Re: How old are you & how much money are you trying to make?
by
PeterTom

o curious to know how much people are trying to make or expecting in crypto.

How realistic and achievable are your target's?

Personally, I do bounty campaigns and try to learn how to trade. But I have my main job and I do not expect to live only at the expense of crypto. I would like to earn of course more, but I will be happy with any additional earnings Smiley

I think that this is so clear, if you invest your money for something, then you are likely to lose everything. Especially on the crypto market, where everyone earns his own way. You need to think only with your own head, and if you do not get it, then it's better not to do it at all.

Re: ICOs Created a Strong 44% Downtrend for Ether in 14 Days
by
PeterTom
on 30/08/2018, 17:43:51 UTC
Within a period of just 2 weeks (August 1 — August 14), the price of Ether, the native crypto of Ethereum network, plunged by 44%. In two weeks, the price of Ethereum dropped from $470 to $260, marking its lowest point this year by plummeting below the $300 mark for its first time since early November last year.

The whole Crypto market faced a sharp decline in real valuation, losing almost $150 billion of its real valuation in within a month. However, Ether, which performed particularly well against the US dollar over other bull Cryptos such as Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, easily turned out to be one of the worst performing Cryptos in August.

Read the details in the article of Coinidol dot com, the world blockchain news outlet: https://coinidol.com/icos-created-a-strong-44-downtrend-for-ether-in-14-days/

https://coinidol.com/upload/resize_cache/iblock/739/900_900_1/7396855ec1795da3a6c5e8ef2c129c14.png

This is exactly what we must believe. Everywhere they say that you need to sell everything to stay with what is. Personally, I think that now is the best time for shopping, because the market shows that there are practically no sellers at such prices.

Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency
by
PeterTom
on 05/08/2018, 11:03:12 UTC
Wouldnt it be nice if each country in the world issues its own crypto currency just like they issue sovereign bonds and they raise funds from there to fund projects in their economies. I know Venezuela tried to do something like that, but the project was already being killed by the governments opponents before it took off.  Now lets assume that didnt happen could it be a good way to create some form of sanity and confidence in the crypto world.

I think that this will happen and this is quite normal. Now each country has its own national currency, what prevents it from making its national crypto currency? And I think that there will be one or two international crypto-currencies, as now the dollar, only it will not be emitted by one state.

Re: Imagine the day where everyone drops bitcoin!

Whats the point of bitcoin anyway? there's no way a normal person will be able to use it on a daily basis!
its not gold (to store for value)...
I think that if this day comes (which I very much doubt), then there will be smart people who will buy all these cheap Bitcoins, then again to sell to the same people for expensive. This game in which you can play for a very long time, why destroy it now?

Re: Investors! What do you Invest in? The project or The token
by
PeterTom
on 05/08/2018, 10:57:07 UTC
Hi Everybody here.

I have seen many investors complain here and on telegram about the token price going down after ICOs as soon as the token hit an exchange, even when the actual project they invested in hasn't be release. Investing in project mean you are interested in the project and you want to be part of it. So It will important that investor should at least give the project sometime to succeed before complaining about the token price. 3 years to 5 years is not too much for an investor to give a project to succeed.  Even Bitcoin as project itself during its 10 years has seen many ups and downs, only the true investors that believes in the bitcoin project are as successful  as bitcoin  today.

That is why i want to ask investors here. What they really invest in? The Project or The token.  I will like everyone opinion here and i will like to learn from you guys also.

Recently, I try not to invest in ICOs, because almost always you can buy tokens cheaper after entering the exchange. While the market is not stable, it seems to me that it is best to invest in the most stable coins, from the top 20, because there is a risk that not popular coins can never grow to their former heights.

Re: How bad are ICOs this year?
by
PeterTom
on 03/08/2018, 17:23:23 UTC
News headline says "76% of This Year’s ICOs Are Already Under Water"  and most of these are ICOs launched at the first quarter of this year.
If you’re going to invest in an ICO, then, the message is clear: be selective, choose blockchain projects over anything else and make sure you get into the pre-sale. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your time and your ethereum.

Watch out folks!  Grin

https://news.bitcoin.com/76-of-this-years-icos-are-already-under-water/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications

It is not a fact, if you will participate in pre-sale, that you will be able to sell your coins at a profit. Many projects after the release on the exchange are collapsing in price and these coins can be bought 5-10 times cheaper than on the official sale. So you need to be careful when investing in ICOs now, there is a big risk that you will lose money.

Re: What coins are good on investing right now?
by
PeterTom
on 03/08/2018, 17:20:27 UTC
I have been searching a lot this time and myself cant decide where to put my money on because there are a lot of altcoins out there and they offer different perks advantages i wanted to limit my choices so that i can decide properly and would not regret it.

Can you guys suggest some interesting coins that have great potential to become huge in the future let me know you thoughts.

It seems to me that now it is safer to always invest in coins that are not the first year on the market. Such coins as DGB, SC, BCN. They have already passed the test of time and have experienced more than one market collapse, so I believe that they will remain even if most of the coins disappear.

Re: The Alt market is testing you: Will you break!
by
PeterTom
on 03/08/2018, 17:18:30 UTC
It is a bloodbath to say the least!
Hold the line: This is do or die!
If the ETF is not approved everything will get worse and take a long time to recover!
It isn’t easy watching money evaporate but we knew that this game was speculative and have to pay the price!
Like I said: Do or die!

Yes, I think that now manipulators check for the strength of those who decided to keep their coins very long. It seems to me that those who decided to invest for a few years do not need to rest assured, because this is a temporary phenomenon and in a month or more the market will begin to recover. It's better to just wait and not make emotional decisions.

Re: How will the Crypto market end in 2018?
by
PeterTom
on 02/08/2018, 19:48:31 UTC

Of course, everyone hopes that the market will repeat the last year's hoard and show a huge increase this time too. But we all know what happens when the crowd waits for one, the market is doing something completely different, this is what scares me most. I also expect that prices will start growing by the end of the year, but I do not expect a miracle.

BCH was created only for the purpose of making money and no more, it was clear from the very beginning. I do not understand those people who hold BCH in the hope for pump, around a lot of other more interesting coins. And those who think that BCH is a real BTC, I wish you good luck and much patience! Re: Why so many inactive participants in bounties campaign.
by
PeterTom
on 29/07/2018, 16:02:21 UTC
Sometimes I  get confused, I  want to know why the people fill in for a particular bounties campaign and they don't participate.
Example :  A facebook campaign spreed sheet list is up to 1200, but you notice not up to 500 active participant.
Does it mean that this other  inactive 700 still gets a reward?

Unfortunately, many bots participate in bounty campaigns. And besides, most people participate in many campaigns at once, so it's not always possible to remember them all. Of course, the participants who are not active and do not receive stakes will not get a reward, why should they?

Re: What are your favorite Altcoins to trade or HODL right now?
by
PeterTom
on 29/07/2018, 15:57:31 UTC
Indeed, it is very obvious that they are so many new and fresh altcoins the market right now but despite all of these, what Altcoins do you invest with and believes it will be a huge success and can give you the desired profit you want?

I chose ZRX, Dent, Iost and OCN for myself. I do not want to trade them now because there is a difficult situation on the market, and the altcoins are almost not growing now. But I think that in a few months we will still be able to see the new season for altocoins.

Re: Nice jump by BTC today!
by
PeterTom
on 29/07/2018, 15:47:26 UTC
Truly today bitcoin bounce is great and if bitcoin will cross 8000 then beyond any doubt it will goes up increasingly and market will be in uplifting position and all alt coin up as well.
Bitcoin has crossed $8,000 this day and many are still not comfortable of the price due to the higher expectation.

We have to forget about the past correction that we went through but we have to keep on working for a better day. While bitcoin hasn't recovered to our expectations of $10,000 or $20,000 or name it.

Bitcoin has been always so good each time that we've been looking at the charts.

I agree with you. I think it's too early to make plans, the price has not grown so much. And I have a feeling that it is very difficult to move the price up, so we can at any time return back to the downtrend. Personally, I will believe in global growth only when the price is above $ 10,000.

Re: Is that possible?
by
PeterTom
on 29/07/2018, 15:43:41 UTC
In my recent bounty participation, all is good and i have been paid in all my hardwork. The tokens that i hardly earned is already in my ethereum wallet and the coin is already traded in forkdelta. But suddenly the telegram channel of the bounty shut down and also the forkdelta is delisting the coin. My question is, is this possible that even the traded coin can be end up a scam? as a bounty hunter it’s not a big loss but i’m pitty on the part of the investors that nagging that they are being scam. How?

Lol. You should know what Bitconnect is. The fact that the coin was issued on the exchange does not mean that the project is successful. If there is a small volume and there is no interest from market participants, it can easily be delisted. I think that you can forget about your coins.

Re: Who will be the new king
by
PeterTom
on 28/07/2018, 17:18:55 UTC
Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?

It's ridiculous to think who will be the new king, given that now only Bitcoin is growing, and everything is falling against it. It will continue to be on the first place, until the market becomes sufficiently liquid to be able to refuse this dependence. The lower the market capitalization falls, the higher the bitcoin domination becomes. When the market will be trillions of dollars, maybe something else will be the top 1 coin.

Re: A large part of the bounty Scam
by
PeterTom
on 28/07/2018, 17:12:24 UTC
I can say 100% that 60% of all bounty is a Scam. The reward for them is either given and the tokens will lie on your wallet forever or do not give at all. Then what's the point of doing this ?

I think in order to earn something, you need to more carefully analyze and study the project, before working with it. If you initially do not like something in it, who makes you participate in it? Most bounty hunters complain about bad projects, although they do not even read anything about it, except for the bounty page...

Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss
by
PeterTom
on 28/07/2018, 16:57:59 UTC
Personally , I lost nearly 1500$  from day trading. I do buy back theory now to recover the loss and invest on potential ico's. now i am going on a slowly steady way ,  if we get greedy then  we end up with nothing.

whats your solutions do you do for cover the loss?
If I bought a coin and it drops heavily I do not fix the loss. I try to trade in order to increase the number of coins and thereby take my minus. But if you do not know how to do this, then just wait, or it can get worse Smiley

Re: NEO 2020 Price Predictions?
by
PeterTom
on 28/07/2018, 16:54:07 UTC
Where do you see the price on 1 NEO in the year 2020? Da Hongfei has said they're going to be the no. 1 blockchain or at least the no.1 platform coin in a couple of years - ambitious or achievable?

I think that if NEO really can become the number 1 platform on which ICOs will be created, then the price can be very high. But I doubt it very much, because it is very expensive to create a project on their platform. Personally, I do not believe in any huge success for NEO, it seems to me that this will be an ordinary coin, the price of which will depend on Bitcoin.

Re: How safe is our money in crypto?
by
PeterTom
on 26/07/2018, 10:28:18 UTC
Money is not at all safe in cryptocurrency, There are so many hackers around here who's only business is hack a wallet of bounty hunters to get money without doing anything.
Your money is safe as long as you remain attentive. If you do not go to third-party sites, you will not send private keys to anyone, but you will observe elementary rules of caution that your money will not be taken away. If you look at how most people lose money, this is mainly due to their inattention.
