The staking process is coming along nicely in a few days the wallets will sync without the need of mining.

We still have a lot of valid Batch 1 users that have not claimed their coins. Tomorrow we will send a batch to those who upladed their addresses ( so far around 100).

We have contacted some people for the bounties. Mostly about setting up block explores, but all of them ask for a payment in bitcoins. Since we need some BTC to pay for this , we will start a faucet and use some ads to generate revenue for the block explorers and to generally finance the coin (games, etc that will bring more interest in the coin). If everybody click on the ads I'm sure we will get the money quickly. To be open about it we are thinking about using A-ADS since the earnings from their ads can be easily reviewed by anyone, we hope to have the faucet running in  3 days. If you can setup the block explorer or know somebody that can help us out, please pm us


We have been bombarded by people asking about exchanges, more coins, etc.

We create this coin for the people, you want this project to succeed , don't just wait for the coin to be listed. Think what can you do to help the coin.

We hope to have the network syncing before batch 2, also we have been checking the new users so batch 2 distribuition will be much quicker.

Due to this disproportionate distribution (because of the few suscribed venezuelans), we decided to lower the amount of coins given to the venezuelans, instead of giving 27559 coins each, we will take the number of coins given to the foreigners and multiplying x5 and that will be the total of coins to be distributed to Venezuelans in the first batch

1902 * 5 = 9510 CHVZ for each Venezuelan registered in batch one

We think this is more fair, we are undecided about the extra coins, we are thinking about setting a faucet and share the remaining coins there or bump the reward for the batch 2. Any opinions?.

Wallet sync issues

Right now the wallet is synced, but because the coin use a POS algorithm that kicks in after a week of staking I will have to manually mine some blocks daily in order to update the blockchain, once the POS kicks in and the coins start to stake the wallet will sync without mining

So please keep the coins on your wallets in this first week

Hi, the register process ended the day it should have ended , september 07. It took us 2 days to check and clean the database from all the cheaters. Because there are a large sum of banned users, we are giving 48H to the banned users to contact us IF we mistakenly classified them as cheaters. Also this 48 hours could be used for the accepted users to register their address.

Thanks to the user TillKoeln for pointing us that error. We contacted him and offered a bounty for helping us secure the project. Thanks a lot!


The main ban motives were:

    Users with disposable or fake emails
    Users clearly using double accounts
    Users that got registered minutes after the others with the same email/username style


In 24H the distribution process will begin, please check our first answer in this Q&A to understand the delay. No problem with the wallet not syncing since no coins have been distributed yet.


Yes there is no OS X wallet , we have setup a bounty for it but nobody have claimed it yet.

I guess it is easier to come and complain an scream SCAMMMM than to wait a little.  the sad parat is that now some people started the SCAM SCAM, hmmm what have we scammed? so far maybe 1-2 minutes of their life filling the form, and we say sorry for it.

If somebody feel that we scammed them please don't register the wallet or simple let us know their user and we will delete. 


Sorry we still arround. The thing is we both have full time jobs, family and a life outside the forum, we can't be here 24/7.

• The registration form has been activated for the valid users , log in in your account and register your ChavezCoin address
• Since the banned users list is too big, we will give a chace to the users who think that they got banned for no reason to comunicate with us. Please if you did cheat don't write to us. The main ban motives were:

The out of sync wallet is not a problem, once the coins are distribuited , the POS wil kick in and the network will be stable

• Due to the large number of false records, verification is taking more time than necessary, we hope to have done by tomorrow 09/09
• The master node is already active, the IP address is 104.131.89.149. You need to connect to the master node to synchronize the wallet. To connect to the master node simply follow these steps:
  
  • Create a text file in the directory where the wallet is.
  • Add the following line to the file : chavezcoin -addnode=104.131.89.149
  • After that save the file as: chavezcoin.bat
  • Use the chavezcoin.bat file to start your wallet

On a side note, we would like to communicate that we are very sad and angry about the registration, we have gone trough about 50% of it (~600) and about 1/3 of it are clearly false. We have blocked all the users who were clearly fake to us, but in case that you got blocked and you didn't break the rules, please contact us. We will however ask for some proof.
Also we are happy about the general support of the people but we are just 2 guys who have full time jobs and family , we are doing this in our little spare time, although we are committed 100% with the project, we can't be 24/7 in here.

Well that's debatable, there were good and bad things about Chavez, there are several economic studies that show economic growth (mostly on the first years), but we are aware that economy was not his strong suit. We are more focused on the ideals of equality and help the people in need. And liked or not, Chavez was well known Worldwide, it was a figure that you love or hate.

Hello guys, first of all we want to say sorry in the name of the project. I know we have been away for almost 2 months but several things happened that held us back. To be honest the project was about to be canceled due to differences between the founding crew, we were 5 people, now we are just 2. 

After much thought, we decided to launch the coin, after all, the most difficult part that is the currency itself has been developed and has been working correctly for months, so we have created a simple site to register chavezcoin.org. Also we have changed the original distribution to this:

60% of the coins to the people living in Venezuela
25% of the coins to people outside Venezuela
14% Bounties
1% Developer fund



Coin distribution:
The coin will be distributed in 2 batches, the first batch will be 60% of the allocated coins and the remnant 40% in the second batch. The distribution will be simple, the total allocated coins for each batch will be divided between the registered users in that time frame. i.e

Tomate el tiempo de leer el ANN ahi se explica claramente como se distribuira la moneda y el titulo lo dice claramente 100% POS, por la 2da pregunta una vez repartidas las monedas empezaremos a tratar de listar la moneda en la mayoria de los exchanges posibles, porsupuesto la idea es entrar en los exchanges de mayor volumen

You are right, the concept of full decentralization is very difficult to achieve and not really practical, what we meant is that our coin does not need a central bank to control or rule our coin, so if the government make almost impossible to exchange the local currency (like the current situation in Venezuela) , our coin would not suffer from it.


There will be a list of Bounties in which we will be using that 20% of the funds, it will be available soon , every coin spent from this fund will be publicly announced
