Ethnic Russians in Ukraine, take a note. Serbs and Croats in Bosnia, you too.

you can, but it's legitimacy is usually questionable Cheesy

Quote
There are two major points contained within the Charter of the UN: territorial integrity of sovereign states, and people's self-determination. You can't have both, it's either former or the latter. Problem with the West's approach to Yugoslavian crisis was that it was dishonest and lacked basic consistency. West was constantly jumping from one point to another and back, twisting or overriding international laws and even their own previously established principles. You can't destroy one multinational country under the pretext that every constitutive nation has rights to choose its own path, and in the same time claim that Bosnia, another multinational regional country, must stay united at all costs and use sanctions and military power to keep Bosnian Serbs and Croats -also two constitutive nations- within its borders. Or to tell that all former Yugoslavian republics should keep their borders and to encourage some to crush secessionists (like Croatia was allowed to destroy Serbian rebels, or Macedonia Albanian rebels) and then, only several years later, to embrace rebellion of Albanian ethnic minority in Serbian province of Kosovo and support their secession.

This, my friend, is called politics of double standards - notorious Western specialty! It's not possible to achieve fair, long lasting peace like that, by giving everything to one side while taking everything away from another. Reality is black and white only in dumb Hollywood movies.

the Wests approach was to preserve Yugoslavia until Vukovar happened, after that the West leans on the other side, the West doesn't want a new aggresive country to prove everyone that they can go around invading countries and disobeying the rules of warfare Cheesy

it is basically as simple as that, they did support Yugoslavia but when Serbs started the ethnic cleansing the rules changed so it's not actually double standards

Quote
also two constitutive nations
3 constitutive nations, 2 entities, 1 country

Quote
some to crush secessionists (like Croatia was allowed to destroy Serbian rebels, or Macedonia Albanian rebels) and then, only several years later, to embrace rebellion of Albanian ethnic minority in Serbian province of Kosovo

for starters, you can simply see war wouldn't stop if the Serbian rebellion wasn't stopped
Serb majority areas weren't connected and they were splitting Croatia in 2 parts, by simple means you can see it wouldn't stop there Cheesy
Serbs would want to connect with their mother land trough lots of areas with Croat and Muslim majorities and along with Mihailovics plans leaving mayhem behind Cheesy
while Kosovo is even connected to Albania

only other reason Serbs lost Kosovo was not double standards, it was aggresion on Croatia and Bosnia&Herzegovina

Americans saw Serbia as a new threat to international peace and as Serbs used force earlier they wanted to use it again
Westerners simply used them as an example that disobeying them won't be tolerated

Hardly any Bitcoiner would like to live in a place without modern infrastructure, and the free places where you can start micronation, rocks or very small islands have 0 infrastructure.

you fail to see the point

we would build the island on our own and of course the infrastructure too

most of the infrastructure would be built by land owners on their own land which they got along with their shares..

Paid sig spammer, either doesn't bother reading threads he's replying to (likely since he seems to post every minute or two on average), or repeats posts just to increase his post count. Not something easily seen just by looking at one's post history.

You wouldn't have gotten banned if there was no ad, since you wouldn't be posting redundant posts for no reason other than to increase your post count, so you're partially correct.

that's racist towards members with ads, either forbid ads or allow them

You clearly do not know what racism is. If you are spamming the forum to line your own pockets, everyone suffers.

I am not spamming, I made a mistake responding to that thread but it is not spam

According to wikipedia
Quote
Forum spam consists of posts on Internet forums that contains related or unrelated advertisements, links to malicious websites, and abusive or otherwise unwanted information. Forum spam is usually posted onto message boards by automated spambots or manually with unscrupulous intentions with one idea in mind: to get the spam in front of readers who would not otherwise have anything to do with it intentionally.

Quote
Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages (spam), especially advertising, indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social spam, television advertising and file sharing spam. It is named after Spam, a luncheon meat, by way of a Monty Python sketch in which Spam is included in every dish.[1]

Quote
It's content being contributed because you want to contribute vs content being "contributed" because you want to get paid.

that is your and his opinion
it's not in the forum rules

as long as I am not spamming I should not be banned for spamming

In Europe as a whole, a delicate equilibrium exists between the Catholics and the Muslims. This is the case not only in Bosnia, but also in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia.etc The prominent Catholic figures, including the Pope doesn't want to destroy the equilibrium by changing the status quo in Bosnia. This is not just a conspiracy theory.... I read it in an article in a reputed news source.

true but they don't see if the state doesn't change soon all Croats will be assimilated, Federation will become only Muslim

we have lost 20% of our population in 20 years, the numbers are getting worse..

when we say something about a third entity we get ridiculed and declared "separatists"

for example when Milan Bandić mentioned creation of a 3rd entity he lost his titule of an honorary citizen of Sarajevo

it's too sad but Croats from Bosnia&Herzegovina are on their own, they will most likely get no help from RH at least until the new elections..

you have to understand this isn't even the alpha phase yet, we're just discussing how it should be done

today by a recent poll over 80% of Croats want their own entity..

If you sit at your home watching stupid American propaganda films on your television, you will not get your entity. You need to organize protests, before Muslims (whose population is exploding) displaces you from your own territories. Tactically cooperating with the Srpskan authorities may not be a bad idea. Once you get your own entity, you can merge it with Croatia.

that will most probably never happen, as king Alexander of  1st Yugoslavia responded to a question about independency requests from Croats "Croats are pacifists" , we will most likely not do anything

the problem is the world sees the Bosniaks as the only victims in the war, no one knows about the crimes they did
the world will probably take their side and that will harm the reputation of Republic of Croatia while the Croats from BiH will never want to do something that will harm RH..
while people from RH don't really care about Croats from BiH

liberalists own all the mass media here, that is the main problem we're in this situation today

but you support Crimea, how come you don't support Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia?

Those are the territories where Croats are the majority, they would of been even larger if Serbs didn't chase out muslims from eastern bosnia which fled and then settled on our territories

I'm not a facist or anything, even tough we have historical claims on Bosnia&Herzegovina I only want the parst where we're the majority

Herzeg-Bosnia should have been Croatia, that is the main reason of accusing Franjo Tuđman for pretensions on Bosnia&Herzegovina..

altough Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia was not a country on it's own but only an entity (like the Serbian Republic in BiH today)

And even today I would die for Herzeg-Bosnia, it has been enough of oppression and centralisation from the Muslim society

Who said that I don't support the Croat Republic? I want the quasi state of Bosnia to be split in to two. The Serbian majority areas should merge with Serbia and the Croat majority areas should merge with Croatia. The Muslims don't belong there and they can migrate to Turkey or Pakistan.

But that said, it was the Croats who decided in 1993 to form a federation with the Muslims.

that is true, but under some rules

we were played but their politicians, removed from all rights..

today by a recent poll over 80% of Croats want their own entity..

"representitive" of Croats get 0% of votes from Croatian territories and all the rest from Muslim territories as they pick who will represent us
Komšić is not a real Croat, only a sell-out

we don't get to pick our own representitives, get overvoted by the muslims and get robbed financialy (as a recent investigation says richest town of Herzeg-Bosnia Široki Brijeg gets only 5% back from everything they pay in taxes, even roads they build they hire Muslims to work on them), that is not what we agreed too
we expected equality, we did not get it..

one more thing about it..
some say it's a crime
but when Serbians invaded Ravno (Croatian village in Bosnia&Herzegovina), Alija Izetbegović (President of Bosnia&Herzegovina) stated I quote "This is not our war"
if he claims this is not their war then he admits Ravno is not a part of Bosnia&Herzegovina, how come we're accused for pretensions on our own territory?
what was there left for those people to do when BiH did not want to defend them but to organize their own defenses (HVO and the republic)

Quote
You said that you're not aware of any Croatian paramilitary, I showed you two major formations, and -apparently- we agreed on that. Don't forget that there were more, for example Croatian far right-wing Party of Rights had their own militia. So, while Yugoslav People's Army had constitutional obligation to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yugoslavia, looking from the point of international law ZNG and HOS were illegaly formed paramilitary units and thus everything they were doing, at least until the Sarajevo agreement had been implemented, was clearly illegal. It is not my intention to discuss war crimes. I could, of course, but let's leave body count and hypocrisy of both Croatian courts and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for some other topic.

by that logic all of our forces were paramilitary since you reckognize Yugoslavias claims on that territory
you cannot claim a territory simply because a constitution of one country says so

Quote
That was true only until the fall of the Berlin wall and the destruction of Soviet union and Warsaw Pact. After that, western powers decided it's perfect time to destroy Yugoslavia and to produce whole bunch of small, weak countries in the Balkans which are easily manipulated. Separatist movements have been actively encouraged by the West both politically and logisticaly, and the territorial integrity of sovereign Yugoslavia, member of the UN, has been simply thrown down the drain.

not true, for one example take Zvonko Bušić, if they wanted to break up Yugoslavia they wouldn't give him a life sentence Cheesy
when Tito died so did Yugoslavia start dying

Serbian nationalists started rising, other nations did not like it, they did not want 1st Yugoslavia all over again, that is when Slovenia declared independence and other nations followed
Serbian attack was inspired by nationalist creation of Great Serbian not for maintaining Yugoslavia

Quote
What is important here is to remember that they gave the rights of self-determination to all member nations of Yugoslavia - except the Serbs.

no, they gave all socialist entities that existed in Yugoslavia the right to self-determination

those war Socialist Republic of Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia&Herzegovina.... etc.
they did not want to let countries form by historical rights or ethnic rights but only as those entities existed
therefore we have the smallest borders we had in times of peace in our entire history Cheesy

while Serbians came with larger borders gaining whole Vojvodina
later on they lost Kosovo Cheesy

Quote
As far as I know, Bosnian Serbs are not against the re-creation of Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia. How about you? Do you support their Republic of Srpska?

I completely support it, altough Bosanska Posavina should not be there Cheesy

I'm not sure I heard of any larger Croatian paramilitary unit, are you sure you didn't mix up nations? Cheesy

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has tried a number of Croats for war crimes during the Balkan wars, along with Serbs and Muslims. Even Franjo Tuđman is accused of war crimes in Bosnia and Krajina. All the three major ethnic groups committed massacres and other crimes during the war. You can't run away from the accusations.

tried, only tried

Quote
Even Franjo Tuđman is accused of war crimes in Bosnia and Krajina

only accused

I can post videos if you want to where is clearly visible that Serbs organised themselves to flee the area when they found out that operation Storm has started
their soldiers in tanks ran over their own civilians in order to escape

in Bosnia

he was accused that he had pretensions on Bosnian territory which is true, we wanted to liberate Banja Luka from Serbian occupation but the Americans did not allow us to do so, they knew we would keep the territory

I personally find this all crap

He is also accused for pretension on the territory since he supported the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia which Americans shut down in the Washington agreement

but I also find this crap Cheesy

Croats settled in Bosnia&Herzegovina in the 7th century, we were 96% of the population there until the Turks came, even in the 2WW most of the muslims there issued themselves as Croats
almost all of them

and when Yugoslavia fell apart, we weren't able to claim the muslims for what they truly are..

somehow an unnecessary new nation has been created a new country that never existed before, 3 nations merged in 1 country

okay, I understand for Banja Luka
it has been our town in the past but now it has Serbian majority okay..

but you support Crimea, how come you don't support Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia?

Damn... seems like we have some competition:

http://mw.micronation.org/wiki/Associate_State_of_Bir_Tawil

they're competition only on paper Cheesy

To be fair, lepirate repeatedly said that it would be easier to build on Antarctica than it would be to claim Bir Tawil or colonize Mars. He never claimed that it would be easy though. In fact, he claimed that it would be hard.

I'm not at all interested in discussing all technical details (basically because I'm not really read in on all technicalities), but the fact remains, it would be cheaper and easier to: Build the base, make it inhabitable, find the people willing to live there, make it self-sufficient.
Also, I think lepirate agreed on the artificial island thing earlier in this thread.

He clearly said it was easy until faced with facts, and change his stance from easy to easier than .
How can you say it would cheaper and easier without even getting proper solutions, lets just put things into perspective here which important here:
his plan is to be build an independent nation/area where a group of people can live independently from other countries, not only politically independent but in almost every domain, aka energy independent, supply independent ect ect achieving such a think is no easier than going to Mars and this was my whole argument.

How can talk about facts if you can't talk about technical challenges and cost related to those challenges it is not logical by any mean.

Now if you want to have a station on Antartica for a small group of people (a dozen of person) that will not live there permanantly (to this day Antarctica has 0 permanant habitant for reference) and that you'll be supplying from the outside world all the time sure that's much much cheaper and technically less challenging than going to Mars, this goes without saying, but the other thing that goes without saying, is what's the point in this case.

Yeah, but remember that once on Mars there's no way back (unless we develop return crafts as well, which would raise the price with a few more billions). Most people running from NSA and IRS will not be willing to do that.
Also, we would not have any use for bitcoins whilst on Mars anyway. There's nothing to buy there, so there would be no use of bitcoins, not even money (depends on the size of the colony).

With those things even the original idea is gone, with its freedom for bitcoiners and weed.
It would be cool with a colony on mars though.

No way back? you just take your space craft to get you back with or even send it before hand <.< , euh hello Apollo program, the challenge of getting of Mars is much easier than lifting of earth due to the low gravity, and the heaviest thing in a space craft is fuel, and you can create rocket fuel on Mars surface while carying minimum of chemicals that are not easly available/produceable on Mars.

There is no doubt that such project will cost billions of $ I'm sure I mentioned this, but anything related to owning own land and nation would cost as much, unless it is very small

we started discussing Mars too much, we should create a new thread about it..

someone else do it, I have to wait 6 minutes after posting this lol

this thread is about Bir Tawil, let's not mix stuff up too much Cheesy

what the hell are you talking about?

I'm not sure I heard of any larger Croatian paramilitary unit, are you sure you didn't mix up nations? Cheesy

Croatian National Guard (ZNG), later part of Croatian Defence Forces (HOS) were both paramilitary formations because in the time they've been formed only Constitutionally established and legal military force in Yugoslavia was Yugoslav People's Army (JNA). There has been much more (at least dozen) other small paramilitary Croatian units but these two were major. Croatian self-declared independence was then pushed against the Statute of Yugoslavia, thus illegal. But as Bryant said, unlike Russian minority in Ukraine Croats enjoyed strong political, financial and logistic support from the western powers who, in pursuit of their own strategic goals in the Balkans, decided to break international law, ignore Charter of the UN and Yugoslavian territorial integrity and to recognize Croatian secession, sending Yugoslavia into the nightmare of civil war.

they were paramilitary only 1 year, then they integrated themselves into HV (Hrvatska vojska, Croatian Army)

0 HOS members have been convicted for war crimes

what crimes are you talking about?

Quote
But as Bryant said, unlike Russian minority in Ukraine Croats enjoyed strong political, financial and logistic support from the western powers who, in pursuit of their own strategic goals in the Balkans, decided to break international law

that is very not true for a couple of reasons

western forces never wanted to break up Yugoslavia, they wanted a strong nation between them and Russia, Yugoslavia was succesfully distancing themselves from USSR and as the leading force of the "3rd block" no one wanted to break it up, that is why I dislike western countries, they wanted to preserve Yugoslavia no matter the cost for their own selfish reasons

when the war started the western countries prevented selling guns to any of the Balkan countries and therefore making clear who they wanted to win, which was of course well armed Yugoslav army
other countries had nothing, we had to use agricultural planes to throw gas cylinders on pinpointed locations..

most of the financial support came from the Croats which were forced to immigrate in the 2nd WW, still we had nothing at the beginning and the UN was preventing us to regain our territory
