PNC Bank a top ten bank in the United States has joined RippleNet. It all started with the hint that the xRapid platform will launch next month. It was reported by CNBC. Now it is combined with FOMO but I think it won't stop any time soon.

Re: ICO's should accept more altcoins other than ETH and BTC

The type of cryptos used as a contribution value during an ICO is dependent on the project development team, whether or not an independent blockchain is involved and the budgetary make up; this is so because once a particular currency is set, it is usually inconvenient to the prospective investor if it changes sporadically as it could be a deterrent to many interest parties. A part of the raised sum is usually liquidated and converted to fiat currencies to cater for non-crypto related expenses such as power bill, stationeries, and other expenses which do not require cryptos to pay off.

The Europeans have much better approving sense for cryptos. The EU investigation into fintech competition identifies cryptocurrencies as a strong competitor to incumbent financial services, highlighting the fact that blockchain platforms offer more efficient, lower-cost alternatives to traditional models. European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs revealed a highly nuanced EU Parliament position on cryptocurrencies, with the committee stating the possibility for crypto to function as an alternative to fiat currency in a variety of different applications.

Well, by definition, centralization and decentralization are directly opposing concepts, but we definitely need both of them. In my opinion, decentralized market is better. It offers freedom to its users and community and in decentralized market your private info and identity are quite safe. There is no central authority in decentralized market..

Well, in practice, withdrawing money from an exchange with KYC verification is far more complicated and time-consuming than sending money to the exchange. Such exchanges often require their customers to submit two or more pieces of personal identification, and the submission itself doesn’t guarantee verification.

Important thing is to find out as much as possible about the founders, developers, advisory board members, pre-ICO investors and anyone else involved in the project.

Well, always think of your security when you invest. I suggest you not to invest in dice sites, because you can loose everything. Maybe the best solution is to keep your bitcoins away in cold storage.

As you have seen many dApps are switching to EOS and over a longer period of time, EOS will increase in tandem with the usability of the platform. Since many of the enterprises, companies and developers are looking for such a decentralized blockchain-based platform, the future looks bright. Also, owing to the parallel execution, the scalability of the platform is huge. The same developer is able to run multiple applications that are similar on the blockchain-based platform. This, in turn, opens up doors for more and more decentralized applications as well. On a single year basis as well as a five-year basis, it will indeed become easier for the investors to generate a significant amount of return by investing in EOS.

Re: Cryptocurrency to be Taught in Schools?

Is is more about the tech behind the cryptocurrencies than the cryptocurrencies itself. In the best way, blockchain is wildly unconventional. To advance the world-changing potential of anti-dogmatic thinking, we need to encourage kids’ inventiveness. We’ve labeled a generation of kids “tech-savvy” without giving them the tools to move from consumption to creation. Blockchain is set to change the world. But as we continue to encounter environmental and societal problems, we need amazing minds to solve them. Revolutionizing how we teach technology education might be the answer we didn’t know we needed.

Re: ETH or EOS? which coin will survive?
by
Primaryio
on 21/09/2018, 05:34:40 UTC
The Ethereum platform was officially launched at July 30, 2015,[5] and is still in active development. One would think they would have already solved the Transactions Per Second issue. Let's be honest, 15tps is beyond pathetic and worse. Everybody would have assumed that it would be up to at least 500 to 1000 TPS by now. It's been 3 years. This is where EOS should shine bright, because EOS in 3 years to me looks like 50,000 up to 100,000+ TPS if not more. All while faithfully staying as Decentralized as they get. As the platform matures so should the speed & efficiency. ETH greatly lacks this and it will show in the coming years. ETH was a good proof of concept for it's time as a second generation blockchain with smart contracts, but it cannot be too easily upgraded.

This is why EOS will surpass it in the future because of the extremely high TPS and low block times it offers. EOS also has a governance model that allows for problems to be solved on-chain rather than having to rely on hard forking in the case of bugs or hacks.

ICOs are all the rage, even in 2018. They have the potential to raise millions of dollars in investment and returns, and, according to me, can be a great source of return if you play your cards correctly. Look for projects that solve some real problems and offer something beyond just the words about how cool their token will rise in the future.

Re: Why Malta is the most favored Location for Crypto Exchanges?
by
Primaryio
on 21/09/2018, 05:15:08 UTC
The EU is looking at cryptocurrency regulation but so far hasn’t issued any details. That’s given Malta the chance to take the lead in drawing up its own framework. If the EU develops a more coordinated, and tougher, regime for cryptos, that could mean Malta becomes less accommodating. Malta is also trying to attract blockchain businesses, a strategy that may insulate it from any broader digital-currency fallout. Malta is trying to pull the center of the crypto-trading world to the west. Malta has the lowest corporation tax rates in the EU and, while working hard to shake-off a persistent tax haven label, has been eager to promote itself as a fin-tech and crypto hub.

Well, in many ways, gold and Bitcoin are similar except that gold has passed the test of time while Bitcoin is in its infancy as a universal currency. Some experts are examining the possibility that Bitcoin could surpass gold as the most trusted fall back commodity. I think it is possible.

Re: Trading, ICO, Lending, Bounty. Which one should I do ?
by
Primaryio
on 20/09/2018, 11:55:41 UTC
Well, first of all you should learn how to choose a good ICO, also do research to find out good ICOs for yourself. ICOs can be very profitable if you choose the right one. There are a ton of ICOs out there, with every single one of them promising huge returns and useful perks for potential investors. But before you get carried away and start sending your hard earned money to every single project out there, remember that many, if not most of those projects will inevitably fail or will turn out to be a scam. So be careful and don't commit more money than you can afford to lose.

Re: What an ICO should focus on? Services or Investment?
by
Primaryio
on 20/09/2018, 11:20:57 UTC
Well, definitely both are required. It is important to assess the expansion potential that the project has. If it is aiming to solve an issue in a local way or for a small audience, chances are it will not grow a lot. If the project has a roadmap that extends for years and the project aims to solve an issue that affects at a global scale, chances for exponential growth are higher.

It is important to always be cautious with your identifying details. You definitely should not send personal information to a new project that  that you just heard about... Everybody should be very careful with their identity documents and information. These things should be expected, because it's a decentralized world.
