BFL has caught up on Jalepeno orders up to July 31st. Is there any news on when they will start shipping the other higher hashing miners?

Has anyone posted about actually receiving their units?

Jalapenos are all over this forum. selling for crazy prices.

cgminer did not recognize the ASIC, but it did run the FPGA.

Even with updates?

I'm talking about buying a real BFL miner, not a pre-order.
I would try to start mining Bitcoin and if it doesn't work i would use the same BFL miner with minor coins, like Litecoin.
Am i wrong?
Yes youre wrong. BFL is only bitcoin / namecoin.

The thing is, most people have switched to mining litecoins with their gpus due to their easier difficulty and lack of ASICs. So if you arent one of the people with rigs dedicated to mining, you should probably mess around with litecoin.

You're probably right that mining alt coins (litecoin) is more efficient for GPU miners, but many newbies just won't be interested in the added complication. Personally I can talk to friends about bitcoin, but with alternative coins it starts to become tedious. For many people one cryptocurrency is enough. For me, you're right, I should probably switch.

mine LTC and dont convert to fiat...convert to BTC.

source on them shipping?

From the bfl forums. and chatbox.

Was it just some random guy claiming it or was it Josh?  If they are really shipping it will add significant value to the item you are trying to sell. I'm just trying to help.

It was the first guy on order Sgtspike and josh speaking with him on the forums.
To clarify, I was informed that this is not the singles I had on order, it is something else!  I jumped to conclusions when I saw that BFL had shipped me something.

Balls,  Well there you have it guys! Clarified by the man himself.
