Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project?

Could be two reasons. They were a scam, or the support, volume, etc made it a dead coin.

This should be like trading. You have to diversify and have tools for self protection. What if god is just not feeling it on a particular day. Right?

It's hard often time for people to consider the negatives. That's human nature, and I'm human so I can relate heavily. You become part of a project, you're so excited about it that you don't consider the negatives.

From what I've seen, to be a good trader you have to fail and fail a lot, and that's how you gain experience. Simply listening to the experience of others is not enough.

I've traded with Etherdelta before. It was very unsmooth and a bit un intuitive. But I guess it's ok once you get the hang of it.

Even when your trading logic is solid, and based on watching other successful people, following the logic is the hardest part. It's simply not that easy, emotions get in the way.

If you were trading Bitcoin when it was at $10, doesn't that mean you're a multi, multi millionaire? Or did you make mistakes along the way? What's the motivation for this?

It depends on the type of job your have. If you're a heart surgeon for example, trading on the job would be beyond irresponsible. Or if you're a security guard sitting in front of a monitor checking things out. Those are obvious. But if you work say in a computer lab, or in a job with lots of down time. Then yeah.

This one is easy. Super Metroid, aka Metroid 3. Though my favorite of the series is Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Funny how I haven't been here for so many months, I log and this is the first topic that I see, considering that my name is Planet Zebes, which is the main location of Super Metroid.

Ego. You don't want to admit to the other person that you were wrong. I think that would be number one.

Other reasons are high emotions. Awkwardness. If you're a "tough" macho kind of guy and the situation is emotional.

This happened to me all the time. Constantly. To the point that I just left. I couldn't take it anymore, too much emotional pain. But I'm trying to get back in it, and just try to learn.

Re: Crypro will make people smarter?
by
PlanetZebes
on 31/07/2018, 03:28:38 UTC
I sort of disagree with you that cryptocurrency makes people smarter. I think the more appropriate term is that crypto makes forces people to read carefully and understand how it works or you will lose hard earned money and savings you cannot afford to lose. Just like investing in any other things, you also have to be smart (smarter even) when you get into crypto or you will just be handing over your investments to hackers and scammers.

Exactly it forces you to live life in a life or death kind of situation.

That's why it's good to have a working open source project, that way the public can audit the code. A lot of ICOs don't release the source until much later though.

Re: The rise of Myopia
by
PlanetZebes
on 24/06/2018, 20:09:45 UTC
Myopa is often called nearsightedness, people can not see clearly writing, car plates, television, movies, long-distance traffic signs. For myopa patients will look blurry, for students who suffer from nearsightedness should use sunglasses according to size as a tool of vision and sitting in front of the class.

This seems so out of place. It's similar to if the OP asked "Who likes apples," and some responded, "An apple is a fruit that is grown and eaten in many places around the world. Some people can eat it raw, or simply cook it..."

Just saw what happened, unfortunately most of my posts for the week were in the previous thread, so now I only have one. But that's no problem so long as we're back in business. Cheesy Here's hoping for the best.
Lol I agree. As long as we have a working ANN it's all good  Cheesy Most of my posts were there as well, but from now on they will be here AND I really hope that this will never happen again to our ANN. The good thing is that the source of the problems was found and now that we fixed it, we're good to go.

I'm lucky that I post mostly on other parts of the forum, which is something that I suggest for everyone to do. Don't want something similar to happen right before the air drop.

Only if it's a good project that I think has an obvious bright future. I probably will never see such a project. But if the project can be completely trusted, then yeah. Not some friends that decided to create a crypto.

Maybe they can find an exploit. I know a few months ago here on bitcointalk they had a warning on the top of every page telling users to update their Electrum Bitcoin wallet. Very Stern warning.

If we didn't pay taxes then how do you think society would be? We would have to go back to being hunter and gatherers. Infrastructure would not be there.
