcoin as a type of savings or commodities such as mutual funds.
Nothing will happen to bank. Some  people are thinking that bitcoin will disappear bitcoin but according to me it is not possible to disappear bank because with out bank system countries are unable to do business with other countries yes I was agree with that bitcoin will reduce users of banks.
Lol, that’s funny, BITCOIN doesn’t stand a chance against banks. Banks are being run by the government. So putting Bitcoin up against banks is like putting it up against the government, and they will just destroy Bitcoin at once and everyone into Bitcoin will just make loss. And also, Bitcoin can’t reduce the number of people that are using banks.

I believe about 99% or 98% of the people in the world doesn’t make use of Bitcoin. If Bitcoin has 10 million users, I believe 9.8 million out of the 10 million are using banks and are just here to make profits. Only a fool will withdraw all he has and invest them all into Bitcoin.

I agree with your point of view. How bitcoin can decrease number of banks clients if to buy BTC you need money. How to transfer money on exchange platforms without current banks and payment systems? It is impossible.
Also, you are right. I read info about number of bitcoin users and less than 1 percent people use bitcoin or crypto.

Bitcoin should pass complex and long path for popularization before we can tell aboyt "bitcoin against banks and government".

Re: Should we support altcoins ?

From a "lets make the world a better place perspective" should we support only bitcoin right now or altcoins also?

Who is 'we'?

If you want to miss out on opportunities that currently undervalued alt coins present, sure, don't buy them, buy them later when they are more expensive Smiley That doesn't say all alt coins are ok to buy. Do your own research and due diligence.

Or you can lose all your money, can't you? Investment in bitcoin is risky deal, and what we can say about altcoins?

Re: Cryptocurrency regulation - pls explain

1. Regulation means that government want to controll exchange platforms and their users, as I understand. Also government want to get tax from bitcoin holders (it is different in all contries).
2. Because market is full of scamers. Look at the count of ICO project, amd 90% of it is scam. Their founders only collect money and do  nothing else.
3. Yes, it is about ICO and tokens politics. For example, in US all each projects are analysing by SEC and they dicede its mature (shares, bonds, ets)
4. Investors work on regulated marked, so they have more security and freedom. regulators also help investor to deposit only in real projects (if we are talking about ICO).
