McAfee is definitely the bigger name. He has so much influence in the world that a niche branch pundit like Palm Beach Confidential can't compete with.

Re: What about 2018 ICOs
by
Paradoxall
on 24/12/2017, 23:55:37 UTC
I think there are just enough projects out there already. Every next one that comes seems like a copycat of something already done. Plus, the first projects will start to deliver now and have huge advantage over the newcomers. I will be watching only new tech ICOs coming in.

Re: How do you guys keep your different altcoins safe, off of an exchange?
by

I hate moving coins out of exchange. You really can't afford the fees if you are doing some trades a couple of times a month. with a portfolio less than 2 000$. Binance is pretty safe. Bittrex also. I don't see a problem holding there. Did everyone lose his house in Mt. Gox, so there is this huge FUD about keeping coins on exchanges? Jeez, I have 2FA there. It is so much safer than MEW if I have a screen logger or key logger.

Re: Free Burst Coin the Easy Way!

This coin is getting really popular lately. I think a lot of people will flock to earn it and the difficulty will increase. Finding a coin before the herd is the best.

Paper wallet with clean computer is unbreakable. Just buy a device and use it for nothing else except trades and wallets.

Itis hard for a coin to do a lot of transactions per second without being centralized. You just have to forfeit either speed or centralization. IOTA, EOS, CARDANO, we will see.

This coin has the same potential as Ripple in my opinion. Ripple is just ahead in terms of marketing and brand name, because it is the older coin.

Re: What doing in Bloodbath of Cryptocurrencies?

Yeah, it happens every day and it is all the same - price goes up after that. Except for the last time.
It is as you are almost dead in numerous accidents in your life, and everything is fine if you somehow make it.
But once you are dead, you are dead.

Wow, this project is working for real. I vastly underestimated it and sold all my airdropped tokens. I may have made a mistake.

What is this coin? I have some airdropped in MyEtherWallet? It is so cheap, that I will have to spend more to get it out to an exchange.

Substratum is still dependent on the current internet network. It can't change it. It can change the hosting industry. Skycoin can change the internet, because they are building a second one.

I still don't have much respect for them. I sold all of my TRON recently. I also had XENON and it was worth 10$ at  one time. 2 days later it is 0.04$. I guess it is the same as ICOs. Most airdrops are scams and will fail, but some will succeed.

Byteball Bytes is also based on the DAG technology. I read an interesting comparison on Medium between IOTA and RaiBlocks. It was flattering both projects, but gave very slight edge on IOTA. RaiBlocks is much cheaper, though.

Re: Is everyone "Cashing out"
by

I think that a lot of people are cashing out for the holidays and for the end of the year. But there are also a lot of bulls that are waiting for the BTC price to hit 10,000$ to get in the market.

I have never had any issues withdrawing from Bittrex. And I have withdrawn in at least 10 different cryptocurencies. I can't say the same for HitBTC, though.

Re: Best Altcoin for Regular Transactions
by

The obvious choices are Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash and there may be others. If you look at the small cap coins, almost any will do it, because they don't have huge traffic currently, but you don't know if this will be the case is there usage increases or if their teams just abandon them one day.

Re: How should you measure profits?
by
Paradoxall
on 19/12/2017, 15:44:09 UTC
I cash out crypto for fiat regularly -- so I always measure my holdings in fiat value. It's always nice to remember that you haven't made any profit until you cash out. Crypto profits are imaginary until you see fiat in the bank account.

But what about when we will be able to pay almost everything with crypto soon? Then you have vashed out the moment you converted to BTC, LTC, ETH or other accepted currency? How will we measure then?

Why do you think that Nxt price will go up? Why not Ardor's price? I think Nxt will head to a slow death and Ardor will take its place from now on.

This was one of the most expected ICOs, but I don't think the token is designed to reward investors. It is a utility token and I don't expect huge pumps.

A "mind-blowing" announcement is coming today I think. Any idea what that might be? This coin made one of the biggest surges I have ever seen. 40x in zero time.
