What the hell is wrong with you guys?

Price for PND has been stable around 1-1.2 mill market cap. It's bitcoin price going up that caused the change in value in terms of satoshi. But with USD value it's still the same.

Major PandaBank Patch (v3.0.0) Preview

Pandacoin (PND) Development Team is proud to reveal our upcoming first major update to PandaBank which highlights our intention of once again redefining how cryptocurrencies should be – simple and easy to use. By focusing on providing an optimal user experience for those that are new to cryptocurrencies, we will be setting the benchmark on how all main ‘crypto-wallets’ should function in the future, in order to truly obtain a global mass appeal.

PandaBank will be the world’s first cryptocurrency main storage client with the ability to switch to a lightweight version of the client, ‘PandaBank Lite’. Pandacoin’s main storage mode will be called ‘PandaBank Hybrid’, integrated with ‘Instant Sync Technology’ (IST) and ‘Rapid Blockchain Download’ (RBD); allowing new Pandacoin users to immediately synchronize with the blockchain and see/utilize their Pandacoins right after installation of the client, and reducing the time to download the entire blockchain from 4 to 24 hours, down to 5 to 15 minutes.

Patch v3.0.0 is scheduled for full release within 7 days.

Cryptocurrency for the masses,

The Pandacoin Development Team

This is possibly the biggest crypto wallet innovation that had been released in this history of the cryptoworld? Begs the question why havn't any other alt coin teams tried anything like this before. Blockchains are just going to keep on getting bigger. POS based coins don't want their users using litewallet in general as they dont secure the network or stake, but eventually when we're looking at double digit gigabytes of data, there's bound to be users that need a lite client.

But great forward thinking by the devs. You guys have stepped up your game big time. I no longer have any idea what we as a community should expect next...(in a good way! Cheesy)

the golden first rule: HOLD YOUR PND and you are a millionaire next year  Cool

Yup, there's quite a few notable cases and situations where people sold and got screwed bit time. Here are some examples so you don't make the same mistake to the new Pandas:

- That whale that dumped 1.2 billion PNDs to 1 litoshi? It recovered back to 200 litoshi quickly. No idea what he was thinking.
- Those that dumped PND after the August 30th release from 500 litoshi back to 200 litoshi? Who dumps after such a grand release?
- Siarhei here on bitcointalk, aka @cointrades on twitter. Bragged about making 17.5 BTC by dumping it on 8 satoshi, and trying to do massive fuds to drive prices down. Hope you bought back your pnds at a loss hahaha.

Don't add yourself to the above list mmkay? Smiley

Well thank you for your support and business at BuyPND.com, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your visits there with it's good looks and smooth experience!  I must admit those qualities were assured by the Pandacoin Development team, they have a high standard and made sure of the professional looking as well as working results. I owe a special thanks to Bdanyo for his oversight and guidance on the project, my original functional model of BuyPND.com was quite ugly actually.  I appreciate your frankness and input for UsePND.com too, as it is a more complicated work in progreess however it may take a bit more time before it grows out of the ugly duckling stage. Wink  Yes it is derived from a combination of wordpress components, and we have made no effort to hide that so far.  For UsePND.com I have taken more of an engineers approach, by sewing together a basic theme some plugins and then concentrating on only a limited amount of custom code to add our own specialized functionality.  So far the result is not a fully polished attractive site, but a unique yet very functional sight that could be assembled and made operational and safely useful quickly.  For now learning from the entire development / operational experience as well as all the feedback we receive, especially from UsePND.com members has been very rewarding.  We will continue to listen intently to all of you who have tried UsePND.com even Paying you some Pandacoins for your comments if your registered, your input and the feedback of the Pandacoin devs and Pandacoin comunity as a whole will be important considerations for it's future evolution.  I personally actually prefer UsePND.com to grow and evolve a bit on the slow side for the moment, it is for us still a fun place to try out and experiment with new features and even whole new concepts, while still being a quite useful and reliable place to Use your Pandacoins in various ways.

Best regards,
John Moore

Hi Jommy, thanks for operating buypnd.com, purchases couple hundred dollars worth there, and it's been a smooth experience so far.

Question for you  - do you have any plans to upgrade usepnd.com and give the website a much needed makeover? Currently the user experience is really sloppy and it looks unprofessional - world's apart from the impression that buypnd.com gives.

Current thoughts -

-Too many menu items, rule of thumb for most websites is consolidate it to under 5, with drop down menus
- Lack of branding for the site - looks like an obvious cheap wordpress website (forgive me, but hope you can take the constructive criticism since buypnd.com looks so nice).
              - Need a logo created for your website, and not use the coinpayments.net one
- Footer is messy and does not provide optimal navigation for users

Looking forward to your response

Thanks for getting back Jommy. You'll get more users and credibility if it looks more clean and professional since you can purchase things on there. But awesome to hear that you're developing it. Thanks for your contributions to the community!

I came across an article with some statistics and it got me thinking about current crypto adoption in first world nations. Link to said article - http://cointelegraph.com/news/112311/australias-tax-office-releases-bitcoin-guidelines

Article estimates approximately 40,000 active users of bitcoin from Australia. Let's be generous and factor in another 100,000 'inactive' bitcoin users from Australia shall we? So we have around 140,000 btc users in Australia, but let's round that up to 150,000 figure to make it nice and easy.

Current population of Australia is 22.68 million. So let's factor out 1/3 of the population that are either too young or too old to use cryptocurrencies. This leaves a potential market of 15 million that COULD get into crypto in Australia.

So back of the envelope calculations -

Rough % of bitcoin adoption in Australia = Number of active + inactive users of bitcoin / potential market population that COULD use crypto
                                                           = 150,000/15,000,000
                                                           = 1% approx adoption rate

Morale of the story? PND doesn't need to reach the crypto space. And the PND devs knows that

The above could most probably be modelled for most other first world nations. Now stop and have a think about what's the current adoption rate of ALTERNATIVE CRYPTOS WHICH IS NOT BITCOIN. It's less than bitcoin adoption rate for sure. Is it another 1%? 0.1%? 0.01%?

Have a think about our dev's vision of targeting the masses outside of that approx 1% crypto adoption rate. Every alt coin is fighting within that space. The devs want to escape that ultra small % of current crypto users and reach out to the rest of the other 99%. Even if we are to be generous and give the entire crypto adoption of say 10%, this is still a 10% vs 90% situation.

Have a think about that for a moment will ya my fellow pandas Cheesy

Did you dump your coins in the hype after you leaked the screenshots before aug. 31 and regret that now?

Don't be silly, never sold a single PND, I doubled my holdings after seeing what the devs had planned for the release.

Wow 16BTC buy support at 2sat  Smiley

And a lot of FUD about PND in the Mintthrread

There is no reason to compete with other coins; that causes confusion and problems. You actually do not need to have your wallet open all the time; the stake goes by coin age. Leaving it open just helps secure the network.

Hate to be the one to break it you , But the Coins are in a competition for the people to buy them and keep them at a price above 0 so they do not become worthless.
There are currently a Limited Number of buyers until the coins become a part of everyday life. So I can get Mint and hold at 20% or Panda and hold at 2.5% .
It is a no-brainer Mint Wins Hands Down. Plus any coin that has a rate below 5% will fail when compared to buying utility stocks at 5%.

FYI :
I bounced in the PND forum a while back because they were talking junk about other coins for no reason. Informed them of what they should do to improve their coin.
Their 30 days of hype over nothing was silly at best.
The Panda Dev Dump is just starting to get into full swing.
Enjoy your Panda and I will enjoy my Mint.
 Cool

Uh some people have not heard of inflation? Why doesn't someone just create a coin with 1 million % annual interest and see how fun hyperinflation is?

"Governments worldwide strive to maintain an inflation rate of around 2 to 3% to sustain a healthy economy. Pandacoin is designed to simulate this with an annual inflation rate of 2.5%. Bitcoin suffers from 10% inflation rate for the year 2015."

Glad that's on our homepage. 20% interest = 20% inflation. Topkeks

What I'm seeing right now is most people just expect the devs to do all the hard work and carry them to the top. They've done the hard yards and delivered, but some of you here are ungrateful and unappreciative.

But it got me thinking. What have YOU (as a member of the pnd community) done for the coin lately besides looking at the moon and hoping?

Have you been showing the intro video, homepage, PandaBank, PandaMiner, BrowserMiner and the Crypto Crash Course to people that you know that's interested in crypto but never got started?
Have you donated to PND4PND?
Have you contributed to the Development Community Chest?
Are you actively trying to help out and build services around PND like Jommy99, mtrycz, rghmodz, drake emko and others?
Have you been retweeting and promoting PND?
Have you been suggesting ways on how to improve the coin and help the devs achieve their vision for PND to be the global choice of digital currency for the masses?

So...what have YOU done for PND lately?

Everybody knows that 1PND will not be 1USD during the next days  Grin
But if it possible to adopt THIS coin to the masses, a lot could be possible.
If years ago someone would write about selling bitcoin for 1000usd in the future......

panda brings nothing new it is the same shit as mintcoin both about to die.

What makes masses move is for example blackcoin (young coins), there you see constant development and innovations!

Oh well I think things are clear! BLACKCOIN? Seriously? have you seen that poser retard video? Tongue

I haven't seen that video. Blackcoin was brought up as an example what a dev team and marketing should look like. Not hiding behind tor and meanless nicknames. I'm very cautious people like wolong are waiting in the corner for opportunities like this. Attend events and expose your coins to your grandparents as you say.

Now, PANDA is 47 in market cap with 7000 dollar volume.  Would expect this be a lot more due to big big changes.

BLACKCOIN, with constant decrease in value is maintains a very very good position at 16th place with volume 17000 dollars.

Panda has a long long way to go as there is no innovation there will be no fruitful and prosperous future.

Go to conference. Market to hundreds.

Make coin easy to use, buy, mine and understand. Market to millions.

See the difference? Dev's had stated that they've had yet to market Pandacoin, and had been waiting for the first major update to do so. I couldn't understand why before, but now it's clear - they required the right tools to market to the general population. They have that now, and now even just the crypto crash course will stand its on by bringing in new users to the pandacoin.

Your move buddy.

Late to the party! But awesome work devs! Thanks for delivering and I look forward to Part 2 of 'Rethinking Cryptocurrency' Cheesy

So now we have Pandacoin that is easy to use, easy to obtain and easy to understand, next part will make it easy to spend and accept as a form of payment?! Niceeeeeee.

Btw you misguided poor souls that are buying into irrelevant developments and innovations just don't understand huh? Bitcoin + altcoin adoption is at less than 1% of the general population at the moment, with like 1000 alt coins fighting for the same marketshare. It's not too hard to understand that the real winner is the one that gets used the majority right? The PND devs are heading right into that direction!

Try telling those "cool blackcoin features" to your friends that have only heard of bitcoin and see if they care.

I want to make a statement for the record to address both the individuals who wish to provide negativity within this forum and to those who are naysaying those who are providing said negativity.

If there is a constructive piece of criticism you have--something perhaps that you think Pandacoin is not doing quite correctly, or something that we ought to be doing that we aren't-- please provide it, and support your statement as well as you can with logic and reason, and we will all engage in a reasoned and intelligent discussion with you. In fact, we may even come to the decision that you are correct, and adopt some of your ideas.

However, if your intention is to merely provide something along the lines of "This coin will fail" or "Enjoy the dump" without any kind of discussion or constructive criticism, there's absolutely nothing to be said to you, for you provide nothing substantive, and merely exist here to harm the individuals in this community.

Tl;DR: If you have criticism, provide it with argumentation and logic. If you don't, you won't get a kind reception if you merely FUD.

I have some constructive criticism for you:

- you emited all the coins in advance and then confuse people by saying they can mine the coin (with a browser - ha ha ha)
- you have almost nothing new to offer that hasn't been here before
- you think that visually attractive website will save lack of real improvements

anyway, this coin will die alongside with Dogecoin and pretty much all the altcoins that didn't bring any innovations.

So imagine you spend a day conducting a survey towards the average Joe's and Larry's out there, and asking them to name all the decentralized digital currencies that they know of. How many of them would you think could name more than just Bitcoin and/or perhaps Dogecoin? Most would react to the question with "decentralized-wha?".

The market segment that I've highlighted in my above example would have no clue about any of the 1000's of clone coins. PND is aimed at appealing to those that are outside of early crypto adopters like yourself, myself and the typical crowd that frequents this forum.

^ This. Most people forget about this and get trapped into the mentality of trying to find coins that appeals to early adopters like us.

^ So I was trying to explain to my work colleagues on what I've been so engrossed about lately (Hint: It's PND). Once I got to the topic of buying and mining, and trying to explain to them the current processes of doing it, you can pretty much see their attention die off. They just didn't get it, and kept asking if there's a simpler way to get "free pandacoins with your computer" or "can't I just use my credit card to buy some?"

VeeMiner here doesn't get the the PND Dev's vision, and that's fine. The PND Devs had clearly stated multiple times that they are not trying to appeal to early adopters that run rampard in this forum. Read the above quote, and try to imagine what your so called innovations will impact on the normal technophobe peeps and see if they care.

And just to be clear, and I feel the need to correct you here - from the looks of the things, PND is getting INNOVATIONS THAT MATTER because crypto will never succeed unless it breaks out and is adopted by the majority-

- World's first main wallet that has an internet banking interface AND functionality so normal technophobe peeps can feel familiar with crypto.
- Packaging and design of a coin that is targeted at the normal technophobe peeps, an all-in-one package coin that is easy to use, easy to obtain and easy to understand, positioned to have a GLOBAL MASS APPEAL.

This is innovation that matters. Whilst every other coin is focusing on creating technologies that the normal technophobe peeps don't give a sh*t about, PND is focusing on the important things first - enabling anyone to get into crypto.

These guys are smart, and they are doing it correctly by defining what a crypto SHOULD BE (simple and easy to use), and then most likely are going to pump out the innovations that early adopters care about after. The other alt coin devs are going have to play catch up the moment PND is successful at reaching the masses.

I would like to see you reply and see if you can refute how the formula for success in crypto ISNT the following -

1) Build solid foundation to capture as much market share as possible away from the current crypto early adopters, by targetting the average peeps
2) Once foundation is set, refine AND adopt coin technologies THAT MATTER to ensure coin remains relevant later
3) Profit

I watch the posts here, and am starting to see more from this awesome community starting to GET IT. You, VeeMiner my friend, are not one of them.

My 2 PND Smiley The slogan of "Rethinking Digital Currencies" is just on the ball and so right.

Edit: Don't get me started on China

The way I see things is PND will be in direct competition with Dogecoin with similar large supplies. IE Not enough BTC to keep prices really high but price can still be 3 times higher then Doge. 91 billion / 32 Billion.

This is just very positive speculation, I think Doge has the biggest community by far outside of BTC and Litecoin.

We are not in competition with Dogecoin. Dogecoin has been going down for months now, they are a meme, they don't have POS and their devs are not as active as ours and aiming for a global market. The comparison doesn't make any sense.

There is a good reason why we chose 32 billion supply: Would you rather get 0.001 of coin x or 1 of coin x.
Low coin supply just makes the coin a commodity and not a currency. We aim to be a currency.

I agree with your sentiment. That is what cryptos should be used for. I bought a bit of PND now, I am also invested in Guldencoin as both your coins are spreading to the masses. Which is the right thing to do. Although PND will really battle to be taken on by serious business because of the name, I do believe it will have a niche market that will keep it strong.

Not sure if you call China a niche market. They are 20% of the world's population and are an emerging economy that will surpass US very soon as the world's biggest economy.  Have a look at fiatleak.com and watch them gobble up all the bitcoins. They are primed for crypto.

But the dev's don't seem like they are just trying to cater to China at all, but everyone that COULD get interested in crypto, but just requires the correct platform designed for the common people.

This + Dev's vision is why I bought into PND. This is a long hold for sure.

Don't compare PND with DOGE. They might share a similar theme of being a crypto that has the power to breach the masses. PND has something that DOGE doesnt have - Territorial advantages over in the East, Not a meme, Active Devs that are willing to adopt coin technologies when needed to remain relevant and most importantly - it's being marketed correctly if you saw the so called leaks that I got bashed for.

How about getting a PoD?
http://cryptoasian.com/

This is a good idea; it just re-assures new people.  All of us who've been around know the devs are real.

Also, FYI the Clustercoin dev refused to give POD and vanished after the ICO instadump.  People will be thinking about that if Panda just refuses to provide one.

FUDsters will ride that horse until it dies.

Best to just get one ...
I think "that horse" is more like an amoeba... there's enough POD on this thread alone, and if one bothers to check the IRC channel...

POD is a dumb trend or gimmick that only coins with ICO or IPO needs to reassure their community that the devs are not scammers. And look they advertise Razorcoin T-shirts on the 2nd slide of the page. Biased much?

If anything it should be 'Proof of Development', which we will get as long as our devs pull off a successful August 30th launch.

Remember our target market beyond the bitcointalk market...devs are clearly aiming to reach beyond this land of fudding and retards that buy into coins with features that OUR TARGET MARKET won't give a s**t about. This is clearly one of them.

Proof of Development is all I need.

So I came across something interesting just then when I was checking out the would-be new website for PND!!! I saw a menu header titled ‘Test Homepage 2’ and came across the following page which I’ve screenshotted using a chrome app. Here’s what I got before the page got taken down…

Screenshot link - http://www.pictureshack.us/images/5948_PND_new_homepage2.jpg

Notes – The video was locked and could not be viewed. All links did not work and just redirected me back to the old website. The page was unavailable couple of minutes later and disappeared from the menu after checking out the links and being directed to the old website. Looks like whoever was working on the homepage made a mistake and accidently made the page that they were working on public before taking it down…

Looks like for August 30th we’re getting the following!!!–
New homepage
New branding and marketing messages to reach the masses!
Intro video
PandaBank
Standalone iOS PandaWallet (World first for altcoins?!)
Standalone Android PandaWallet
Pandacoin Browser Miner
PandaMiner
BuyPND
Crypto Crash Course

I’m really excited for the iOS wallet if it means PND will be the first altcoin to have a working standalone wallet out before other coins! Also the PandaBank looks awesome!!! I'm loving the new direction that PND is headed!!!
