Re: Slimcoin | First Proof of Burn currency | 0.5.1 binaries | Decentralized Web

- second, many people tried out the PoB feature, but were disappointed by the low returns  and left. You have to mint a long time to get profitable - in times of high burning activity you have to wait at least a year (like now)

Is there a fundamental flaw in PoB idea or is it due to poor implementation of PoB in Slimcoin?

There is no flaw in the protocol - it's the characteristic of it, and how it's implemented. It was designed so.

If the PoB itself is fine, how can we improve the implementation of it to make it viable?

Hi!
I really like the Proof of Burn idea. How come Slimcoin has so little popularity and trading activity on exchanges after 3 years of existence?

Re: Is there as simple guide on how to pay with lightning network?

Hi!
I've seen this https://satoshis.place/ website.
Thus I am looking for a simple guide that would explain how do I pay in bitcoins using lightning network.
Does bitcoin core supports this feature?

Bitcoin core isn't a lightning wallet... You can run a bitcoin core node and install c-lightning on top of it... C-lightning makes use of your core installation to function.

As for a simple walktrough: i made a lightning application on the testnet and wrote a walktrough on how to use it:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4559889.msg41080256#msg41080256

Mainnet is about the same as the testnet, but i'd encourage you to try LN on the testnet first Wink

Great! Thanks!

Geth fast sync question: how to increase blocks number with stored state?
by
PatrickEClifford
on 08/06/2018, 07:25:46 UTC
Hi!
Geths fast sync mode allows for storing state for 128 last blocks. I would like to increase that number to 1000 or 10000. How can I achieve that?

BTW: is it a good place to ask ethereum technical questions or is there a better resource for that?

I guess its fine if Github changed owners, I just hope Microsoft is not going to mess with Github too much. If MS actually screws Github we always have bitbucket that is also enjoy using. Free private repositories FTW

On which ICO listing websites I already can find your project?

I think all major ico listing websites have it. But ICO is over. If you wish to buy JNT tokens you should head straight to coinmarketcap.com, find jibrell tokens there and see what exchanges trade it.

3 BTC is pretty generous. You're lending that much in this bear market?

BTC will bull in May. I'm not worried.

Any thoughts on why it should happen in May?

Noticed you are a copper member. Does copper membership allow to have signature restrictions as those of a regular Member?

Official Rules
1) Join TSS Telegram group + Like TSS Facebook + Follow TSS Twitter (stay until the end of token distribution).
2) Participants must have at least 2 months old Twitter and Facebook accounts. New accounts will not be accepted.
3) Only one entry per participant. A person found cheating with multiple entries will lead to immediate disqualification.
4) Only discuss and exchange ideas, and ask related questions about the TSS project. We want to know your feedback on TSS project.
5) No spam messages are allowed in Telegram group - spammers will be disqualified and kicked out.
6) Tokens will be distributed within 30 days after the end of this campaign (when it hits 1000 participants).
7) TSS reserves the right to not award participants who do not comply with the rules.

How is it going to help you? I thought the whole point of an airdrop is to increase the adoption of a token. Having a bunch of 0-follower 2-month old accounts follow your twitter is worthless. You could buy twitter followers at a rate like 1000 per buck

Avatar is mostly worthless. Can only advertise logo. If somebody will pay for it they'll pay very little.
