Re: Cryptocurrencies have taken the upward root.

Crypto worm has started crawling upward, more or less for every coin. This time it took more time to recover but finally it started recovering.

If you think that a month is already a long time for bitcoin to recovger, you seriously should look at how long it took for bitcoin's price to jump from $200-$500 in Q1 2014 - Q2 2016. It's an obvious longer time for the price to jump, every month is worthwhile and helped a lot of people (including me, lol) to accumulate bitcoin before it rose heavily starting February of 2017

Bitcoin has a long past, so I would go in that long detail.

BTC reached $5 k to $20 k in less than 3 months (Oct to Dec' 17) and this is the biggest drop and longest time taken to recover in last one year. So, I was referring to this one year period.

Re: What does the cryptocurrency industry need?
by
Parwesh Chaudhary

Two things I would say is needed:
1. Most of the people coming to this industry are immature and entering the industry for monetory gain. These are the people who panick very soon and start selling the coins. If these people are educated about the industry, the market would be stable, which would solve the major problem this industry is facing
2. Need to have a community to approve and give a score to the new coins and token being launched through ICOs. This would restrict fraud and instill investors trust in the cryptocurrencis.

I think if we can work on these two things (to start with), then this industry would be more trusted.

Re: Shouldn't we focus more on Blockchain technology?

I think Blockchain is more important for us then cryptocurrencis.
Should we not focus more on Blockchain then caring about cryptocurrencis?

As Blockchain is capable of removing centralised system which is the root of many issues the world is facing currently and it also has the capability to empower commoners.

You know what I think? Your missing the point here. What do you mean by caring about cryptocurrency? Do you know that blockchain is also a cryptocurrency?

I think you should direct your rant to the government because they despise the anything that's "decentralized" including cryptos.
What are you saying? blockchain is not a cryptocurrency, it is a technology that is used to secure data and makes all stored data impossible to modify, but blockchain is not limited for securing cryptocurrency, it can also be use to secure different kinds of data. About what OP said/ask, here's the thing, though blockchain can have a lot of uses, if we focus on developing the blockchain it will also have a good effects cryptocurrencies and if we focus on cryptocurrency, you will also have to develop the blockchain, because cryptocurrencies rely its security on blockchain and they are both important.

Blockchain is not a cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency is a use case of Blockchain. I consider Blockchain as a company and cryptocurrency as one of it's best product.

However, cryptocurrency has helped Blockchain in getting a broader exposure.

Bitcoin has become more of an asset or investment option now, so we can definitely survive without this.

The most important thing is Blockchain which can help us solve many problems of centralised system. Blockchain is the technology which has potential to empower common people.

BTC is not for for real life use now, as it'sole purpose was when the algorithm was being designed.

It has become more of an investment option and this is how people have find it's relevancy and this is how it would be considered. Once 21 million BTC are mined, it would be like an asset and you need to pay additional fee to buy and sale BTC, as there would be no BTC for miners to validate the transaction.

So, the problem would remain the same for which the BTC was developed.

The best option would be to take a break for a month or two from cryptocurrency, I don't think it would improve this early.

This time there is no reason of price drop, atleast I have not heard any reason for today's drop.

Re: Why BTC is down again?
by
Parwesh Chaudhary
on 03/02/2018, 05:18:55 UTC
Basically because of this:

Quote
India's Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the country wants to "eliminate" the use of digital currencies in criminal activities, signaling tighter regulation in the country.

Arun Jaitley only said to eliminate it's use in criminal activities, which any country would be concerned about.

I don't think should effect the industry, as there was nothing negative about cryptocurrencis.

I don't think so, going by the current transaction cost and transaction speed. BTC would not be the relevant source of transaction, even today. It is good for investment purpose though (for which it was not meant).

We would get more robust and strong technology in coming years and that point of time popularity of Bitcoin would fed. Even today blockchain technology is considered more useful then Bitcoin.

Re: Facebook ban ads for cryptocurrencies and ICO'S, what will be the effect?
by

It would not impact earnings from Bounty campaign or limit organic reach, it's just that you won't be able to do paid advertisement on the platform.

So the main problem would be to promote the ICO and run campaigns around the same.

Besides BTC, there are several other cryptocurrency available. I don't think it is only about BTC, it's about the all cryptocurrencis combined.

Re: Ate you going to spend or save you bitcoin?
by

It depends on how you want to proceed with BTC. You would definitely not want to use BTC for small amount as you would not get benefit from it due to higher transaction cost. But if you want to spend it for across the border transaction then it would be a good decision.

Re: Will bitcoin end?
by
Parwesh Chaudhary
on 24/01/2018, 12:10:09 UTC

It would not end, but the price would not keep going upward for the lifetime, there are other coins in the industry and many more are launched on monthly basis.

This is a good time to invest in BTC, same can not be said after few years, because Bitcoin would reach it's Max limit and price would stay there.

There is no doubt in the potential of BTC in future and you can earn heavily if you invest now in BTC.

But, you can also make quick money by investing in other coins, as you can buy them at lower prices and even a slight jump in price can give you a good return.

This would still be too early to say crypto industry is recovering, but it would recover for sure.

But this crash has proved that crypto industry is so volatile that even a single news or announcement is capable of crashing the entire industry or any specific coin.
