Why Qtum is the Real Evolution of Bitcoin
When you look back at the history of the crypto ecosystem, there will be two dates that standout: October 31, 2008: The day Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper. July 30, 2015: The day Ethereum was launched. The importance of these two protocols is pretty self-explanatory. First, Bitcoin introduced the concept of decentralized money and blockchain technology to the mainstream. Meanwhile, Ethereum successfully deployed smart contracts, which empowered developers worldwide to create decentralized applications.

Qtum Mainnet Staking Update
For this blog, we use the data set for one month of results from January 1 to January 31, 2022, with 83,703 blocks. From earlier reports, the main change is the addition of super stakers, delegate addresses, and 32-second block spacing, so we provide those details

How Qtum Achieves High Scalability Without Compromising Decentralization
Scalability has been the hottest topic in the crypto space over the last half a decade. We have seen several projects adopt a centralized stance just to speed up their overall throughput. However, is that really the best way to move forward? Qtum posits that scalability and decentralization may not be as mutually exclusive as one thinks. Before we go any further, let’s take a deeper look at the scalability trilemma.

Introduction to Janus
Qtum uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to allow smart contracts on our blockchain. Because Qtum is a fork of Bitcoin, it belongs to the “Unspent Transaction Output” (UTXO) family of projects.
In this article you will read about Janus, RPC, Metamask and much more.

Qtum Ledger Loader
The Qtum team has released a side loader for the Qtum-developed Ledger app which enables Ledger Nano S users to make smart contract transactions such as QRC20 transfers and offline staking address delegations with Ledger.
This report will walk through the installation of the Qtum App into the Nano S, and show how to use Ledger with the Qtum Electrum wallet for offline staking address delegation and QRC20 token transfers. Ledger users will see the familiar interface on the Ledger device, scroll through screens to verify the hash and transaction details, and manually approve everything on the device.

Introduction to Qtum Staking
Qtum is a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) based decentralized network. This means that nodes may lock up their QTUM tokens in the network directly or delegate them to someone else to stake new blocks successfully. Read more: https://medium.com/@Qtum/introduction-to-qtum-staking-a255adf708a6

Qtum Decentralization
Decentralization is one of the core tenets of blockchain technology. Simply put, decentralization is the process by which the governance activities of an organization are distributed or delegated away from a centralized body. Today, in this article, let’s look at the history of decentralization and the state of blockchain networks today. Read more: https://blog.qtum.org/qtum-decentralization-a87dabcdbdca
