Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga)

Getafe was not bad when playing on their home ground in the previous games, so I will try my luck on Getafe +0 @ 1.755 today.

Getafe seem to be the odds on favorite but I'd go for a draw. 1-1.

Was nice to see Real Madrid get demolished at the weekend. Ronaldo will definitely probably want to go back to Manchester now as I can't see them winning anything anytime soon.

Yes, it's down for a while and they are asking to refer to twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/blockchain

Just now I needed to receive my payment via BTC and it's down. It should be back within few houes else my wait will increase. This is the third time in 3-4 months. Sad

You can still recieve payments but just use a desktop wallet if you need access to it straight away. BC.info will inevitably have downtown every so often being a third party website so you should have other wallets anyway.

-giveway primedice
-bittrex
-signature campaign

Can you create a regular income with give(a)ways from primedice? I think it is based on luck and many compete for the reward. I doubt it can be a source of income.

Of course you can't get a regular income from giveaways but if you collect all the ones that are on this forum it will add up to a little amount at least and is better than nothing. I would try look at spending your time on more resourceful ways than relying soley on giveaways though.

I really can't see bitcoin replacing the banks. Best we can hope for is it being a viable alternative but there's always going to be a need for banks and their services especially for the general public.

what you like best in Bitcoin ? decentralized and not issued by any central authority. I think that's what makes it special ultimately. There's been nothing like it before.

Pretty much what I was going to say. It being its own currency and payment processor independent of any authority is revolutionary. I just only hope it actually catches on at one point.

Re: Can people make their public keys location-enabled?

First post ever: I've had bitcoin on my radar since early 2012 but I really only have a layman's understanding of what is possible.
I'm interested in location-based potential of bitcoin and wanted to know if there is a wallet or some kind of app that could be designed to let users "detect" other nearby users and send money to their public keys. Is this already possible?

Why would you even want this? I suspect there will be all sorts of different wallets with all sorts of features in the future. I think they need to add more security features.

Re: Why not just raise the tx fees?
by
Poolie
on 17/08/2015, 12:41:17 UTC
We really shouldn't be making fees higher at this point and this isn't really a solution. People should still be able to send micropayments. I think the block should be made bigger as do most but this whole bitcoinxt thing isn't the way to go.

because bitcoin is about lower fees, if you begin to remove the few advantages that bitcoin have over fiat, than what's the point of using bitcoin at all, only because it's decentralized?

i'm sure this isn't enough for 90% of the people

Exactly. We should keep the fees as low as possible as this is one of the big benefits of bitcoin.

What do you mean by legit? There are no magical money making schemes and they will scam at some point, but check over in the investor based games section if you want to lose your money.

I haven't really spent any big amounts just on small things. I'd prefer to keep most of my bitcoins as an investment at the moment. I'll spend them in the future though just not yet. Would be cool to buy a nice tv or hi-fi.

A new e-bike for about 10.68 BTC

What the heck is an e-bike?

No decent games today really but can we get Roma v Manchester City for tomorrow?

LOL you guys are very late, The matched started and ended already.
oh and the correct score was 1 Mexico - 0 Costa Rica since extra time outcome is considered as a part of the result.

People never check if the game has finished or if the scores have already been picked.

First question, bearing in mind that they'll get harder as the trivia progresses:

What is Penny's last name?

Hint: It's not Penny-Penny.

Penny Lane?  Grin. People will just cheat at this. The internet has ruined pub quizzes and the like.

Re: Suggestion for tablet.. which brand is best ..???
by

on 03/07/2015, 13:07:31 UTC
There is no best brand for tablets, just as there isn't one for smartphones.
I guess this really depends on what you're looking for/your budget. Apple and Samsung are usually the best in both segments (tablets and smartphones). You could try Ipad Air 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

I agree but they're overprice. A cheaper one will do they job just as good, just don't go too cheap. Op, why don't you give us your budget and maybe people can give you better recommendations based on that.

Re: Bitcoin and Porn
by
Poolie
on 17/06/2015, 15:17:51 UTC
Makes sense really, it is the obvious choice.  If anybody has had an eye on the altcoin scene over the last year or so there have been coins created specifically aimed at the porn industry, some of these more obvious than others.  We had Tittiecoin, Sexcoin and so on, I don't think there was ever an Adultcoin which would make more sense and would probably have more adoption as it is not as in your face as some of the blatent porn named coins.

Right now, there are dozens of porn websites which accept Bitcoins. But as of now there is not a single one, which accepts any of these shitcoins. Many of the coins which you had mentioned, are not even actively traded right now. We don't need a separate coin for porn, another one for online shopping, and yet another one for gambling. Bitcoin can be used everywhere.

Which porn sites accept bitcoin (just out of interest?). Are there any camsites that have adopted it yet? I think they could benefiot greatly from bitcoin.
