Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world?
by

Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?

If you really understand crypto you can at least explain to everyone you know about it. The advantages are great and we can rebuttal the negative information being circulated by bitcoin detractors. For me hackers and scammers should also be captured so us not to give a bad image.

Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency?
by

on 07/09/2018, 22:36:09 UTC
The risk in the virtual currency market is the risk of losing some or all of its capital when the investor performs the investment or virtual currency transaction. Identify the risks before conducting a transaction, helping them to know the specific loss rate in each case of investment will be how to, minimum and maximum how to decide the scale of investment, the first time investment, time of investment completion, and other relevant factors.

Risk is always part in any investments. Managing risk is not that easy but for too much expectations can give you more frustrations. So for me i just balance my mind positively, expect the worst and make myself healthy all the time. I usually have a plan b incase things won't work out.

one you can buy low and make a good profit when it burst?

There are a lot of coins nowadays and its up to us to have gathered most of them sometimes they are more profitable. Its hard to tell which coin  to invest it depends on your capacity and affordability.

Re: Crypro will make people smarter?
by

on 07/09/2018, 14:24:16 UTC
I reflect on the fact that lack of regulation in the field of crypto currency, gives wide opportunities for scam projects. And it will not be possible to regulate the cryptocurrency, no matter how much the goverments want to do it. In the fact that in the world of crypto, lots of scammers and they remain unpunished, I see one big plus.

People will be forced to learn to be more insightful, calculating and rational or will be scammed. Protection from the state decrease our instinct of self-preservation and slowed our development.

Crypto currency will make the next generation of people smarter.

Let's discuss this topic.

Agree, that people will become smarter because of the eagerness to become rich i  crypto we tend to learned more about it, we read about it, we do reasearch about it and we become entrepreneur, investors, traders, bounty hunters and we can also manage our time and resources. We can be very keen with our finances.

I thought about the unpredictability of bitcoin and its current status and it made me realized that this might drive people away from getting into cryptocurrency. What do you think are the other reasons that will keep people from using bitcoin?

Maybe the fear of losing there money. The unpredictable fluctuations and the negative reviews and comments by bitcoin detractors. I wish that people will validate and make sure to learn nore about bitcoin prior avoiding it.

The society is divided into haves and haves not, poor people are getting more poorer and rich people are getting more richer, Value of money is decreasing and inflation is increasing, Many people around the globe suffer death mostly Africa and asia because hunger and unable to fulfill basic human needs.
What actions should governments need to take and how individuals can contribute?

Economically better needs a lot of works to do. I think we better starts with ourselves. We should learn to be responsible to follow rules and be honest. Help each other. Every children should go to school and be educated becs. They are the future. Also be healthy.

Re: Weak Hands lose money, strong hands makes profits in this game!
by
Piranha1
on 07/09/2018, 10:40:54 UTC
I have been through this time and time again. We go through a dip and everyone is running for the hills or selling their coins.

The trolls come out of their caves and the panic nanny behaviour kick into action, triggering a massive sell off amongst the weak hands.

I woke up yesterday and I saw the price was just above $9000. My first thought was, "Damn, I need to buy quickly, before this goes up" and I did. ^smile^

Most people woke up and the first thing they did was to fire up a browser and to read the comments of these trolls and media shills and consequently selling their coins in a state of panic.

The weak hands will lose money and the strong will thrive in this game. Hodl on people!  Grin

For me it depends upon the situation. I have experience holding my coins desperately unfortunatenly it has already at it's peak and i was not able to earned its highest value because i am holding it. So better understand hold and sell your coins.

Re: Be greedy when others are fearful...

Quote
I will tell you the secret to getting rich on Wall Street. You try to be greedy when others are fearful. And you try to be fearful when others are greedy.
-Warren Buffet

This quote is constantly bandied about as justification to invest in Bitcoin, and especially now that there has been some nice price movement in the upward direction. But this Warren Buffet quote is only relevant with the proper context, which is that Warren Buffet only invests in things he has a fundamental understanding of and can quantifiably value. You can confidently be greedy when others are fearful if you have a sound investment thesis and are a fundamental value investor. This is how he turns his investments into home runs, he knows what he's buying and what it's worth and can weather the negative sentiment until the market learns what he already knows. This doesn't apply at all to a speculative investment like crypto. Following this advice willy-nilly is gonna get you burned because you're misunderstanding the intent and the application.

Don't not buy Bitcoin if that's what you want to do, but don't fool yourself into thinking you're following Warren Buffet's advice. Warren Buffet doesn't speculate, and if you're buying crypto, you're speculating.

I do not want to be successful in the expense of others trouble. I want to make it better and do good things to others. In this time if others are in fear or in trouble maybe we can reach out to them.

If you read news like this https://www.ccn.com/mysterious-asian-whale-begins-funneling-funds-back-to-huobi/ that there is someone who has mysteriously bought a large amount of bitcoin. Then sell. All I can read is that Bitcoin has a fan of "Giant" who likes to invest and sell Bitcoin. This means Bitcoin will continue to run. What to worry about? What I do not want is if there is no Bitcoin buying and selling activity. Because that means Bitcoin no longer has any interest. That's what I should be afraid of.
This is just My Opinion Personally. Please fix it if it's wrong.
That is why i don't easily believe in news i validate it. I do research and ask references such as friends and collegues. I see to it that i do not expect too much and at the end i will become frustrated. I take things lightly as along as i am still happy i will still be here in bitcoin.

I think that I will earn more money and get involved in charity, if I feel good, then why not help people who are just starting their work in bitcoin. We can also help orphanages or people with small incomes, people in large families the same way.

If you are rich enough you have a social responsibility to your country or fellow men. Considering i made it big in crypto my greatest dream would be to send children to school and that all of the people will become literate and make their own lives without being dependent to others.

Re: Can actually Bitcoin be good for the environment?
by
Piranha1
on 01/09/2018, 01:03:33 UTC
A lot has been said about mining and about the electricity consumption of the activities related to bitcoin mining. However, I have thought of the alternatives and how other systems produce not just energy waste, but also plenty of useless work and "human waste".

To have a network that can ensure the completeness of transactions, the global accessibility and all the features that bitcoins, and many alts, have at the moment, would probable produce a huge carbon footprint. Just think of the VISA system or the banking system... the amount of people working on it, the waste of commuting to works, the infrastructure.

Thinking of all that, would you still say Bitcoin is bad for the environment?

No i don't think so. Even without bitcoin the world is already changing to a compiter technology. Even the small children or even infant uses electricity for their gadgets. Bitcoin is just a part of this technology. Its the plastic waste that are causing harm to our environment.

Re: Crypto is dangerous....
by
Piranha1
on 31/08/2018, 13:53:10 UTC
Hello everyone, Today i'd like to share my story.
So in 2017 in sept, I first mined some electroneum coins and they were worth like $200 later, I as a student couldn't afford to buy Bitcoins for trading or holding, So mining did helped me ETN was a good coin, i would mine like 50 a day and it turned 20cents each, I got addicted to crypto and trading but i was scared to trade and lose those 200$ because then i'd have nothing, So from Sept to Nov, i'd just watch graphs and look at coins, Watch videos, try to learn trading and everything and in December i started trading and you guys know what happened at December 2017, But i was prepared so my $200 turned into like $150, still a loss but anyway.
But it went like this and i kept trading and everything, and i was in love with it...... Sadly in my Exams, I failed 3 papers in total 5... Because of Crypto, it takes you away from Real world, So i was disapointed because of it.
Now i trade carelessly without emotions, and i went above $200.. I saw many times and now experience told me its true that trading is 10% skills, 10% luck, 10% patience and 70% emotions....

good luck and enjoy your lives and don't ruin anything.

Edit: I still have high hopes from Crypto and i think this will change my life and i'll be not worrying about Studies later, But like people say "Don't put everything in one Basket" , so always have a backup. Study is my first priority and Bitcoin can be my side struggle and with luck and hard work, i might not have to worry about studies then.

I don't buy in that crypto is dangerous it is only risky that is why people are afraid to be involved in it. I hope that some day people will look crypto in another prospective which is a life saver.

Re: why the state does not print a lot of money?
by

why the state does not print a lot of money? than debt to other countries. is not it easier to make money than debt and ultimately burdens the state?

whether if printing money will have an impact on the money itself? or will it impact the value of the money in the eyes of the world?

Printing money depends on the natural resources of a country. You cannot make print monet when you want to. If the country will not regulate in printing money it will be priceless or no value at all. In this world everything should be balance so as money.

The worst mistake that we will commit is when we compare ourself to other. You are greater than other people and also there are greater people than yourself. Make their success testimony as a motivation of your own self and start even just a little. Take a step to begin your journey here in crypto.

Most of my friends don't want to learn and understand cryptoworld with their blockchain technology, because they are lazy (better they going to play videogames Cheesy). But some of them heared me and now earn a good money now.

Sometimes it is very hard to convince people especially when money is involved. They need proof and hard data in prior decision is made. I usually let them read the bitcointalk. Org then ask what are there understanding and let them see my earnings.

Too early to talk who will be the champion next season. Players are still weighing where or which team they will go. Still the Golden State Warriors will be the barometer of all the teams in the NBA. Lebron James will be recruiting an army of star players so he could dethrone the Warriors this year.

I admit to you honestly, I have never read the white paper of the crypto project, and I think ninety-five percent of investors have not read it, and ten percent of investors do not know what it is.
even if other have not read whitepapers it does not mean that you should not read also. Whitepaper is there for you know what kind of a project you are going to invest. You may even detect if that project is a scam or not through their whitepaper.

I have observed for the last five months, tokens which was listed on the exchange usually dropped in terms of price and until now have not yet recover to it's ICO price. With this scenario i think with it is better to buy tokens on the exchange, most probably on dex.
