Re: To be honest about Investing

In real world (offline) to make some money you have to provide some real useful services right? That's how it is online you can't just dive into something you know nothing about, if it's that easy to make money everyone will be a millionaire, I was so afraid of stock because many people around me loses money but I later find out that they don't understand a thing about stock, imagine all of them in same category ( lack of understanding ).

We have too many fake Devs coming into crypto to make money out of it so yes we will have so many scam and bad projects all the way, it's left for we investors to be smart, know when to buy and know when to sell if the coin isn't that good enough for long term hold

Re: Where do you look for best staking / yield generating altcoin options?
by

on 03/06/2021, 07:07:08 UTC
Was curious what websites you use to identify the ways to generate the best APY / APR from farming / staking. And please don't answer "coin xxx is the best". I am interested in a sustainable process, not a one shot fake gem.

For me look for the volume of the coins that's the first thing I do second thing is the system of that project some projects have a APY that reaches 2500% which is really high this kind of projects were fake gems well I think you should also study the background of the project, liquidity also if there's a stake lock or not, audit of course will have a great impact. I'm not really an expert but this were the things I look when looking for yielding pools or staking pools.
Instead of trying to avoid fake yield farming projects with high returns it's better to stick with binance exchange because they wil never list scam projects, I've not seen that happen since day one, the only thing that can go wrong is if the project losses its value when bear market hit hard

Re: Mining with GT 710s and 1030s?
by

Do people not mine with GT 710s or 1030s? (Nvidia) Is it not profitable? Or do they just go for better cards?
Do not buy video cards worse than 1050ti.
1030 may be good for mining in theory, but in practice I have not seen these video cards in mining, because they have very poor cooling. I think that they are not designed for mining, they give very little profit and a small amount of coins can be mined on these video cards.

Gt1030 have different variants mate, the PNY version has very tiny fan on them that's why the have bad cooling but the maxsun and some few others have big fan on them and they cool very well, anyways this card is not that profitable for mining so it's a bad choice

Re: Dogecoin listed on Coinbase pro
by

on 02/06/2021, 07:12:05 UTC
Doge coin deserves it because it's a old crypto coin now, I think as old as BTC if I'm correct, what I would like to share is everyone should remember that doge coin is a meme coin, there is no utility or use cases to this project and it's impossible to add one now so be smart and know what you are doing

I mined thousands of  doge back in 2013. I never dreamed it would hit the price it did and im surprised its still holding out in the 20 pence mark. I got lucky with this coin  but Its still pretty easy to mine compared to a lot of other older coins
No one saw it coming, I used to play with 2 million pieces of doge coin in 2016 because it was so damn cheap at the time and one day I just decide to sell it off, sometimes it's always good to hodl honestly because you may never know what comes next

Re: Can I cancel a Litecoin transaction after 3 confirmations?
by

After a single confirmation it's over, you won't be able to stop the transaction from getting verified on the blockchain, the only way around this is if you can contact the receiver to send back your LTC for you and if you don't know the receiver you are out of luck

Re: Coinbase wallet vs Meta Mask wallet
by

Coinbase wallet can connect to Coinbase.com.  But some website doesn't use Coinbase wallet.  Most websites use Meta Mask wallet.  Which one is better Coinbase wallet vs Meta Mask wallet?
That's not the only red flag that coinbase wallet have, you have no control over your funds using coinbase wallet because when you open a wallet with coinbase users aren't given their private keys or recovery seed, assuming coinbase goes out of business today all your coins are gone

Lol I don't pray for another CoViD outbreak though but I'm definitely waiting for another crypto bad news that can take the market so down and crumbling on its feet so I can fill some new bags of coins and tokens once again, there is nothing better than buying Ethereum at 200$ each at that period, manipulation is definitely real

Re: IDO and KYC
by
PerfectCircle
on 31/05/2021, 10:44:35 UTC
Is there any IDO platform that doesn't require KYC? Also I'm confused because and this question might sound a little off but I just want to know, aren't all IDO platforms decentralized? If Yes why the need for KYC?
https://www.polkastarter.com
To participate, you need to have Polkastarter (POLS) tokens in your Ethereum wallet.
There, too, some projects require you to go through the KYC procedure, but some do not.
You complete tasks and you have a chance to buy some tokens. (analogue of Coinlist)

So it doesn't ends at buying and holding the tokens to get qualified? You still have to complete some tasks again? It's like the idea of binance launchpad today where you have to build up your chances to rank and get qualified, why are they doing this? It's why ICO is the best if you look at it from this point of view

Re: Do you recommend staking?
by
PerfectCircle
on 31/05/2021, 06:08:19 UTC
Staking is good if you have the money for it though I prefer mining coins instead because the risks are lesser this way, staking means you are giving out your money to CEX platforms for returns every month, it's risky if you ask me
Mining is a big headache for many because you need to monitor your rigs every time to time, also you need either free electricity or cheap electricity to enjoy mining but with staking things are just easier

Re: Why different PSU have such a big pricing discrepancy?
by
PerfectCircle
on 30/05/2021, 16:37:30 UTC
Depends on the sellers, I don't buy anything over 200$ for a single power supply, some sellers are too greedy that they sell a particular PSU for a too high price, make sure you search for other online stores for that same PSU you eyeing for better price

Before cleaning the GPU you removed the card from a pcie x16 slot or a riser? If it's a riser make sure you resit the riser cable very well or maybe you probably get a defeat riser cable already? Already remove driver and reinstall again

I have a question about using two  power supplies in one motherboard, to avoid any bad result is it always better to use same power supply? 2x Corsair power supply with exact same rating and watt? Or you can just match any power supplies and they will still work fine? Thanks

Newbies will keep asking the same questions over and over because we will always have newcomers in crypto space, those newbies that asked questions today won't be the same newbies that will ask questions tomorrow, newbies are newbies but they aren't the same people, if we can't guide them right aren't we worse than they are?

Re: my first crypto mining rig,
by
PerfectCircle
on 22/02/2021, 12:24:51 UTC
Hi guys,

decided on 2x 3070s and 3x 3060 Ti,

total 5x Cards on a single rig (the 3070s are already purchased so cant cancel them now...)

I know the 3060Ti performs the same for 100$ less or so,,,

but what's done is done Smiley

i need some advise now where to get the best risers and what PSU is needed to power those cards??....

am on a server board, CPU, RAM available, is 1200w PSU gonna be enough for those 5x cards ?...

And How to go with installaing nvidia drivers for two different cards on the same OS (Windows and gonna use nicehash for starters...) ??...

thanks,
Install all the graphic cards first and install a nvidia driver, it will automatically detect all the GPUS unless they aren't nvidia cards only, for a starter Nicehash is the answer, just by clicking a start button you will start earning in no time
