Still no news from Binance about my Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash is still alive and kicking. It`s doing better than ABC and SV. I don`t see why everyone just accepts the coins vanishing in to thin air ?

Thanks everyone for your replies.

mummybtc wrote  Do you really understand what fork is

Maybe not but I understand enough to know it`s a folk and the forked Bitcoin cash still exist in Cyberspace. Someone owns them (not me).

mummybtc wrote no exchange is out there to support it

A number of exchanges still list it and trade - Kraken being one such example.

mummybtc wrote so what esle do you need

My Bitcoin Cash. The current selling price (as I type) on Kraken is 300 euro per coin. I would like to transfer it there and trade the coins for 300 euro and also be the proud owner of ABC and SV !

For sure batlang_bitcoin. This was my point - exchanges just seem to take coins and no one questions it. Surely Binance make enough money without hoarding away users coins.

I wonder how many BCC`s have disappeared from all the users they have ? Someone must be sitting on $$$$$$

I will draft a question to support now. Let`s see if they answer - some how I doubt it. Either way I`ll post back..

Any other users a little `miffed` that they have lost their BCC ?

@talkbitcoin - I definitely had BCC in my Binance account at the time of the snap shot. BCHABC was credited to my account on a ratio of 1:1 so no worries there.

BCHABC is a result of the fork though - it`s a new coin and doesn`t replace BCC. BCC hasn`t changed it`s name and still trades as a separate coin.

For example. When the Bitcoin / BCC fork happened, users had a 1:1 `free coin`. They still held BTC and BCC rather than losing all their BTC and just holding BCC.

edit - the value also is completely different. At time of posting Bitcoin Cash = $382 and Bitcoin ABC = @253

It`s not a rebrand or name change

Fair point about the thread title - I`ve changed that.

@batang_bitcoin I had did read the thread. However removing BCC balances from their platform doesn`t quite explain where everyone`s BCC have gone. They must be somewhere ?

@IVEXO - I will contact them for sure. If they reply I will post the answer here.

@Fu mei mei - If a coin is held on a wallet, the wallet holder can claim a new coin after a fork, and KEEPS the original coin. In this case Binance were the wallet holders, and must therefore, have everyone`s BCC. My question still stands - where`s my BCC gone ? Someone must have it ?

Binance - BCC gone ?
by
Paulbounce
on 17/11/2018, 09:04:34 UTC
Hi everyone.

I transfered my Bitcoin Cash to Binance before the fork, as they were supporting BCCABC and BCCSV. I received the new coins on a 1:1 basis. However they have removed my BCC from my wallet and I`m just left with the forked coins.

Correct me if I`m wrong here, but shouldn`t I still have my BCC and ABC / SV ?

Binance must have kept my BCC plus everyone else`s.

Any others in the same boat thinking something is not quite right here ?

Best,
Paul

Update. To their credit TS have now credited BTCP  to all users. Their news board has the following message.

Trade Satoshi
Bitcoin Private $BTCP markets are live and users have been credited with the appropriate amount

I still think their lack of communication during the fork was somewhat limited - to say the least. It wouldn`t have taken a minute to do so, and would have kept users `in the loop`. However they fulfilled their obligations and pledge to credit users with BTCP as promised.

6th March 6.30 pm.

KuCoin has started distributing the hard fork Bitcoin Private (BTCP) to all users, and giving updates, via their trading platform and Twitter.

TS has said nothing - not a word. A quick update would be nice. Let`s see what happens tomorrow  Roll Eyes

I don`t think the BTCP project has been closed gloriam55. I would be very interested to see some links to your source ?

Update about Tradesatoshi. BTCP has not been credited yet on their site. I want to be very clear about this - this is not the fault of Tradesatoshi. Rather it lies with the Dev`s of BTCP. These things take time I know.

However the Tradesatoshi team are not updating anyone about what is happening. In the `chat` they ignore everyone - check it out for yourself - people are asking every minute about BTCP but there aren`t any replies.

Below the chat box is a news box. If they can`t the answer the questions be transparent about it there - until then the posts will keep coming.

Lets know whats going on - that way everyone will trust the site more. It`s good for their business in the end. Add a few more explanation points in there and we might stop asking the same question. I`ll give the same quote I included in my last post ..... developing relationships is part of business. Leveraging those relationships is just being smart ......

I`ll update the thread tomorrow.

Just to clarify my point. I`m not saying Tradesatoshi are scammers at the moment - they could certainly be MUCH more transparent with their customers though.

EDIT
To give TS their due, they are now giving a link to their news page, where I assume any updates will be posted. They have also said they hope it will be credited to account holders soon.

Now, this is going to be funny.. many people sending their ZClassic to tradesatoshi in belief they will be able to dump it there right after the fork. Funny thing is, if tradesatoshi wont crack under load? or some other nasty things?? Stay cautious and better leave your ZCL in wallet and after snapshot send it at least to cryptopia or bittrex, once they reopen ZCL wallet.

Quite right ! I bought some ZCL on Tradesatoshi (paying much more than the Bittrex price) and was ready with my sell order as soon as the snapshot had taken place.

What a coincidence. At the exact second of the snapshot the site went down and nobody could sell. As soon as the price of ZCL dropped, and it was no longer worth selling ZCL at the price, the site came back on again. A DoS attack was the given explanation. Now far be it from me to suggest that isn`t true. It could have been a DoS attack but it does make you wonder. Let`s be honest - it`s a small exchange that would have had problems with the volume of sales when everyone sold ZCL at the same time - there would not be enough buyers.

Many questions are being asked on their chat about when Bitcoin Private will be credited to ZCL and Bitcoin holders. I haven`t seen a response yet from Tradesatoshi. It should be today when traders can access their Bitcoin Private on TS. If the price starts high, I hope there isn`t another DoS attack (I doubt it), or there turns out to be some problem crediting BTCP to account holders - at least until after the price has dropped.

Truthfully, I couldn't care less about losing some money making a wrong call with ZCL. However it needs to be an even playing field. Developing a good relationship is part of business. Leveraging those relationships is just being smart - I`m sure TS will do this and credit BTCP today as it should do.

I`ll post back with the outcome - good or bad.

Litecoin Cash free tokens Ledger Nano ?
by
Paulbounce
on 16/02/2018, 11:52:41 UTC
Hello everyone.

I`m trying to find out, if I will get the free 50 Litecoin Cash per Litecoin held, if I keep my Litecoin in my Ledger.

Does anyone know if Ledger will support the 'fork'. If so I can leave my Litecoin safely in my Ledger - if not I assume I need to transfer them to a Litecoin wallet, and back to the Ledger after the fork.

Anyone have conformation about the best thing to do to claim the free tokens.

Thanks in advance.

It looks to be back on ! Is this correct or just false news. I would have thought the cypto community would have known about this well before Christmas.

Love it. All the FUD before the future trading started. BTC will drop in price etc etc blah blah.

What happened. The trading platforms website crashed in minutes and Bitcoin rose 10% in five minutes.

Go home Wall Street boys. You can`t tame Mr Bitcoin.

Thanks OSS. OK ~ whats to stop me transfering from one exchange to the other. Using the above example, I should be able to transfer one BTC from Kraken to CEX, sell it right away, and make 100 euro profit.

It can`t be that easy though. I must be missing something  Roll Eyes

Why the difference in Bitcoin exchange rates
by
Paulbounce
on 17/11/2017, 11:02:18 UTC
As I type this right now, there seems to be a substantial difference in the BTC exchange rate, on different trading platforms.

For example ~ 1 BTC on Kraken costs 6700 euro. 1 BTC on CEX costs 6801 euro.

Same coin different cost. Why would anyone pay 100 euro more for the same coin.

How to get free Segwit2x for BTC holders
by
Paulbounce
on 08/11/2017, 15:18:39 UTC
Hello everyone.

I`m a newbie to CC so please bare with me. If you hold a small amount of BTC my understanding is you get an the same amount of Segwit2x when the fork has been implemented.

The trading platform I use has not stated it`s stance regarding this. I`m just about to transfer my BTC to a paper wallet, so my question is this. Will I still be able to claim the Segwit2x at a later date using a paper wallet as offline storage on the day of the fork.

Thanks in advance.
