Wow it looks efficient and smooth.
I like the all in view and easyness of changing things.

Please consider also an old request to you, to include into the main dashboard the temperatures of ALL GPUs, not only max temp.
GPUs temperatures are one of the critical indicators miners monitor and look into.

Maybe others can hop on to endorse this, or better, you can use the "Vote feature" in the smos menu and see the miners feedback directly.

Great preview anyway, keep up the good work.

Let's not forget about:

  • USB sticks
very handy when using linux distros like smos, etc. Should have good read/write figures to easily reflash if needed.

  • lombar exercises (daily)
I almost killed my back carrying rig cases from one place to another Cheesy. I think this should be in top 3 Grin.

mine ETC, you get pretty much the same hashrate as for ETH in the good old days.

Re: Any news about nvidia 3060ti hash rates?

I got one of these

https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P5-3663-KR

EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti XC GAMING, 08G-P5-3663-KR, 8GB GDDR6, Dual-Fan, Metal Backplate

The mark up was okay.

I paid 513-26=477 with shipping included.

3 months to pay it off.

Cannot get to that ROI.
At ~2usd/day for 61 mhs, I get ~8 months ROI. Without electric cost.

What am I missing?

Sorry three months to pay my credit card company off and a 5% discount on the 513 purchase.

so 487 net price as  i subtracted wrong above and said 477.

so 487 after the cc discount and 90 days to pay the cc at no extra cost.

So for roi no one knows that.

I operate a bit differently than many miners.

I have gpus ,cpus,btc asics,ltc asics.

I have 1.4 ph of btc miners all paid off.
I have 10gh of ltc miners all paid off.
I around 60 gpus about 1600 usd owed. All on 90 day promos with no interest fees.

The gpus have temporary free power until end of the year.

So it is more complex to describe.

Jan 1 all the gear above will be paid off. As I will prepay the 90  day promos this year for taxes.

At this point all gear will be paid.

I will get 25% of what it all earns. plus own it.

So explaining pay back or roi for me is complex.
but explaining paying off the card via credit card promo is easy enoguh.

Thanks, now is clear. For a regular miner the ROI is a little bit longer at current gpu prices while having 1 usd/day for ~30mhs.
I hope Santa will give you/us a nice gift by boosting eth prices Smiley)

hi all this is my bat file, I want to ask what is -proto 3
is it neccesary ? I have 2 1070 nvidia and 3 RX 580 all 8 gb

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

REM IMPORTANT: Replace the ETH address with your own ETH wallet address in the -wal option (Rig001 is the name of the rig)
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool //eu1.ethermine.org:4444  -wal 0xbutkhg756gnfkhnkh56t87ng.rigname -proto 3
pause

anyone?

from the readme.txt file:

-proto <n>
Selects the kind of stratum protocol for the ethash pool:

   1:
      miner-proxy stratum spec (e.g. coinotron)

   2:
eth-proxy (e.g. ethermine, nanopool) - this is the default,
      works for most pools

   3:
      qtminer (e.g. ethermine, ethpool)

   4:
      EthereumStratum/1.0.0 (e.g. nicehash)

   5:
      EthereumStratum/2.0.0

so it depends on the pool you are mining to...

using Vega 64 flashed to 56

with  --CL 20 --RAS 30 --RCDRD 14 --RCDWR 12 --RC 44 --RP 14 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 6 --RTP 5 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 14 --REF 17000 --RFC 249

Core: 1028
VDD 840
MVDD 800
Mem 1028

i'm getting 47.340 MH/s 114w (on phoenix miner) 54C Mem:75C (average based on 4xGPU)

wonder if that's possible to get even better...

for people interested in the flash I used amdvbflash (the same one i used for rx 5700 xt flash) with the equivalent model to my vega 64 (Nitro+) on https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=&manufacturer=&model=RX+Vega+56&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since=

Vega64 flashed with Vega56 bios

using theses timings
--CL 20 --RAS 26 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12 --RC 38 --RP 12 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 5 --RTP 6 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 13 --REF 24000 --RFC 239

Core 1097Mhz / 825mV
Mem 1028Mhz

you can get 54.5Mh/s solid ethereum hashrate at 115w to 130w depending on your model!

Forgot to mention that you will need to use TeamRedMiner to get the 54.5Mh/s

i had to tweak it a bit to get it stable but I confirm I get about 54MH/s on team red miner Smiley

Tested that and yes I get 54 mh/s in TRM in miner console. But the pool still sees around around 47 mh/s, even after 48 hours of running.
Seems like an inflated figure on TRM side.
Guys can you check/concur this?

Thanks for the requested feature (phoenix colors).
I also like the tags feature very much. Good for grouping/organizing your rigs.

Hi,
Any idea why EthMan Remote Manager does not show GPUs temperature for some rigs?
It shows the values in other columns, like name, ethereum stats, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to come back, anybody has an idea on this?
I google it but couldn't found anything.

Thanks.

Got my stock bios rx 580 and I keep right clicking the batch and run as administrator and it keeps saying this. "Failed, you must run miner with admin rights." in red text. Please Help

right click on the ethminer64.exe file and check the "run as administrator" option. and then run the .bat file

good lord, Claymore, I have rx480 8 gb samsung, using latest 14th ver and reaching only 28.8mh/s, any help to see those 33mh/s?

I use "-strap 1@2250" or even "-strap 3@2250" for these cards, read Readme for more details.

Hi Claymore what is the maximum strap number we can use? Above is 3, and I see in other of your posts 4.
Can we go beyond?

later edit: nevermind, I found it - it is 5 Smiley

quick question - for 6xVega rig, I am using the normal smos version 1226. Does it include the vega beta version, or do I have to use the 1218 separate version (the vega beta one)?

Quite good advises, thanks all for the insights.
Wow... I didn't realize XVG is so disregarded around here Smiley... that's a pretty strong community statement.

Verge is trash. Sell it all.

The best coins you are holding are VEN, OMG and ARK. Increase your holdings in these.

Personally, I would also get rid of some of the less well established coins (FLO, CAPP, HMQ, VIB) and buy ETH and NEO.
ditch xvg, increase portfolio of ardor, rdn bring some eth if you want some stability

Thanks Guys, I also like ARDR, ARK and OMG a lot, although I still need to be convinced by the OMG team that they are really capable of delivering.
I believe ARDR has great potential (the parent-child blockchain tech is unique) and that's why I also invested a little bit in IGNIS, their child coin.
I will add some ETH in my portfolio; interestingly enough, it was one of the few coins that resisted quite well to the current dip.

Personally I would sell all my Verge and replace it with some solid coins like Neo and/or ICON, maybe some Waves.
I'd also reduce my Bitbay position. Why do you have so much Bitbay? I'd go with safer bets here.
I really like Stratis, Ark, Status, Komodo, Shift.
Well, BCH is always something to discuss. Now with the lightning network coming for Bitcoin I don't really see too much of a future for Bcash.
The rest seems pretty solid. Although FLO, CAPP, HMQ are not really my coins but since the positions are small I guess that's fine since they could actually perform well.

Some BTC and ETH could also not hurt but actually I don't have them in my portfolio either at the moment since I really think my other coins can outperform them easily (at this moment). I guess overall this portfolio is pretty solid with the exception of Verge and having too much Bitbay. But you should absolutely add Neo.

Thanks, got the point on XVG, I will research more into it and adjust accordingly. In the mean time, care to share why do you think is a trash coin?
Neo... hmm... I see it as a solid coin, but does it really have so much growth potential?

I don't think it's a good idea your Top 2 coins to be Verge & Bitbay! Both are if not trash, then max mediocre projects, surrounded by hype.

Sell it and choose few others like PRL and DGRN.

I bought XVG and BAY in June/July last year, when they were like 0,004 USD and 0,02 USD (I miss those days Smiley), so I'm still quite ahead in profit, even at this current low prices. Did some research back then, with BAY - I was impressed by the tech, richness of functionalities and the story of the main dev, and XVG was among the first players in the privacy coins area.
Taking apart XVG, why do you think BAY is a mediocre project? I do agree that they lack marketing skills and they are not so good at promoting their coin.

I think you should remove ignis, cappacity and florin other than these altcoins are very good quality already. I do not trust these 3 projects
Thanks for input, I was also thinking about removing florin. Liked their Alexandria project, but the progress in the past months wasn't good.
Cappasity is touching the VR part, something new in the cryptospace, what's making you not trusting them?

I had a similar problem.  Bad time in the dip this week but action needed.  Cut out the holdings that are small gains or losses.  They are the weak.  Dont keep "just in case they rise", because they'll be the ones to fall most next dip. You can always buy back in future if they hold firm and you still think they have a future.
Thanks for advice. No losses so far Smiley and you're right - I can further watch the market and do some more simplifying along the way...

Simplify my portfolio!
by
Pericle13
on 08/02/2018, 21:13:55 UTC
Hello Guys,

I have built over last 8-10 months a diversified altcoins portfolio.
I have recovered my initial investment on all alts, and now I keep them for long term perspective.

I have 21 coins in my portfolio, and I think I am a little bit overstretched and too diversified Smiley.

Giving the current undergoing dip, I thought would be a good time to simplify my portfolio and ditch some of the not so promising coins.
So I would like to sell some coins and strengthen my position in others, while reaching a target of 10-15 coins.

My portfolio is:
1Verge XVG14%
2Bitbay BAY14%
3Stratis STRAT11%
4Ark ARK9%
5Status SNT6%
6Komodo KMD6%
7Shift SHIFT6%
8BitcoinCash BCH5%
9ZenCash ZEN4%
10VeChain VEN4%
11RaidenNetworks RDN3%
12Zcash ZEC3%
13Ardor ARDR3%
14SysCoin SYS2%
15Viberate VIB2%
16OmiseGO OMG2%
17FlorinCoin FLO2%
18Cappasity CAPP2%
19Humaniq HMQ0.7%
20Nxt NXT0.7%
21Ignis IGNIS0.6%

So let's simplify this portfolio - what to ditch and what to keep?

Thanks.

anyone got luck with rx 550  mining on this.

here is what i have in my bat file
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20570 -zwal skyline88908.new2 -zpsw x

it just closes any help would be awesome

try this:
set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

and make sure that zecminer64.exe is in the miner folder.
