ATI drivers 13.x vs 14.x, do you observe change in hashrate?

Since I can't get over 2,5Mh on x13 with R9 290 on 13.x drivers, I  think about changing them.
But because it is a lil bit scary for me (on Linux), I would like to make some research before.

i have a nvidia 650ti and windows 7 x64 .
what i need to mine x13 and what settings should i use ?
thank you !

No x13 on NV yet as far as I know, check the CC/cudaminer thread. They'll probably be adding it soon enough.

I never tried running more threads as I wanted to see how stable this setup is. Here's a 23 hour run:

##export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=50

*Note, I removed TC from my post because it's irrelevant with X11, however I still have it in my .bat file.

Hi!

What is in your sgminer.conf? whis parameters gives me about 9kh Smiley

Gpu thread 1 I 20 work for me on win7

Ok, thx, I will try. Does anybody using Smos linux for mining?

I do.

Can you give me config files?

how is that related to SMOS?

I dont understand your question. I need config file which works on Smos 1.3 for R9 270, R9 280x and 7950. My old gpu setting does not work on this new miner.

I dont understand your question, either Smiley config files are not dependant on OS, only on miner. So there is no config that works best on SMOS, only on particular miner and card.
So it makes sense to ask for 290 config for sgminer_x11mod, not general cinfig for SMOS.

My config is for 290 and is not working very well...

Can someone give a config for 290non-x? Embarrassed

-I 19 --gpu-engine 947 --gpu-memclock 1250 -g 2 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 20481

Gets me 3550 KH/s on R9 290 (non-X).

Does anybody have some better settings? My card doesn't seem to like -g 4 and if I push the engine too high I get driver crashes.
-I 21 --gpu-engine 965 --gpu-memclock 1250 -g 1 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 20481
3.65mhs

I can't get it past 3.3Mh - 2x Sapphire 290

config is
"intensity" : "21",
"gpu-engine" : "965",
"gpu-memclock" : "1250",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"worksize" : "128",
"thread-concurrency" : "20481",
"kernel" : "x11mod"

plus api-* params, nothing more. Compiled under SMOS, without SDK

any ideas?

It depends what kind of r9 290 you have. Is it Gigabyte , Is it Asus, is it Sapphire. On Sapphire i get 3.5 mh/s with default settings and 975/1025

it is sapphire. 975/1025 gave me 22kH Smiley what is default?

I hired PetrGasparik's EURig01 (Scrypt 1.73 MH/s) last night for a 6 hour block. The rig itself said it was online the entire time according to the leaserig.com website however when I checked "My Workers" on my pool's website I noticed there was no activity for this rental. Approximately 30 minutes went by and the rig still hadn't sent in a single accepted share however it had 16 shares rejected. I messed with my pool settings a little bit and even switched to a completely different pool at one point to ensure it was an issue with the rig and not the pool I was using. I sent Petr a message with about 5.5 hours left on my 6 hour contract as the rig still hadn't sent an accepted share. I ended up going to sleep with 4 hours left on the contract and still no shares submitted. I sent Petr a message at this point that I was going to lay down for the night and that I hoped we could resolve the issue amicably when I awoke but when I did wake up about 2 hours ago (12 hours after I originally booked the contract) I still had not received a response from Petr.

As of right now I would NOT hire PetrGaprik or his EURig01 (Scrypt 1.73 MH/s) which is still listed on leaserig. I will update this post if and when Petr responds to let you know if this problem as resolved.

Hi,
I wrote you message on tylerlarkins [at] gmail.com, after half an hour of your rental passed and ranted you 30 more minutes.
There was some issue on my side, that I admited and compensated. I was waiting for reply, if this is ok.
I has not received any message from you. Now I see why - bitcointalk messages are not forwarded to my email.

I play fair, everytime. Why didn't you responded to my email, and wrote this rep instead?

BTCJam is reasonable investment tool for mature investors and borrowers.

Everyone else should go away play in a park in a sandbox.

I am admin of FB group, mostly because I use BTCJam for longer time. But that means nothing.
FB group has no affiliation with BTCJam, it is natural and voluntary gathering of members of BTCJam.
Nothing for scammers, or hit'n'runners.

I hope Avastar will return one day, more mature than today, to acknowledge that BTCJam is one of far better services in this Wild Bitcoin West.

Hi again, accidentally I hired your rig Skynet_1 (I didn't wnt after bad experience with you, but it happened)

My worst dream came true after one hour, when the rig disappeared. I can't see it in my active rigs

Please compensate.

Both skynet_1 and skynet_2 is underperforming.

Should be 1.2 MH but do around 0.8 and 0.9 most of time.

Avoid these rigs. unfortunately, this was order picking so I had little influence.

Re: Question regarding price of the Antminer U1 USB Block Erupter 1.6Gh/s sticks
by
PetrGasparik

Hey there,

Started mining around a week ago for fun and to see if I could figure it out.

I picked up 10 of the 300MH/s for $15 bucks each a few days ago. Now I'm looking into the antminers, whats good price for them?

I'm in Vancouver Canada.  I see them going for upwards of $150 bucks and more.

The seller had a deal for $49 each a few days ago. I wouldn't buy one for more than $60. Not that you'll probably ever get ROI on them, fwiw.

Which seller?

I'm not really worried about making enough to cover the cost of them if I can find them cheap enough.  I'm pretty sure i could turn around and sell
the ones I bought for $15 each for more than I paid for them.

I plan on doing the same with the antminers eventually, if i can find 10 or 20 cheap enough.

I can't  see them worth more than 20cents, see:
http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator
parameters from top to bottom: 20, 0.2, 2, 0.3, 0.2, 0, 2.5 - rest as default .

You can see they break even in 49 days, after which the electricity cost is more than income.
