This may be my first post but i've been a bitcointalk stalker for 6 months now. Decided to register since I can help answer your question Cheesy. You can buy COLX from Coinsmarkets. I just signed up today to get some. Website seems sketchy as hell and the interface reminds me of a badly hooked up myspace account but I did some research and they seem legit. Good Luck!

BTW, you can also check which coins are on which exchange by searching up a coin in coinmarketcap and then click markets from the page of the coin you are on.
Thanks.  Some people have reported issues with withdrawals from that site.  Does anyone know if tradesatoshi exchange is safer?

Re: Suprnova.cc scam?!

Suprnova seems to be messed up like many people in this thread have said:

I'm using Suprnova and CCMiner x64 2.2.3 (ccMiner tpruvot fork v2.2.3 With Polytimos and KeccakC support) with 4 gtx 1070s to mine Monacoin (Lyra2Rev2 algo).

CCMiner reports around 34-35 MH/s per card = 139-140 MH/s total yet Suprnova reports around 80 - 100 MH/s on the graph on the left, and in a box on the right reports around 80 MH/s.

Also, according to whattomine, I should be making 1.1-1.2 Monacoin per day.  Well, I've been mining for about 12 days and only have 8.5 Monacoin (8 paid, 0.5 not paid yet).

Something is obviously not right.  Scamming us?  Tech issue?  Both?...

Something is screwed up still.

I'm using Suprnova and CCMiner x64 2.2.3 (ccMiner tpruvot fork v2.2.3 With Polytimos and KeccakC support) with 4 gtx 1070s.

CCMiner reports around 34-35 MH/s per card = 139-140 MH/s total.

Yet Suprnova reports areound 80 - 100 MH/s on the graph on the left, and in a box on the right it reports around 80 MH/s

Also, according to whattomine, I should be making 1.1 - 1.2 Monacoin per day.  Well, I've been mining for about 12 days and have 8.5 Monacoin to show for it.

This is BS and people claiming the issue has been fixed are obviously incorrect.

This must be fixed.

Does anyone know any other pools to mine Monacoin that don't screw you over???

It's been around 1 hour and still no confirmation email when trying to sign up at https://tec.ark.io/sign-up .  I re-sent verificiation email and checked my junk folder as well but still nothing.  Is it supposed to take more than 1 hour?

Yes. It ended 4 months ago...

Why would you sign-up to tec.ark.io ? ARKs have already been distributed to those that had accounts - if you sign-up with new account your balance will be 0 .
Well, I'm following exact directions on setting up my account (ArkClient) and so I can vote for delegates.  The instructions state to go to the site....

https://blog.ark.io/how-to-vote-or-un-vote-an-ark-delegate-and-how-does-it-all-work-819c5439da68
Yes, I read the instructions on how to vote but I don't think I'm at that step yet.  I opened ArkClient, clicked create account, and copied my 12-word password and other password.  Is that it to setup the account?  It says "This account has never interacted with the network. This is a cold wallet.".  Anything else I have to do before continuing on with voting for a delegate?

Yes, you need to buy ARK coins with Bitcoins Smiley Bittrex.com would be a great place to start.

Then transfer the ARK coins to your wallet address.

It says it a cold wallet because you have never sent anything out from there.
Already had ARK on Bittrex from before.  I didn't know setup was so simple, lol.

I just want to make sure one more time, other than having to trust the delegate to payout, is there any risk at all with the actual coins (eg. 30,000 ARK) I use to vote?  Does the delegate, or anyone but me for that matter, have any sort of access to the coins I decide to "share" with the delegate?  I'm planning on voting for 2 delegates and splitting my coins 50/50 with each (about 15,000 ARK coins each)...

you control your ARK tokens always 100% of the time.  Even if you vote for some other delegate, you can move your ark to any other wallet at any time and you never have to give up control of the coin.  This is a very important aspect of crypto, hold your own keys.  Be your own bank.
OK, so as long as I vote for a particular delegate, why does it matter whether I contribute 1,000 ARK or 20,000 ARK?  If no one has access to my coins then how are my coins benefitting / making a difference to the delegate?

Each vote cost 1 Ark if I vote and after few days decide to un vote, will I get back my ARK?
I have a very small amount of ark I.e only 8k, which delegate should I vote for (top one or someone from middle) to get best results?
Good questions.

It doesn't make sense to me yet.  Some delegates only share 50 or 55% and others share 75% or more yet the delegates which share LESS ARK have much more votes and voters than the ones that share MORE ARK.  How does that make any logical sense???

I see two reason just from the top of my head:

1. Because they started early, and usually have one big backer/voter (probably themselves). They don't need more votes (right now). No need to offer bigger rewards... People just registering nodes need some way to attract new votes. Greed is always a good ally...

2. Some people honestly believe in backing the community and support nodes that will give a % of the income into developing services. They are not only looking for short term profit, but think of it as a long term investment...

P.S. Don't try to understand everything. You'll go nuts Wink
Thanks again Smiley I see, for other long-term projects, not just short-term profit-making.
I am in ARK for the future of ARK, not just profits.  I believe in it.

Final question.  I don't have an account with the ARK client yet (I just downloaded it but didn't set anything up) and therefore haven't voted for anyone yet.  Do I have to do all this before forging starts later today or can I do it tomorrow, next week, next month, etc.?

Hmmm, I guess I'm still not understanding something.  If all that is correct, then why do the delegates with high sharing % and low votes have so little votes?  Wouldn't everyone want to join high sharing and little votes so they can receive much more ARK?

Eg.  Anamix (https://forum.ark.io/topic/184/anamix-delegate-70-sharing-profit-pool) has a higher share pool than many in the top 51, why would people not be voting for him if his share % is good?

I don't understand what the "catch" is for voting for some of the bigger delegates.  It seems you get much less with them because your votes are smaller percent and some don't offer high sharing yet so many people vote for them.  I'd like to understand why so I can decide who to vote my 30,000 ARK for.

OK.  So is it better to vote for a delegate with the least amount of ARK so that the ARK coins I vote with are a higher percentage of the total ARK for that delegate?

For example: Would it make more sense for someone to vote for ondin rather than dafty or arknet since ondin's delegate only has about 300,000 ARK coins while dafty's and arknet's have about 635,000 and 770,000?  This way your ARK coins would make up a bigger percentage of the total delegates' ARK coins?  Or is there a downside to voting for a delegate with less votes (assuming they stay within the top 51)?

Yes, it's better to vote for a delegate with less votes, so your votes count for a bigger %.

But... :
1. Not all delegates give the same % of rewards to voters. It's anywhere from 40-100%
2. Some delegates don't even give it out proportionaly. I saw one that has kind of a lottery every time. Winner takes all.
3. Delegates on the bottom of the 51 have a big chance of dropping out, so you risk getting 0.
OK.  Assuming 2 delegates both don't drop out of top 51, both give out the same %, and my votes contribute the same percentage to both...Would that mean I'll get the exact same results no matter which one I vote for or is it like Bitcoin mining where different people can get much more/less Bitcoin depending on other factors (eg. like how powerful their hardware is)?

OK.  If I vote with 30,000 ARK, does anyone else have access to my coins including the delegate?  I'm trying to figure out if holding all your coins on a delegate thing is a security risk.

Thanks, that really helped.

So if I vote using all my ARK - let's say it's 30,000 ARK coins - does that mean I give away 30,000 ARK so I won't have any ARK coins left?  I'll have to wait for the small rewards to make my ARK coins back?  Wouldn't that take many years?

OK, I read some of those links about being a delegate or voting but I still don't really understand what I'm doing.  I also read this link: https://blog.ark.io/lets-forge-some-ark-rewards-kick-in-at-block-75-600-abe2e7bf2b98

I can see there's no way for me to make it to top 51 delegates by the time forging begins.

What are the benefits of joining/voting a delegate?  It says the more ARK I have, the more I can use for voting power/percentage or something?  If I vote using 30,000 ARK coins, does that mean I'm giving away 30,000 ARK coins to the delegate guy?  And in exchange I'll receive a very small percentage back every month?

I don't really understand any of this or why I would want to do this...Can someone shed some more light please?

P.S.  I cannot sign up to Slack to get more info because it says I must be invited:
