Hello, Can anyone tell me about NEO. I am about to invest on it. Whats your opinion about NEO's Future.
NEO is promoted as Chinese Ethereum and sometimes as Ethereum Killer. So By 2018 there can be a tough competition between NEO and ethereum.

Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash
by
Paul karet

What are the main differences between bitcoin and bitcoincash?

On 15 May 2018, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is undergoing a hard fork, This guide explains how this coin came into existence, what this fork means, why it is being done, and what the effects it will have.

As you probably already know, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) started its life on 1 August 2017 as a hard fork of Bitcoin (BTC). The idea was to create a new cryptocurrency (BCH) based on the same basic ideas as BTC but with an adjustable maximum block size rather than a fixed (1MB) maximum block size. At that time, it was decided that a maximum block size of 8MB would result in a significant increase in the number of transactions that could be processed by the ledger. The larger block size would also mean that transaction fees would be lower. The first (and still most popular) implementation of the BCH protocol was called Bitcoin ABC; "ABC" stands for Adjustable Blocksize Cap. Before the hard fork happened, two other implementations of the BCH protocol had been completed: Bitcoin Unlimited and Bitcoin XT.

Everyone who held BTC coins at the time of the hard fork (1 August 2017) received an equal number of the new BCH coins. However, this hard fork that is taking place on 15 May 2018 is different in that for users it will look like a soft fork, which means that if you are a holder of BCH, contrary to what you may have heard/read elsewhere, you won't be receiving any new coins.

When BCH hard forks on May 15th, there will be two separate chains, but only the new chain will have any economic value. The old chain will become obsolete and will no longer be accepted by crypto exchanges. However, because the term "hard fork" often suggests that there was some disagreement in the community that could not be resolved, the BCH community is using the term "upgrade" for what will be taking on place on May 15th. And indeed, there will be an upgrade because new features are being added to the protocol.

The May 15th upgrade was first proposed when BCH developers met in London in November 2017 to discuss how to improve the scalability of BCH even further so that it would be better prepared, as a form of payment, for global adoption. There are three main changes:

    ● the maximum block size is being increased from 8MB to 32MB so that more transactions can fit in each block, which leads to more transactions per second (around 224) and even lower transaction fees (since there will be less competition to fit transactions into these larger blocks);
    ● several Bitcoin script operation code (op codes) are being added/reactivated so that we can have the possibility of creating very simple smart contracts; and
    ● the OP_RETURN data carrier size is being increased from 80 bytes to 220 bytes, which allows for tokenization or creation of "colored coins" (kind of like ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain) that can be used for tracking real-world assets -- such as gold, real estate, bonds, stocks -- or even virtual assets such as CryptoKitties.

The main change that holders of BCH may notice after the upgrade is that Memo, the decentralized social network built on the BCH blockchain, will probably be updated soon so that it supports messages longer than 75 characters.

There is an ico from the Krypital team: Merculet. The project of this team was quite successful before: Cybermiles, Arcblock. Do you think this is a good ico? Should continue to join ico in the moment?

there is no harm in continuing to follow the ICO, probably will produce more perfect results.

As I have noticed these days, when the ICO hasnt finished yet and the sale was still on going, the bounty tokens has already been distributed and also unlocked they sell it immediately on forkdelta or etherdelta for a much lower that ICO price, in which it could greatly disturb the sales in tokens. As for you the investor on that token, would you panic when you see that the tokens you own already selling at much lower price?
I have no panic at all, there may be time to increase the token.
I'm sure the team will work as much as possible to fight for the token price increase.

I want to write in this topic how to make money on cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency projects and blockchain projects if you are a businessman or investor. I understand that I know too little about crypto market. I want to see all "the crypto market map".

For example:

For businessmen:

- You can sell your goods or services for cryptocurrencies.

- You can make and sell hardware for mining.

- You can make and sell hardware and software to companies who make cryptocurrency projects and blockchain projects.

...

For investors:

- You can trade cryptocurrency.

...

For businessmen and investors:

...

Please, write your opinion about this. If you know any other way to make money on crypto, write here too.

P.S. Thanks for your help!

You should be able to start from scratch to start earning money cryptocurrency. can be done through trade campaigns. no need to sell anything to get money cryptocurrency

Re: Making crypto succeed in the real world?
by
Paul karet

If that would have been easy then it could have been already being followed everywhere. But its not! Merchants fear because they have to track the sales, earnings, pay taxes and much more. There is no provision for this purpose yet and thats why they might not just accept it so easily. For customers it gets difficult to wait in the coffee shop until they get sufficient confirmation of the bitcoin process. So there are not single but many problems in using this currency. Until the time we dont see huge set up for this then we cant see any progress as whole really.

I looks like the lightning network could make the transaction fast as any VISA payment and function offline with later synchronization. Its true that merchants lack integration with the old systems - Not seeing anyone doing this besides maybe https://utrust.com/.

V.
actually this kind of thing is a good goal and can happen, but it may take a long time.
as has been discussed. Internet connection is still not stable and uneven, this will be a barrier.

Bitcoin is a digital asset.
This digital asset is like gold, but only available in the digital world. The concept may sound like eGold, though it is actually much different.
People are finding out about bitcoin, because bitcoin promises for the future.

This forum is the only one i have come across so far, that has genuine discussions, opinions and suggestions. People here stick to the topic at hand, and the knowledge shared is both educating and intellectually stimulating. Why would anyone need any other groups to join?
which you say is true, here is also a forum for discussion and much of the experience we get from this forum.
maybe I do not have to take part in the ICO expert telegram group.

The society is divided into haves and haves not, poor people are getting more poorer and rich people are getting more richer, Value of money is decreasing and inflation is increasing, Many people around the globe suffer death mostly Africa and asia because hunger and unable to fulfill basic human needs.
What actions should governments need to take and how individuals can contribute?
I think it would be fun for the government to expand employment opportunities and provide knowledge / skills for work. and we have to motivate lazy people to work.

Re: What do you think of North Korea?
by

North Korea is a threat to the world banking
cabal that is made up of the Bank for
International Settlements, the IMF and the World
Bank.
Any country that has an independent central bank
as all of our enemies do, has the potential of
issuing a value based currency such as a gold
backed currency.
Yes North Korea is very different from south korea.
The newly appointed Governor of South Korea's FSS has said that he saw "some positive aspects" for cryptocurrency in today's press conference, May 6. The governor also said FSS would work on the "problem" of crypto rules in collaboration with other regulators.

by

I need some opinion if panic selling can contribute of rapidly drop of the bitcoin price. If it is right how can we convince to the bitcoiners to not doing panic selling.
sales due to panic when people see there is a reduction in bitcoin prices, I think the price of bitcoin will go down.
there is a cause of the increased volume of bitcoin present in the market.
this can be likened if fruit season in market, fruit price will decrease.

Re: IMF Report Says Crypto Does Not ‘Pose Risks’ To Global Finance
by
Paul karet
on 02/05/2018, 04:59:32 UTC
Cryptocurrencies “do not appear to pose risks to financial stability,” the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in a report published the second week of April.

In comments on crypto assets as part of its Global Financial Stability Report, the organization continued its recent stance in promoting international agreements on regulation. The report continues, “...they could [pose a risk] should their use become more widespread without the appropriate safeguards.”

The tone is bullish against the titular theme of “a bumpy road ahead” for world finance, and does not discount the potential for cryptocurrency to “transform financial activity.” The report states:

“It is impossible to know the extent to which crypto assets may transform the financial infrastructure and whether most new crypto assets are likely to disappear as in past episodes of technological innovation (as many tech companies did during the boom of the late 1990s, for example). Before they can transform financial activity in a meaningful and lasting manner, crypto assets will first need to earn the confidence and support of consumers and financial authorities.”

The report adds that, in order to gain this confidence, there will need to be a consensus among the global regulatory community about what crypto assets are; a security or a currency.

The IMF thus follows in the footsteps of other financial institutions this year, notably the Financial Stability Board (FSB). The head of the FSB, Bank of England governor Mark Carney, told the G20 in March that crypto assets “do not pose risks” to the world’s economy.

Meanwhile, IMF chief Christine Lagarde has similarly adopted a weighted stance on crypto, acknowledging its “benefits” while simultaneously warning about illicit uses which require attention. “A judicious look at crypto-assets should lead us to neither crypto-condemnation nor crypto-euphoria,” she wrote in an official blog post last month.

Re: NEO vs EOS, Which is better For the Future?
by
Paul karet
on 30/04/2018, 20:22:28 UTC
Functionality of NEO & GAS.
Neo is just a share of the Company. It generates revenue of about 7% per year.
Gas powers the network. You will get payed in Gas if you own Neo.
There are special perks if you own a certain amount of Gas/Neo. (Bookkeeper)

Transaction speed. Neo can support up to 10 000 transactions/second. Ethereum can do 20/second.

Languages. Neo supports Java, #C, Python (AI here we go) and many more. They are planning to integrate JavaScript as well (bye bye lisk). Ethereum can do Solidity.
