The Upcoming Launch of Anonymous Project Zcash
by
Posternut
on 23/10/2016, 12:22:49 UTC
On October 28 the Zcash (ZEC) project will release its genesis block into the wild. There’s a lot of anticipation for this project, because it will deploy zero-knowledge security. Thanks to this, developers believe Zcash will be a truly anonymous ledger that doesn’t leak or reveal transaction data.

The Zero Knowledge Proof cryptocurrency concept comes from the Johns Hopkins University Department of Computer Science, which inspired the Zcash project. Evolving from this research, CEO Zooko Wilcox announced Zcash on January 20, 2016. Zcash utilizes zk-SNARKs as a method of providing zero knowledge proofs to the independent blockchain.

Walmart & IBM Improves Food Safety With Blockchain Tech
by
Posternut
on 21/10/2016, 15:41:58 UTC
Walmart recently opened its Food Safety Collaboration Center in Beijing. The new initiative means the multinational is collaborating with IBM and Tsinghua University to improve food quality through the supply chain. It means the food safety partnership is utilizing blockchain technology to provide better food tracking and consumer safety.

Three Organizations Aim to Leverage Blockchain to Provide Better Food Quality

The traditional process of tracking food quality through the supply chain can be a difficult task. Over the years there have been many recalls involving contamination, bad ingredients, and uninspected crops. Many people believe rather than outside regulation the problems can be handled directly from the production and manufacturing process.

Look Beneath the Election for Movements That Make a Difference
by
Posternut
on 20/10/2016, 19:18:29 UTC
The U.S. election approaches, and it’s more apparent than ever that representative governance is a joke. As millions of Americans fight between each other over two sociopaths, society in general looks quite dismal. Be optimistic, though — many movements below the surface are giving a general sense of hope within the confines of this insanity.

Bitcoin’s birth in 2009 introduced the first digital currency that could not be manipulated and controlled by a third party. The concept started with the simple idea of separating state and money. Since then, we’ve seen a constellation of many other ideas based on similar foundations. Many people now realize peer-to-peer relationships based on voluntary consent are superior to the way we handle things today.
