The blockchain is moving again, and Starcoin (Classic) is alive! I even mined a $1588 superblock last night.

Yes, its a dead coin. No, you wont get rich. But it is a fun coin to experiment with! The difficulty 0.000244137. So low you can CPU mine coins right in the client. Old School!
If you are new to the particular coin, know that the client takes a LONG time to come up when you start. Sometimes as long as five minutes. So start it, then go get something to eat. It will be ready when you get back.

And there is the final nail. No chance of resurrection now. It was de-listed because of no block movement. There was no block movement because of high difficulty.

Whats with the populated and active RPC info in the default .conf on first start?
That's rather shady. And of course since everyone knows the username and password, it has resulted in tons of attempts to connect to my db and, I assume, steal coins. I don't have those ports open, but still.
