ha, ha.!
exchanges! this is a disaster for some unprepared people! you may loose all you have mined there within seconds!
so you have to be extra careful! I just sell there what I have mined, cause it is really dangerous to play.
you do not have power as big whales have and that means you can't control what is going on there.
Yes, you are right, we do not have any power and control.  Undecided
We are common miners and some times traders.  Roll Eyes
We are just trying to do something new and interesting. And can earn on this.

That is right. I trade the coins I mine.

How much does a GTX 1070 do in ethereum?

31.5 MH/s overclocked.

I think the 1070 is better for ZEC mining.

They are the king now. Very efficient.

I have 1060/1070/1080/1080ti... if you cut tdp to 80 you have the same performance per watt for all models. 3.5 ratio

1060 310 with 90w
1070 420 with 120w
1080 540 with 150w
1080ti 700 with 195w

Is that on the wall?

Yes. And more or less what you read on GPUZ.. different from AMD product where 80w in GPUZ will be 100 at the wall (pcie power consume)

That is a good indication. But it should be at least 10% difference due to the PSU efficiency.

Re: Starting a ZEC mining farm: Maximum ROI strategy.

saw a review in youtube about zotac 1080 mini, although it only uses one 8pin pcie (i assumed it uses less power and less heat...maybe), but temps turned me off about 20c difference to galax 1080 HOF...

i think i'm going for zotac 1080 amp extreme, saw some second hand gear that's pretty new ~ $100 less than brand new...i'm not building a 50-100 gpu farm, the price difference with 1070s isn't gonna hurt me, besides gddr5x and extra cuda cores might bring advantages in the future..

..like when people are buying rx 470/480 with 4gb and now they are upgrading again to 8gb, or the time when people are not buying fury series GPU due to its HBM not having advantage for ETH mining.......the cards i will be buying will stay with me for a long time like my 280X's which ROI'd many times..so I'll get the better one..

I heard the GDDR5X is bad for mining.

BTC is an investment itself, so putting money in is always good... Don't turn to burning massively, but the extent to try some is always worth it if gains continue.

Don't forget that the need to diversify is sufficient, so always reserve your fiat.
yes nowadays bitcoin holding is a good source of investment if someone will wait for a longer time with their money and will not spend them or sell them then they will earn a good income when the price of bitcoin will rise in the future.
Yeah I think it is right that now investment is pretty good and bitcoin will rise its price in the future.
But I think you should do trading as well beside investment. From this you should earn more money for the efforts you will be putting to make some bitcoins.

Trading is negative sum game. Only very capable trader can make money.

The hashing power with the gtx 1070 is around 220 with the nheq miner. It is, of course locked, but still gives by far the best profits for nvidia cards.

i don't like that it's locked, and anyway it's better to mine ethereum currently, one thing i noticed is that the estimate on the 1070 is wrong if you use the 1070 field, i don't use that i just put my hash there on whattomine

Guys there is no way to put a right number for everyone. One person will undervolt, one will go max OC, other will do bios mods.
The option to quickly see a hashrate for a number of cards, is mainly for people who dont own the card and are interested in how it performs on average.
You should always input your true hashrate, same is stated on the site under the fields Wink

If you do not undervolt, it is not profitable for most people in the Europe.

Maybe you could be more specific for people who do not know. WHAT specific skills can earn you bitcoin. Web design, code, advertisement?

I think any skills including design, coding, ads etc.
The same as you'd earn 'old fashioned' currency - dollars, euros etc.

Yeah buddy these methods would provide some decent amount of income when compare to fauceting or signature campaign. However here in the forum most of people stick to signature campaigns only due to need of less effort.

If you have very cheap electricity, it is better to mine the altcoins and then sell them for the bitcoin. It is more profitable.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/crowncoin/

profit increased dramatically in 5 months.
now developers are more serious about it.
try it.

The total market cap is $400k. If some of the ETH farmers goes into it, the mining profitability will drop a lot.

Anyone see a dive with their hashrates over the past 2 days? My HD 7950 was hashing 16MH/s and now doing only 6-8MH/s? Not sure if this is a card problem or a Ethereum issue.

I am still on Crimson 16.9.2 drivers.

been experienced this also but now it is back to normal, but payment hasnt reflected to my online wallet since the last DOS attack, when i Checked the etherchain it says it still in balance and the transaction is still not sent, it is still in transaction received, anyone experienced this?

For my 3x RX 480's, it has been the same hash-rate for the last 1 month. Haven't changed anything in the last 2 days.

That is similar to the AMD R9 390. The hash rate for that card has been stable for month after the DAG rise.

In the last 24 hours XMR/BTC fell from 0.0154 down to 0.0130, that's -16% in a single day. Currently at 0.0134. If you think it's going to recover maybe now is the time to buy Wink

The Monero is not supported by big companies like the Ethereum which is supported by Microsoft or IBM.

for me I will continue to buy. This is stable coin price

For now... It was slightly cheaper yesterday, though if you are still accumulating you may want to wait and see where it goes next.

There is limited funds in the altcoin section. If other altcoin price rises, the Monero price could drop further.

Happy to hear that Genesis Mining is rolling out XMR mining contracts. I just got an email from them.  It just proved the acceptance that Monero is getting. Obviously the price hike is due to the demand and we can't rule out a correction coming in. MAybe, it may keep gaining. But XMR seems like  a good candidate to diversify your crypto portfolio into.

Is there a major difference between DASH and MONERO?

The anonymity created by the Monero is in the protocol, it does not require the mast nodes like the Dash does.

I think its true that we should buy bitcoins now as price is low at a moment in compare to last month and it will go much higher in coming months, so its good to buy some now.

That is what I am doing. I buy the bitcoin since the price drops below $580 and I will buy more when th eprice drops again.

With the prospect of a big devaluation in the yuan and a possible exit by Britain on June 23 and the halving around July 10th...with on!y 5 weeks to go .....this is going to skyrocket and you will all be slackjawed when we fly past $1,000 in july like it was nothing...segwit,,lightning network, blockchain adoption by fintech, paypal integration, more e-commerce companies adding bitcoin at checkout, adoption by third world countries as a safe haven asset class etc etc

I'm buying more bitcoin in the 500-600 range.....this is a no-brainer.

well i am sure that person that didn't buy now will regret whole life as there will be small bitcoin price again in near future, but anyway this is good time to buy

I have bought some bitcoins when the price dropped below $500. I think that was very good price to collect.

Now it might be a perfect time to start hard accumulation. Never the fundaments of btc have been this good and appealing. The inflation is lower than ever before.
Over all, I am pretty optimistic about BTC these days. Definetely 1000 usd/btc by the end of 2016 is a no-brainer.

Yeah $1k is not a problem now, we will be seeing this price in this year for sure, so I am busy in buying and earning bitcoin at a moment to get best benefit in future.
thats true, i think that we will easily reach the price of one thousand dollars per bitcoin pretty soon i hope ill make money

It is possible for the bitcoin to rise to $1000 early next year. It will rise to $2000 in two to three years.

Just think about it. The price to create a bitcoin currently is about $280. Double that after the halving, $560. The minimum cost to create a bitcoin is $560, not including difficulty rises. This means that bitcoin should keep going up. If it goes below the price to create a bitcoin, then we know something's wrong.

So that set a floor price of $560. it means the bitcoin cannot fall below $550 easily. Good to know that.

Yes I agree, even if the Britain already exit the European Union, it will be stable as long as many uses it.  Many believes on the capability of bitcoin to the market.  It becomes the leading cryptocurrency.  It is now used and known by many people right now.
I agree with you man. Well I also believe and use bitcoin. I believe that it will rise more now.

The halving could raise the price to $800 or higher. I heard the SegWit is coming, it could raise the price further.

The AMD Nano/Fury line are all MUCH higher core count, faster clocks, faster memory, MUCH wider memory bus - and mine SLOWER than my 2-generation old R9 290s, which routinely see 30 MH and I've not pushed them as far as they CAN go (best figure I've seen for the Nano was 27).

There appears to be more than just pure "memory bandwidth" involved in how fast Ethereum can be mined by a given model of GPU.

With bios mod Fury go upto ~ 35MH, using less power than 290

The Nano is more efficient than the R9 390 even both with undervolt and under clock. It is about 20-40% more efficient.

Bitcoin is going to be in a good place with in 20 years I think, it is not guaranteed so please do not quote me on this. I am not a Litecoin user so I do not pay any attention to it.

I used to mine litecoin. I had quite a few litecoin left. But I do not have a chance to use it. I hope I can use it in the future.

well it'snot fair to compare price at launch, it is known that price after the launch is very high, if you wait some weeks or 1/2 months it will be lower around 600

still worth the lower consumption for those like me that have high electricity cost

If the price depreciation is low after you spend lots of money to buy the high end price, it is still worth it if the power consumption is low.
