Re: [ANN] doge.scryptpools.com - DOWN UNTIL PENDING PAYOUTS ARE PROCESSED
by

Almost everyone here believes me to be a scammer.

Please believe me when I tell you all that I am truly sorry for the dogecoins that are owed to you.

Another pool operator has been very kind to me over these past few days and is helping me get through this. You have no idea how badly I feel about this situation. It is draining the life out of me every second of every day.

My words may mean nothing to most of you, but this is the truth.

It is not possible for me to purchase the amount of dogecoins that are owed to many of the miners of my pool. When I first realized this, I abandoned my ship. It was foolish for me to do this and the fact that I did that will make it much harder for anyone to believe a word out of my mouth. I don't blame you but please, read my thread from the beginning, and I hope you can see from the start I gave my pool everything I had.

The person I am working with has encouraged the idea of reopening my pool and has agreed to run it with me to make sure there are no issues with double payouts. Any owed balances will be paid using any and all fees that my pool collects. If / when the owed balances are settled in full, the person who is helping me will take full control of the pool. You will no longer have to deal with me. I'm not cut out for this, and I realize that. This was my first pool and will be my last pool. This is a terrible situation for all of my miners and I'm sorry that I couldn't fix the problems with my pool.

It's not easy coming to this forum and reading the things people are saying. I'm not a bad person. I've done right my whole life. I will do everything I can to right this ship and make things right.

Scrypt Pools had many problems and many coins were lost due to multiple payout problems.

I was in over my head the moment the pool went past 500 mh/s.

I did my best to keep it running but I failed. I'm embarassed and truly sorry.

I will find a way to get enough doges to process the rest of the payouts and reinstate my credibility.

He's trying to say that while everyone is in here complaining about the problems, you're ignoring them and mining, using their hashing power to help you score. Right now, anyone who mines here is only making Phony-tic money as neither manual or auto payments are working, small or large amounts. Trying to pull the sympathy card and telling us how much you're "sacrificing" is a joke, you know just as well as we do that we're all in this for the same reason -- money. You already make a killing considering you have over 3,000 miners and yet you increased the pool fee to 2% solely because you think you deserve it for putting in a few hours on christmas eve (which mind you, didn't fix anything.).....just so much fail here.

it's greed that started this pool, and greed that ended this pool.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

That if you are the administrator Phonetic off this thread and yet in your pool fijaros who was the last descubrido a block. We want an answer now.

LAST BLOCKS FOUND
Discoverer Block Time Real actions
The Phonetic 30422 27/12 10:58:24 528631

I was foolish to ever trust issues after Monday and Tuesday. Until we resolve this administrator and attend payments, I recommend people to be proactive.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to say here. I've re-read this message 5 times and still can't figure it out.

There are problems with this pool, it's been stated many times by myself, and others in the thread.

There are many here who were paid double of what they should have been paid out. That's my fault. I've transferred 50 million doges purchased on cryptsy to the pools wallet over the past 7 days to pay people out. I'm running a loss of 20 BTC on this pool. You will get your coins. If you think I'm a scam, I don't want you here, period.

ok I'm calling bullshit.

first, horrendous downtime (been here since before it even started)
second, dogecoin disappearing from my wallet was a red flag.
2% pool fee now and almost every high-paying block is getting orphaned?

what. the. fuck.

I'm just glad I got most of my doge out...this is looking shadier by the minute.

I'm surprised by your comments. I spent the majority of christmas eve and christmas day working on this pool.

Orphan blocks happen. That is out of my control, and they suck for everyone in the pool. Our pool orphan rate is 1.21%. It's not nearly as low as I want it, but it's not a bad rate.

If you have coins missing from your account, you need to send me a PM immediately.

The pool has its issues, and I'm working through them. I will always welcome anyone to mine at my pool. I understand if you don't want to mine here, and you are free to mine elsewhere if you are not happy with it.

I don't want to lose any of my miners but I understand your frustrations and if you have to leave, I will always welcome you back if you decide to come back in the future.

I have mined at many pools and have had great experiences but have also had some very bad experiences. I love this pool, and I work extremely hard to make it work. This is my first pool, and I care deeply about it and the satisfaction of my miners. This pool is nothing without it's miners. I know that.

Please, if you are having issues or concerns, send me a PM.

Stratum is up and working. I'm stepping out for a few hours so am disabling the website.

Mining is working.

I will enable the website when I am back, however every time I re-enable it, the database is overflowing and causing stratum disconnects.

I'll be monitoring from mobile device and will be back to work on the pool soon.

Pool should be back running smooth for now. Will be monitoring it closely.

I hear what you're saying about the smaller miners but they deserve to be allowed to mine here as well as anyone else.

We will be invite only for now, at least until I have us running on 3 servers.

Dude , since yesterday you are crashing your pool on daily basis. It crashed today like 20 times.

Pool website is also unaccessible most of time.

I think reason for that is too much miners on pool which hardware cannot manage .

pool worked fine until it was on invite only, once it was open for registration again , other users connected and pool started to crash.

I am mining on it like whole day and I got just one payment today .

My cards which run on 750 khash/s deliver to pool only 350-400 khash/s rate because pool cannot manage more since registration are open for public.

I understand we are overloaded and I'm working on the database as we speak. It should be better in 15 minutes.

Registration was closed a few hours ago. Won't reopen until new pool software is up.

I will get everything sorted out. Please do not worry. I'm doing everything I can in the free time I have to fix all of the issues the pool is experiencing.

The frontend has been really acting up as we've grown. To address this I have ordered a new dedicated server that will be used solely for the database. The database is crunching tons of data every second and on long rounds everything becomes slow.

Stratum will be moved to it's own server as well.

We will have 3 total servers, 1 for the database, 1 for stratum, and 1 for the website.

I'm doing the best I can and please trust that I will make sure everyone is happy. I will take care of my miners.

There will be big changes to the pool in the coming days/week or so. I am around 75% done programming a new frontend/backend to manage mining. The database queries will be much more efficient, and there will be a lot of differences from the current software. We can not continue to grow on the current pool software we are using (php-mpos by TheSerapher).

We have come far since the launch of Dogecoin and the launch of this pool on Dec. 8th. We were on a 1 GB ram server with 2 CPUs at that time. I hope you can see that I have and will continue to better the pool as we grow, and I will not leave anyone hanging.

I have obligations tonight as it's Christmas eve, and will be with family, however I will be making sure the mining is working. Have a great Christmas everyone.

So the other pools that haven't found them for hours are having a similar issue? Or unlucky?

Not sure about the other pools CoinMando, I can only speak for our pool, and it wasn't bad luck for us, we found blocks, website will be back up shortly so you can see

so were the payouts of those blocks reflected to the accounts already?

As of now, they have been reflected to the accounts. The website is back up, all the crons have been run.

Mining is back up, the website will be down until the database back log is finished processing. Shouldn't be much longer, but there's at least 20 unprocessed blocks that we found (when the website said we were 4 hours since we found a block, that's the cron getting stuck, we had actually found many blocks in that time.

You know I don't worry about the payouts much in this sense but why aren't ANY pools I can see finding blocks?

Who is finding the blocks? The blockchain is progressing as normal but most pools haven't found a block in HOURS.. SO... WTF?

The cron tasks were just stuck. We've been finding blocks this whole morning. You'll see it reflected on the website soon. Working hard to get us working smooth again.

Well, I wish you weren't leaving my pool but I can't stop you. Good luck at the other pools to those who left.

Those who are staying, I will get the lag fixed.

I am a human, I do need to sleep. I'm awake now and working on the server.

Those who have been here for some time know I fix the problems, and payouts will always happen.

Phonetic can you please address the hours long wait for manual payout requests? It seems as though the system doesn't even process the order unless I spam it.

The payouts should be going out every half hour. Sometimes they may take 45 minutes if the database is behind.

A few hours ago the server was hit hard and mining went down, as well as the automated payouts. That has been fixed, so you should be receiving payouts.

When you request a manual payout, it doesn't process instantly. It marks your account as having requested a payout, and every 30 minutes (at xx:00 and xx:30 of every hour) when the payouts run, your confirmed balance is sent to your wallet address. Please don't try to spam it, if you haven't received the payout after an hour or two, post here or PM me.

What happened to web interface? Apache down?

It looks like the pool is having some problems too right now - my miner keeps going up and down - getting a few shares and then disconnecting. It looks like it's back up for now at least though.

Should be back as of about an hour ago. Let me know if your miner is still having problems connecting.

Website and stratum have been up and down for the past few hours at least. Website now seems to be working fine, but my miners are not connecting. Earlier my miners were doing great, but I could not access the website. Bummer. I'm sure someone is aware though and hopefully should be back up and running full steam soon. In the mean time I should probably figure out how to set up backup pools with cudaminer.

Are you still having trouble?

First dogecoin pool to exist (created ~4 hours after the Dogecoin launch).

Our miners have generated ~2.5 billion coins already.

Withdrawals every 30 minutes. (0.1 DOGE withdrawal fee)

3 GH/S pool hashrate.

Very low 0.5% pool fee.

Much fast website.
