Re: Looking for Peerbet Android app beta testers - free Bitcoins available

Working well on HTC Desire.

Suggestions for improvements would be adding an easy way to make withdrawals / transfers and perhaps allowing a qrcode to be generated for the pay-in address.

The biggest trust issue I have so far encountered is with exchanges. Converting between bitcoin and national currencies when exchanges are all (to varying degrees) a bit hard to have much confidence in is really going to limit adoption.

Gambling mostly. I find it fun.

Be very careful, gambling has negative EV!

There are sites (peerbet is the one i can think of) that (at least claim to) take no profit from the gambling, instead taking their revinue from the ads on the page.

I think free <0.001 BTC websites are a good way of giving people something to play with and get them intereted in bitcoin. Not much actual value, but if it was they couldn' tgive it away!

Hi,
I would very much appreciate being allowed out of newbieland. I have done some of bitcoin mining for a year now and have learned much about it. I would really like to participate in the other areas.

Thanks!

I am being from Europe. I am here because I like the idea of a truly international currency without the pretence of claiming reserve backing or other illusion. I have done some of bitcoin mining. One day I hope able to be buying my lunch in bitcoins  Grin

I can see how the aim of keeping bots and spammers out of the main forums is a good thing. However it can be a pain for real people to have to jump through all these hoops. I would also have thoughts that bots and spammers could still get through...

I guess if it's working I see why they keep the system in place.
