IMO, the failure of monetary system is the Fiat printed by the centralized banks which is why the Rich gets richer and the Poor gets poorer because they are the one who governed or manipulated it just the way they did to Crypto-currency market nowadays! They are just toying the price for their own gains to make them richer and seems they don't care about this decentralized technology!  Roll Eyes
That is the point friend. He only proved how desperate he was with that statement. Bitcoin has the potential to end with this slavery system, that's why is a "failure" in his view.

I read about this hypothesis by the end of 2017 when bitcoin start to fall, and i'm sure of one thing: if the so called establishment, banks or the state find threatened by some currency, digital or not, actions will be taken in order to supress it. And like mentioned, its just print some more billions.

Re: Generations of cryptocurrency: the future
by
ParadoxXx
on 03/07/2018, 17:19:34 UTC
Are we yet ready for the future of new cryptocurrency?
If you're meaning a cashless society, probably not, but we're on the right way for that. Such a change would take years, even decades. It's necessary to break some paradigms first, then a entire reformulation in the infrastrutcture and the transaction systems.

At first glance it does not seem like a good news. Microsoft already has a unhealthy control over the market share and all the data collected.

Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business?
by

It's already helped, and a lot. For instance, look at the ICOs fever, started in 2016 (if i'm not mistaken) and countless projects have been successful. The digitalization and automation of transactions systems is another feature that could simplify the process and cut some expenses.

Bitcoin is revolutionary, anyone can be their own bank, and they certainly will treat their money better. That's a good start for a change in the economy in a global scale.

Re: Bad news for Bitcoin
by

If the opinion of Robert Schiller is seriously taken into account by investors from around the world, it is simply because he was the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2013. But when it comes to talking about Bitcoin, man does not chew his words. He is not seized by the craze that surrounds crypto-currencies for several months now.
Mr Schiller believes that Bitcoin is a speculative bubble that will end up exploding, even if in itself this virtual currency should not disappear.
Unlike all the fud created by huge companies, like J.P Morgan, the statements of this guy is relevant. But on the other hand, bitcoin and blockchain are still embryonic projects and a different economic model, surely harder to predicted.

Re: Can Blockchain technology curb corruption in our financial institutions?
by
ParadoxXx
on 03/07/2018, 13:42:56 UTC
If the spoilers are the ones who run our financial institutions, they will not accept the Blockchain technology.
The blockchain is nothing more than a tool to show corruption and trace it, but if no system punishes spoilers, it will be useless.
So in the developing countries, I do not expect that the blockchain will have the expected benefit, but it will be useful in countries that fight corruption and seek to punish the spoilers.
The Blockchain could be a game changer against the corruption. That's why some governments want the blockchain and bitcoin far away from their countries.

Bitcoin is not "disrupting the economy" it's just making it harder to your country tax you.
Not much on this forum makes a hell of a lot of sense.  "Disrupting the economy" sounds like those clickbait links that you see at the end of trendy listicles, like "This one cryptocurrency is disrupting a $10 trillion industry!".  It's a buzz phrase, and I tune those out as soon as I see them.
Indeed. Even for a clickcbait, this claim sounds outrageous.Like you said, the best thing to do is to brush aside the unnecessary FUD, but this always will be harder for th new/future users, and i'm sure this keep a lot of people scared and away from the bitcoin. Misinformation is a huge problem in this market.

at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.
Do you think that bitcoin will disrupt economic stability and there will be inflation due to bitcoin in a country?
How have you been able to find a relationship between bitcoin and the inflation of a country? Makes no sense.
Bitcoin is not "disrupting the economy" it's just making it harder to your country tax you.

In this case, the government will probably tax you through bitcoin. For instance, in japan you already can pay bills and federal taxes using bitcoins.

Re: Is legalized marijuana good for the economy?? US Citizens might talk here..
by
ParadoxXx
on 03/07/2018, 01:30:50 UTC
The legalization of marijuana has brought in millions (maybe billions?) in tax revenue to those states that have allowed it. Just imagine what each state and even the federal government could do with such extra money. Rather than wasting millions in tax money on a fight that can't be won ,right??

Or maybe you guys got another opinions??
War has never been meaningless for governments because they know this is the best way to become more prominent and have a say in the world. In particular, the war would be a gold mine because the government could sell weapons for a fight at a high price.
I could not agree more with you. The war on drugs is a business, some people are profiting a lot with it, and that's only the major reason that we won't see legalization in some places at least for a long time.

Nowadays the banks rule the entire world, and say that they are dying seems a bit hasty. They are already adapted to this new reality, and i hope they can stay away from at least some part of the cryptocurrencies.

Re: Legal guns to protect from government = bitcoin to protect from banks?
by
ParadoxXx
on 02/07/2018, 23:06:10 UTC
In US guns where legalized for the primary purpose of people protect against oppressive governments. Brilliant idea.

Is Bitcoin the same thing against FIAT? No doubt FIAT is oppressive (just read some basic economics).
I think you're wrong. Some governments allow citizens to have guns because they can't protect everyone from street crime. No one is allowed to have weapons to defend against a repressive government. Moreover, the more repressive the government, the less it values human life and therefore weapons are banned in such countries. No government wants to deprive itself of the right to influence all citizens through Fiat.
Indeed, one of the purpose is to  defend from they own government. But i agree with you, repressive governments don't allow their citizens to have weapons
