We were paid until the end of December to host the wallet.

All funds are still in their accounts.

The wallet will be reinstated before the end of February and an email sent to all account holders to withdraw their funds within a certain grace period.

Thanks,
Prefinem

BTC-L.com Bitcoin Lottery site (4.5BTC)
by
Prefinem

So, I built a bitcoin lottery site, but I don't have the time or knowledge to market the site and get it off the ground.  The site is 90% automated for selling tickets, and keeping track of everything.  The only thing you have to do is authorize the payout.

The reason I am selling it is for two reasons. One: I don't think I could get it running because of my lack of experience in this area (I am a developer) and two because I don't have any time to dedicate towards this.  I work full time along with 3 other current projects.

Right now the site makes revenue by taking a cut off the top of the lottery.  I initially ran a lottery when I first built the site and made around 10 dollars at the time to prove the concept.  I just haven't had the time to dedicate to the project.

The lottery is extremely simple to use.  All you have to do is send in bitcoin to the address provided to purchase tickets.  Once a winner is picked, the payment is made back to the winners bitcoin address.  Winner is selected through a verification process that uses outside information to provide randomness and variability.

The site is https://btc-l.com.  I am selling the domain, code, api information, etc.  If you need help, I can install the site on your servers in less than a day.

If you do have changes you want, I will be available to make them or answer any questions you have about the site.  If the changes are really big, we can negotiate a payment to ensure that I get to it right away and fix it.  I am looking to sell it for around 4.5 BTC.  If you are really interested, I can negotiate.

I would say that if you want investors, you should pay them out at their investment rate (ie, if someone purchase 25% of a your hashrate then you pay them 25% of the bitcoin received minus a small fee and electricity rates.) every so often (day/week/month) based on what they choose.

This, a) means that those investing start getting rewarded as soon as they invest and b) will prompt more investment as their payouts are often, they will more likely reinvest their earnings.

So say I have an ASIC, I would put say 100 shares that are purchasable.  Its hashrate is X.  An investor purchases 10 shares.  Their bitcoin amount rate equals X/10*.95 (5% fee)-(electrical costs)/10.  This means that investors don't have to take a huge risk by purchasing small share amounts, the user running the ASIC recieves a 5% fee for maintaining/etc and the initial cost (if there are enough investors) is 0 or close too.

I hope I could be white listed to be able to discuss more further with some real professional on this forum. I am sure in short time I will be the one helping the other, when the knowledge will come, I will share for sure. I love writing tutorial and I have an excellent working ethic. I think Bitcoin will be a real revolution in the world economy. So I am ready for the future and I hope for the best.

I'm a student developer working on building a bitcoin block chain parser as a backend to a bitcoin visualization art project. I'd appreciate whitelisting so I can ask some questions in the developer forum. Thanks!

Why don't you read and search on the forum (need 4 hours) and make the 4-5 minimum posts requirements instead of asking to be whitelisted.  There is a reason they have the spam blockers in place.

What about simultaneous transactions?
30 people send 0.1 each at the same time... all in the same block.

Oh and upper limits don't make sense at all, since one can easily just bet from different addresses.

Even the value of the Dow Jones is not very random and it also doesn't change every second of the day. Also I'm not too sure if you can even get quotes down to the second there.

At the time when 30 are thirty people purchasing tickets (actually, well before then) I will introduce no limit daily (or hourly) lotteries.  This means the limit won't matter anymore.

And yes, I understand the upper limit doesn't make any sense in that you can bypass it. I was actually thinking of removing it since you can easily get around it.

Hitpoints let you take more damage.  I need more so these Beastly Fidos won't kill me when I leave the Temple.

Probably shouldn't leave the Temple....

I enjoy reading the forum. I don't enjoy posting.  Try counting all of the individual muscle movements required just to type one sentence.
