Quick question about temperature.  I'm hoping to run these devices (12 of them) for the next 6-12 months but where I want to run them is not temp controlled and will be below freezing temp at some point.  Will that be an issue for these things to be getting that cold?  I plan to leave them running and they won't get frozen as long as they are running.  I could see them turning back on from frozen being an issue but I can work on that also.

Any thoughts here?

Thanks

Roger

I wish i could say that, miners will heat that room up for sure.
They generate heat quite well.

Whoops pin 31 on the bottom is also a short pin just like pin 32 on top, pin 31 is directly under pin 32.
They are not connected.

I tried:  pin32 to ground nothing
pin32 to ground with pin 35 or 37 or 39 also to ground nothing
tied pin 32 and 32 together and also to ground nothing

Any other combo's i should try?

Thanks for your help!

Usually the fat tabs are 12v and ground, because they will hold the greatest load. Looks like you have 4 pairs of 12v+ground (left/right and top/bottom). There is likely also a power sense that is supposed to be attached to 12v, and a power on pin that, when grounded, turn on the power supply when combined with the sense > 12v. One of the small pins should also be a standby 5v that always puts out 5v.

Pin 30 is 5v but the power sence and power on or pson pin are still unknown.
I just don't want to see the magic smoke after connecting random pins Smiley

Maybe not really helping but why set your device to 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.1.255 when the blade is on 192.168.1.201?
Why not 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255 ?

Hmm really? They are ok but also the first from HK who put real or almost real value on their shipments.
It's still parts, not a finished functioning product.

KWH meters and how you are using them
by
Questionator2
on 27/05/2014, 01:02:23 UTC
Hello Miners,

How many of you use a KWH meter?

I bought a simple and cheap KWH meter from a local hardware store.
It was only 20,- euro but i'm not sure about it, maybe you get what you pay for?
But is that true?

It reads:

233V
8.95A
1991 to 1994 W

i know that's not right

So i did the magic google search and found a calculator.
233 x 8.95 = 2085.35W

How does that happen?

np and thank's for the reply.
I did not get it to run, i also have to work and do other things Sad
So these two wires will power it, i hope i could be sure not to short anything in a bad way.
I know the large tabs will be +12 and -12 but not sure about how to find out the other pins.
Still hoping someone could tell me more about this model or how to find out.

Arggg, i know basic stuff but this is a bit to much for me.
I need it to fully power my Antminer S1, now i only have a shitty 480W to power one blade.
Google isn't helping me, i wish it was <2004 when google gave up lot's of technical hits.
Do you remember when you could find a lot on Google, not just adds and shitty website's?

Edit: 480W total i think, it can't power both on the PCI

Hello Miners,

I have 2 $400 coupons for the Antminer S2 but i'm a small player and 1 is enough for me.
I will accept everything, just make me an offer.
Some BTC would be nice, but i'm open for anything.
